Chapter 318: The Resurrection of Optimus Prime! Dangerous Struggle Between the Gipsy and Megatronus!

Before long, under the precise tracking of the Universal Megacorp, the Decepticons, including Starscream, quickly pinpointed the location of Sam.

At this moment, Sam was attempting to use the ashes of the Key to revive the recently delivered corpse of Optimus Prime, brought by the Autobots.

Nearby the temple, not only was there a group of Autobot warriors, but a special forces team from the United States had also arrived. They were on a mission to find Sam and bring him back to the NEST base before Megatron could abduct him.

On the way to the temple, the intelligence division of Universal Megacorp constantly relayed real-time information to the Decepticons.

Upon realizing that Universal Megacorp seemed to have the technology to deploy surveillance in any area with electronic devices, the Decepticons grew even more wary of the corporation.

With this in mind, Starscream became alert and ordered his fellow Decepticons:

"Listen up, everyone! We must follow the orders of Universal Megacorp to the letter. If anyone messes up, I will not forgive them!"

"Yes!"

While the Decepticons might appear like clumsy, dim-witted robots, in reality, internal conflict on Cybertron was fierce and unending. Every Cybertronian who survived to this point was highly astute.

Even the seemingly simple-minded Decepticons knew when to humble themselves before a leader and when to show their claws.

Having joined the Universal Megacorp, they were eager to demonstrate their worth in order to secure a position in the corporation's future operations.

"Is that Optimus Prime? He looks like a pile of useless junk, so pathetic."

Upon arriving at the scene, the Decepticons spotted Sam and his team from a distance.

"The Matrix energy of Optimus Prime is completely extinguished. Only the Matrix itself or a Leadership Module can bring him back now," Soundwave remarked, clicking his tongue.

Optimus Prime was a towering figure, not only among the Autobots but also rivaling Megatron in the Decepticons. His reputation on Cybertron was immense.

Unfortunately, now he lay like a pile of rotting scrap metal, lifeless in the barren desert, evoking a sense of desolation.

For a brief moment, the Decepticons felt a pang of dread. If they hadn't surrendered to Universal Megacorp, their end might have been even worse than Optimus Prime's!

"Alright, enough of this. There's no time to waste. We've got a job to do."

Starscream's warning snapped the Decepticons out of their reverie. They weren't here to gawk at Optimus Prime's sad state. Their priority was to teach Sam a lesson.

"See Sam? You lot take care of the other Autobots. Don't let those meddling humans and Autobots block my way."

Starscream sent orders to his underlings over the internal Decepticon communication channel. "Be careful not to harm Sam, focus on the others."

"Understood!"

The Decepticons accelerated towards their target area, heading for the Autobots and the American special forces.

The sound of engines roared in the sky, with most of the Decepticons transforming into various fighter jets, which made for an impressive entrance. Their villainous presence was undeniable.

Seeing the Decepticons hurtling toward them, the American forces immediately opened fire, unleashing a torrent of bullets and artillery at the Decepticons.

However, the bullets and shells were insignificant, merely scratching the paint of the Decepticons' armored forms. The flying projectiles were too slow and cumbersome to even pose a threat.

The Decepticons barreled through the chaos, with Starscream easily reaching Sam's location in the sky.

As the massive shadow cast over him, Sam shivered. The eerie sensation was reminiscent of encounters with indigenous peoples, and it made him feel like all hope was lost.

"Bumblebee!!"

Just as Sam shouted, Soundwave acted first, intercepting Bumblebee, while Starscream zeroed in on Sam.

The two Autobots, Red and Green, attempted to intercept Starscream in an effort to buy Sam some time. However, before they could do anything, they were effortlessly kicked away by Starscream's subordinate, Lightning.

"Good job, Lightning."

Starscream grinned before grabbing Sam and flying him through the air for a couple of laps. After pretending to be hit by a human missile, Starscream dropped Sam from a great height.

At the moment of descent, Starscream threw Sam out just before crashing to the ground, carefully controlling the angle and height. Despite the seemingly gentle throw, Sam still rolled a few times upon hitting the ground and fell unconscious, with the ashes of the Leadership Module scattered around him.

