The Frozen Hell

The Man examined me like I was some kind of a fascinating specimen before pushing me aside he walked over to Elysa and asked her

"Are you sure that he is the vessel?"

"Even I don't know Deeno, I am simply following the command of The Great King"

"No wonder you are useless. You can't even protect a brat from these low level ghouls and yet you dare call yourself 'The supreme wind' at this remark Elysa's expression grew dark and she looked down. I wanted to intervene but Luke quietly whispered to me

"If you intervene, I am pretty sure even I won't be able to fix you again"

I quietly backed down as I remembered what he did to thoda 20 ghouls in just a span of 1 minute. Luke was right. I didn't have to interfere. But. As I looked at Elysa again I could see, only a small drop, of tear rolling down from her eyes.

I could not tolerate his nonsense any longer. So what, he saved me and I appreciate that but that doesn't mean he could bash Elysa like that. She was also actively trying to protect me. I made up my mind to confront this man.

"Don't you dare take a step forward" surprisingly Elysa said in a very cold voice. She looked right into Deeno's eyes and said in a determined voice

"Deeno, I know you are angry at my incompetence but that also doesn't excuse you for arriving late when you were supposed to be the one to find the vessel first"

Deeno looked at her in shocked yet annoyed expression and just brushed past her and walked towards me and Luke. Luke covered my front as if to protect me. I couldn't believe Luke, that idiot airhead, has now become like this. Just what the hell happened here. Deeno approached Luke and tries to throw him off. But Luke stands his ground.

"Deeno it's over now. I think you should go home. Micheal won't like it you know." Luke said in a rather teasing voice.

Hearing the name Micheal, Deeno's eyes started to grow red and he started becoming angry.

Oh what the hell he just said. Luke, this idiot. Deeno will kill us know. But to my surprise, Deeno just backed down with a sudden smile on his face and said-

"You really are a weird one, Luke. Even though your organs are being crushed due to my powers, you are still able to keep standing." He laughed like an evil maniac.

Deeno stepped back a few feets from me and started speaking.

"I guess our first meeting is a bit too rough, Oh the 'the vessel of the damned darkness' My name is 'Victoria Alexanderia Deenis' or as the world knows me as Deeno. I am 'The Suprem Knight' of the great king's army and also possesser of the abilitiy of 'The prideful earth'. I have been assigned to protect you alongside the supreme wind by the Great King. Though I might prefer not to waste my time on you but I guess I have to."

As he concluded the earth began roaring and loud tremors were heared, mountains started collapsing beyond the horizon and ground split apart. Deeno lightly tapped the ground below him and everything went silent in an instant as if nothing ever happened

Man that was a long ass intro. Why the hell everyone has to go on with their intro like this. Can't it be just quick? And why the fuck every time they introduce something has to freaking get destroyed. Though I wanted to slander that guy badly I kept quiet because I knew he would wrap me like toilet roll.

"These things are sooo crazy....." I muttered as I soon as I fainted.

"Oh my. He has quite a knack for fainting randomly." Elysa chuckled. As she waved her hand and winds drew forth and lifted Zai's body in the air.

"Will you be coming?" Elysa asked Luke. Luke with a complex expression said that he will go with them.

"Deeno, for now, do the task I gave you earlier "

"I am on it." Deeno said before preparing to jump. "Oh and yes. Luke. Never ever take that bastard's name in front of me again" Deeno said in a cold voice as his eyes showed killing intent before leaping up into the sky and vanishing.

Luke fell to the ground on his butt and looked at now fainted Zai. In his eyes were the emotions and memories of the past. But now he knew it was not possible to bring back the past so he wiped his sentimental face and ran upto Elysa, from where they both went to home.

I woke up in that comfy bed again. Man it is my favourite place. But now, I had another problem to figure out. Just where the hell I was and what the hell is happening to me. So I organise my thoughts.

First, some supernatural bastard attacked my town Back on earth where I died and somehow transported to this place.

Second, this place is called Frozen Hell. What a lame name. Can't someone think something better.

Third, I am some kind of a vessel and I am being protected by Elyse and Deeno by the orders from this Great King guy.

And lastly, it's not only me but Luke has also been transported to this place. Well atleast I am not alone. But just what are they protecting me from? And why?

As I was thinking of all the possibilities, the door of my room flung open and I see the face of the only person I know in this damned world. His face then was of a mischievous dumb idiot but now his face reflects his growth and the trials of hardships he had to face here. His blond hair now had trace of white maybe due to stress and his body grown to be of a athletic man.

"Yo. Bro. How are you man?" He greets me in his usual way. Back then I would have smacked him on his head for talking to someone older than him like this. But now. Tears come rolling because I missed it that much.

I try to get up from the bed, my body being sore. I get up. Limping towards Luke I raise my fist towards him. Smiling we both bump our fist and I suddenly fall due to weakness in my body. Luke picked me up and put me on the bed.

"I know you are here Elyse. So come out and talk to him."

Starlted, Elysa came inside the room and had an embarrassing yet saddend expression on her face.

"I am sorry for not being able to protect you from the ghouls, Zai." She was upset and made a dissatisfied expression "I was useless when the ghouls took you Zai. I don't know why but I ended up feeling overwhelmed at that time... I don't think I might be able to be by your side any longer Zai. I am sorry for being so usele-"

"Don't apologise Elysa, I know you did your best." I get up from the bed, limping towards her I said "it's okay if you can't do what you are supposed to do sometimes" I reach her and slowly pat her head "I am glad that you were the first person I met Elysa." I say while smiling. Her expression grew flustered and she pushed my hand away.

"But, for now that you both are here." I sit on the bed again "tell me about this place and my connection with it and also, why the hell I am being protected by you guys?" then the truth was revealed.

"In the beginning, there were three worlds existing at the same time in different realities. The worlds were all the same until a simultaneous event called 'the point' occurred.

There was a great war between The Gods, The Demons and all of the remaining races including humans. The remainder races that joined the faction of Gods later became known as 'Kingdom of Light and the races that joined the demon faction were known as collectively called 'Kingdom of darkness '. Human were a neutral race. Some decided to join the factions.

Those in God faction were bestowed godhood and were called 'Paladins'. While those in demonic factions were given the power of unholy runes, they were called 'Savages'. Some humans remained neutral and thus with the help of sheer human willpower ascended to another realm, they were called 'Slayers'. The Slayers were unique as they, at the root were still human, but capable enough to kill the Gods and Demon likewise.

So the war began, in one world Gods reign supreme while in the other the Demons were victorious, in the third world both Gods and demons perished thus the humans remained."

"Okay so what's my connection with all of this and what is the origin of this place you call 'the Frozen Hell'. " What a boring story. Sounds like another webtoon.

"Wait a second I am getting into that part too." Elyse scoffed at me.

"So the worlds were being run by those who were victorious in their respective war. But there was a sudden, simultaneous event when everything, everyone and everybody was gone. All of the Gods, demons and humans vanished. Some kind of mass extinction event took place and all of the three major races vanished. The minority races such as Elves, orcs, goblin or trolls were also wiped out except small number of groups but they also vanished from those world. All of the worlds were in a frozen state. The time was stopped for them.

But when the time started again the course of history was changed. Now it followed the course of events that humans have theorized. The big bang, evolution and everything else. All events occurring at the same time simultaneously.

The remaining races were transported into a vast wasteland of endless Frozen time. Thus they somehow managed to survive. Some tried borrowing the power of Gods or Demons. They tried very hard but were unsuccessful. Until one day, a stranger appeared and called himself 'The Author'
