And so that’s the series of events that led to the gang going to Bourt for the second time, because now of course it was clear that Qaeron did indeed kill the actual Bear Queen and not her identical sister Grazer. Well, he did kill her identical sister, but he also killed the Bear Queen too.

“Qaeron, you are in here today because it turned out that you actually did kill the Bear Queen,” said the replacement Bear Judge (the first one was executed in case you forgot in the period of time between you reading this and you reading chapter 30).

Before Qaeron could open his mouth, the doors of the Bourtroom SLAMMED open. You’ll never guess who walked in. It was the BEAR KING, KING OF ALL BEARS ON THE PLANET OF BEAR STONE PLANET.

“Everyone be quiet!” said The Bear King, king of all bears on the planet of Bear Stone Planet. Everyone was already quiet, though. “I have urgent news. A rogue bear has been captured. It turns out that this bear… was DISGUISED as QAERON, and HE killed my very good wife, Bear Queen.”

A bear chained to a cart was wheeled into the room. This bear looked identical to Qaeron.

“I am now going to reveal who he is,” said The Bear King, king of all bears on the planet of Bear Stone Planet, as he ripped the fake Qaeron head off of the head of the bear disguised as Qaeron. Under the mask was a DIFFERENT BEAR! The Bourtroom was filled with gasps.

“Literally who is that, bro?” Hoofa asked the gang.

“No clue,” said Bird.

“Crunch!” shouted The Bear King, king of all bears on the planet of Bear Stone Planet. “Why would you commit the crimes of identity fraud AND murder?”

“I’ll tell you why,” said the bear who was formerly disguised as Qaeron, whose name was Crunch, as he took off his second mask, revealing that he was actually The Bear King, king of all bears on the planet of Bear Stone Planet. “Because he killed my wife!”

“Oh my god!” gasped the bear who was disguised as The Bear King, king of all bears on the planet of Bear Stone Planet, taking off his mask and revealing that he was actually Crunch.

By this point, all the bears in Bourt were freaking out, screaming and running everywhere.

“Qaeron!” yelled the actual Bear King over all the commotion. “I sentence you to death for killing my wife!”

“But that makes no sense!” yelled Snorter. “How could it be that Qaeron killed your wife and then you disguised as him and killed your wife? Your wife can only be killed once.”

“My word is final!” said The Bear King, king of all bears on the planet of Bear Stone Planet.