"Sam!"

At that moment, Sam's girlfriend Mikaela rushed to his side, heedless of her own safety. She threw herself onto Sam, trying to shield him from Starscream's next attack.

But the show was almost over, as the Universal Megacorp's forces had already arrived. It was time for them to retreat.

"We're leaving," Starscream ordered.

Without hesitation, the Decepticons abandoned their attack and returned to the skies from where they came. It felt like they had been busy for a long time, but in the end, little had been accomplished.

Neither the Autobots nor the American forces suffered significant losses. It seemed the Decepticons' visit was merely to give Sam a taste of being an "aerial acrobat."

Bumblebee and Red and Green, who were still confused and disoriented, finally realized that, except for Sam, everyone else was unharmed.

"When did Sam offend Starscream? He came all the way here just to toss him around like that?" Bumblebee wondered.

In the original plot, the Autobots and humans would have suffered heavy casualties in this attack. However, under Li Ang's arrangement, only Sam was injured. This was a necessary sacrifice—without it, Universal Megacorp could never acquire the Leadership Module.

As everyone gathered around Sam, checking his vitals, Sam, already in a deep coma, unknowingly entered a strange alternate space.

Sam could clearly sense that he was in his dream, not in the real world. However, he could only blindly follow a subtle feeling, aimlessly moving forward.

Then, a distant yet nearby voice echoed:

"Sam, we have been watching you."

Through the thick mist, Sam could feel that the speaker was just behind it. As he moved forward, a deep voice rang out:

"Optimus Prime is our descendant. You have been brave and selfless for him, and we see the leadership potential within you."

At this moment, six different metallic giants emerged from the mist, revealing themselves to be the long-lost Primes.

Sam instantly recognized them—the Primes he had seen inside the temple.

Stunned and confused, Sam stared blankly at the six Primes, his mind a blank slate, unsure of what to say.

In truth, Sam's reason for helping Optimus Prime wasn't solely due to the Autobots or his care for humanity's fate. It was also because, on his own, he couldn't escape. Without the Autobots, he would have long since perished at the hands of the Decepticons.

"We have decided to entrust the Leadership Module to you. We believe in the future of the Autobots and trust you won't disappoint us."

"Fuse it with Optimus Prime's Matrix, and you will witness the resurrection of a completely new Optimus Prime."

As the Primes' illusory figures began to fade, their lingering electronic souls had waited for this moment—the arrival of a worthy individual.

The "lock" on the Leadership Module was their doing, and with the lock now opened, they too would vanish and no longer exist.

As the Primes and the special consciousness space disappeared, Sam awoke.

"Whoo—!"

Upon opening his eyes, Sam saw his friends gathered around him—Mikaela, Bumblebee, and the other Autobots.

Once fully awake, Sam noticed the Leadership Module lying on the ground, having reformed from its ashes into a newly vibrant form.

The core of the module gleamed with sapphire-like brilliance—the Leadership Module that Megatronus would go crazy for!

Without a moment to waste, Sam rushed to pick up the Leadership Module, heading toward Optimus Prime's body with urgency.

---

Once they reached Optimus Prime's chest area, Sam raised the Leadership Module high in his hands, then forcefully plunged it into Optimus Prime's Spark Chamber.

With a crisp cracking sound, a miracle occurred. The previously lifeless Optimus Prime's dim eyes suddenly flickered with light.

Then, his mechanical body began to respond, the revived brain signaling the body to come to life. The sound of gears turning and joints shifting echoed as Optimus Prime slowly stood up.

In an instant, Sam, Bumblebee, and the other Autobots were filled with joy and surprise. Seeing the revived Optimus Prime, their hearts found a sense of leadership.

Feeling the endless energy flowing from the Leadership Module, Optimus Prime looked at Sam with unexpected joy and said:

"Child, thank you for everything you've done for me."

Though Optimus Prime was unaware of what had transpired during his death, the fact that Sam had managed to find the Leadership Module could not have been easy.

