Chapter 12.5 – Flora’s Thoughts
It's been a long time since I've seen my son this happy.
Ever since middle school, he had tried his best to be distant from everyone else. He tried to shut his heart out ever since that event happened.
My husband, Yuuto, and I tried our best to help him recover, but it sadly backfired. If anything, he got more distant after our attempts at helping.
That's why I was worried if he would ever recover. The cheerful little boy that was my son had turned into a gloomy person who kept his distance at any chance.
I truly hoped for a miracle to happen. If his parents weren't able to help, there would be little chance he could recover.
I kept acting normal around him and encouraged him as a way for him to slowly regain his senses.
By then, a year had passed and I was slowly losing hope for a miracle, but then...
Takei went to school one day and came home drenched. Worried, I asked him what was the cause of his situation.
He explained to me that a girl had forgotten her umbrella so he let her borrow his.
On the outside, I acted normal and praised his actions. On the inside however, I was overjoyed to hear my son help someone else. I had previously thought Takei had lost all of his selflessness and compassion. However, this one event raised a signal in my head.
This person was capable of making him change for the better, was what I thought. I immediately wanted to meet this person and find out what type of character they had. However, I knew it was not wise to push the subject in fear of upsetting his feelings.
Therefore, I patiently waited until Takei was ready to reveal who this mystery person was. Luckily, I didn't have to wait for long because I managed to meet this person at the entrance of my house the very next day.
I was coming home from buying groceries and caught an unfamiliar girl in front of our house so I quietly waited close by to see what they wanted.
It seemed like Takei was talking to a girl from school that he knew. That girl had a quite refined aura surrounding her. She had long golden hair along with an ample chest to go along with it. The way she talked sounded so compassionate and caring. There was no doubt that this girl was a goddess in the flesh.
"I'll be fine without you, it wouldn't be good if you entered a boy's house by yourself."
"Uuu, you should be fine though..."
I managed to catch a snippet of their conversation from the far distance I was hiding from. This girl was most likely the person Takei was talking about yesterday from the way the conversation was going.
It was at this point I had decided to do my best to support the both of them. I knew this girl was capable of changing Takei for the better, so I resolved myself to do my best as a mother to encourage the two of them.
Of course it wasn't all for Takei's sake, I also wanted another cute daughter to dote on. It's a mother's natural instinct to want to dote on cute children, right?

This was an extremely short chapter on my part, you readers have my apologies. I wanted to write a short story from Flora's perspective that showed her feelings on the situation.
Main story will return with tomorrow's chapter, please stay tuned.