It was because of humans like Sam that Optimus Prime was willing to endure the repeated provocations and harassment from the U.S. government, continuing to protect humanity as a species.

Not far off, the elderly Transformer "Jetfire," leaning on an iron cane and hunched over, slowly approached. Gazing at Optimus Prime, who now radiated immense power, he couldn't help but sigh:

"Feels a bit like the ancient Primus. Perhaps you truly are the leader we've been waiting for!"

Optimus Prime, being a native of Cybertron and a descendant of Primus, had inherited both the status and strength of Primus, especially with the aid of the Leadership Module.

However, before this heartwarming moment could last too long, a massive black shape suddenly streaked across the sky, entering everyone's line of sight.

Optimus Prime, newly revived, was caught off guard and struck by the figure. He was knocked down, and fine sand and dust billowed up from the ground.

As the black figure stabilized, everyone realized with shock that it was none other than Megatronus, the Fallen Decepticon leader!

It turned out that after discovering that his Decepticon subordinates had all gone to Earth to join Universal Megacorp, Megatronus, frustrated and without anyone to command, decided to take matters into his own hands and personally retrieve the Leadership Module.

"This ridiculous game ends now. Hand over the damn Leadership Module!"

With a powerful swing of his spear, Megatronus pushed the nearby humans and Autobots back a few steps.

The Autobots, seeing Megatronus's killing intent, were all wary of his strength.

After all, Megatronus, in both rank and power, was the ancient ancestor of the Autobots, akin to the founder of their sect.

All the Autobots present could feel the overwhelming Spark energy within Megatronus. It was a force they could not contend with.

Even though Megatronus was still far from fully recovered, his strength at best was only a third of his peak form, yet he could still easily overpower many of the younger Transformers. Just standing there, he made Bumblebee and the other Autobots tremble with fear.

In fact, the reason Megatronus could find them so easily had much to do with Universal Megacorp' covert assistance.

Li Ang had planned for Megatronus to go to the Temple and take the Leadership Module. Universal Megacorp needed the technological data and knowledge contained within it, but requesting it directly from Optimus Prime might have caused unnecessary misunderstandings and complications.

Li Ang wasn't concerned about offending Optimus Prime or the Autobots. Rather, as one of the few righteous factions in the Transformers universe, the Autobots were a group that shouldn't always be taken advantage of.

The Autobots held high moral values, unlike the Decepticons. Anyone who treated them fairly and equally would become a trustworthy ally.

In fact, the Autobots were one of the few species Li Ang encountered across six universes that held such strong moral principles.

To avoid direct conflict of interest with the Autobots, Li Ang decided to let Megatronus intervene and create chaos, allowing him to reap the benefits in the end.

"You vile thieves! It's time to return what belongs to me!"

Megatronus looked at the fallen Optimus Prime, stretched out his left hand, and opened his palm. A mysterious force began to pull the Leadership Module out of Optimus Prime's chest.

As the Leadership Module was forcibly extracted, Optimus Prime instantly became weak and powerless.

Just moments ago, he had been full of energy and vitality, but now he was exhausted and feeble.

Although the Leadership Module had only healed Optimus Prime's fatal wounds and revived him from death, it hadn't completed the charging process. Therefore, at this moment, Optimus Prime was more like a patient recovering from serious injuries. Without the Leadership Module, he was no longer in his lively, restored state.

Seeing this, Sam was filled with frustration. He thought that if he had inserted the Leadership Module a little deeper, perhaps Megatron wouldn't have been able to pull it out so easily.

What frustrated Sam even more was how powerful Megatronus's strength was, leaving him feeling helpless.

After all the trouble he and Bumblebee had gone through to find the Leadership Module and revive Optimus Prime, it had now been stolen by Megatronus.

"Megatronus!"

At that moment, the elderly Jetfire shakily approached Megatronus, glaring at him and speaking:

"You won't take the Leadership Module. We won't let you succeed. We didn't let you twenty thousand years ago, and we won't now!"

Jetfire, barely able to hold himself together, his metal pieces scattered and reassembled, looked almost comical. But in that moment, he seemed to return to the days when he fought alongside the six original leaders. Too bad time had worn him down, and now he was nothing more than a trembling, frail old transformer.

He was no match for Megatronus now!

Hearing this, Megatronus sneered, casting a contemptuous glance at Jetfire. Looking at the former subordinate who had betrayed him, he was filled with anger, almost wanting to kick the old fool to death.

If Jetfire hadn't exposed his plans twenty thousand years ago, Megatronus would have successfully activated the Star Harvester and used the energy to fuel himself.

By now, he might have already established his own galactic empire, ruling over the universe!

While Megatronus could easily take Jetfire's life, he didn't plan to do so. Time was of the essence, and he needed to activate the Star Harvester quickly.

He knew that a mysterious force, Universal Megacorp, was watching him from the shadows, and no matter what they intended, Megatronus had to complete his plan first.

"You damn old fool! I'll deal with you later. For now, I'll leave you alive, but just wait and see how I destroy humanity!"

Megatronus no longer paid attention to Jetfire's curses. Once he regained his strength, he would head to a new star system to create his own empire.

After all, once his energy was replenished, he could create a wormhole and travel to another space.

With a powerful push, Megatronus leapt into the air, heading towards the distant pyramid.

Twenty thousand years ago, Megatron had built the Star Harvester in Egypt, but it had been sealed away. Now, the local humans had found it and built a massive pyramid around the device. Even now, the Star Harvester remained intact and could be activated.

"Damn Universal Megacorp, you'll regret this. If six Primes couldn't defeat me, neither will you!"

Holding the Leadership Module, Megatronus was brimming with confidence. He began fantasizing about what he would do once his strength was fully restored and he could wipe everyone out using entropy energy.

As a far-off ancestor of Cybertron, Megatronus could easily destroy Optimus Prime and the Autobots.

As for Universal Megacorp, they were just humans who had stolen Spark technology.

Once the Star Harvester was activated, the extinguished sun would cause all life in the solar system to perish.

By then, he could escape through a wormhole, and humanity and the remaining Cybertronians would freeze to death.

Boom!

In no time, Megatronus landed on the tip of a pyramid, casually destroying the top structure with a swipe.

The gleaming Star Harvester device emerged from the pyramid's peak — it was Megatronus's tool for his ambitions!

Without hesitation, Megatronus took out the key to activate the Star Harvester and prepared to insert it into the device.

But at that critical moment, a strange pulling force occurred on the Leadership Module.

Just as Megatronus was about to insert the key, it was suddenly yanked out of his hands and caught by a massive hand.

Looking around in surprise, Megatronus saw a strange "Transformer" floating in the air.

It was none other than the Gipsy Danger mech controlled by David Martinez.

David, originally the leader of the advance team from the multiverse, hadn't needed to come to this battlefield. However, feeling a bit of curiosity and excitement, he decided to personally face off with Megatronus and test his abilities.

"The Leadership Module is secured," David said calmly, watching Megatronus on the holographic screen as the furious Decepticon leader raged.

"This is Gipsy danger 001. The Leadership Module is in hand. I repeat…"

Seeing the strange Transformer before him, Megatronus immediately recognized it as one of Universal Megacorp' imitation mechs. It was the same one that had previously beaten down his Decepticons!

Universal Megacorp' mechs were similar in appearance, lacking transformation ability, and lacking wheels or wings. Their overall body structure was more suited for close combat, which gave them a significant edge over Megatronus, who had no energy left.

Now, two mechs, about the same size, stood off on the pyramid's peak, staring each other down.

"Megatronus, it's not too late to surrender. Otherwise, you won't even be able to save the Leadership Module."

David placed the Leadership Module in the mech's internal storage compartment, then spoke calmly, urging Megatronus to give up resistance.

Of course, he secretly hoped Megatronus wouldn't give up too easily — it would be more fun to spar first.

"Die!"

Megatronus roared, furious. He didn't care what this mech was — anyone who stood in his way would be destroyed.

In an instant, Megatronus thrust his spear at the Gipsy Danger's chest. He knew this mech was controlled by a fragile human, and if he could kill the pilot, the mech would be useless.
