The Frozen Hell

"Oh. Are you awake?"

I could hear a faint voice asking me this question. I rose up and looked around me. I could feel the comfort of a warm bed and an aroma of what i could describe as chocolate. My vision was still blurry, so i rub my eyes and look around. I could see a woman with yellow hair sitting beside me on a chair. She was beautiful. Her long yellow hair waving slowly while her emerald eyes gleaming, her lips were moist and had a bit of brown on it due to the choclate milk she was drinking. Despite her beauty her most notable feature was her long ears. Uniquely pointed and long ears. Wait. Uniquely pointed and long ears?

"Elf !!?"

I gasped as i looked at her. It was definately an elf.

"Correct." She responded in a playful manner while waving her long slender finger. "Wow, you are pretty smart and calm for someone who just died a gruesome death like yours" she said in a curious voice.

"Well I know I am smart" I said in a cheeky manner while praising myself internally. Suddenly it hit me.

"me? Died? What the hell are you talking abo-"

memories rushed inside my brain as I remember Luke's half chewed body, mountain of corpses, mutilated body of both children and adults and the face of the person that meant most to me, killing me. Breathing became hard as i gasped out for air. I started blacking out again.

"Oh no. You are sleeping again. Well goodnight. The last ves....."

I could not hear the rest as I fainted.

"Oh my. He really fainted again. I guess the shock of losing a friend is a bit too much." The elf rose from her seat as she stood right next to the window looking at the broad horizon sunlight reflecting her emerald eyes. "I am sorry to make you suffer like this... But it is something I cannot interfere in." As she walked towards the bed again and touched Zai's face with her long slender finger.

"You have to overcome this trial" as she lays her head on his chest, she says, in a sad voice "you are my only hope."

Its been three days since i got transported to this weird place and i am a bit confused but this elf has been here by my side. She's a bit caring. I guess a bit too much caring.

"You can't eat 'The meat of pirahna from the damned lake of torture' like that" she scolded me because I was eating this damned fish upside down.

"You have to first start with the eyeball, then go slowly take out uts brain and then and only then can you start with meat of the fi-"

"By the way, what's your name and who are you?" I interuppted her and put foreward my question. "What's this place and why am I brought here?"

With a mysterious look on her face she said "I can't really tell you your purpose here right now but.." she rose from her seat and started walking to my front. Wind blew as if greeting her, her hair waved. The sunlight reflected on her yellow hair and her warm light complexion, looking like a glow lamp in the dark she majestically bowed and introduced

"I am Elyse of Precognition, The Last Heir to the throne of The Great Elves of the World of Light and in this Frozen Hell, I am one of the Great King's Advisor and also the possessor of the power 'The Wind Of Gluttony'. I have got orders from The Great King to be by your side, Zai."

As she completes her introduction strong winds blew around the room bringing in leaves and petals from outside and in an blink of an eye the door behind her vanishes. Wait. It was not only the door. I gasped as I realised half of the building had completely been torn apart.

"Ummm.... I think you should look behind." I mumble as she cautiously looks back and realise what she had done.

She withdraws her power and freaks out at the scene.

"Oh no! I had just bought this new house." She cries along with a tear in her eye. Yeah, she's a moron. But her power was incredible. I don't think I should ever make her angry.

Suddenly there was an intense change in pressure. It was so intense I felt like vomiting.

"Zai! Hlod my han-"

Elyse was saying something but before i could even react, I felt a cold feeling around my hand. I looked at them and saw my own red blood coming out of my stomach. I feel around and i realise blood was not coming out of my guts, because my body was already cut in half and i didn't even feel a thing. I close my eyes due to this cold feeling but suddenly I hear a familiar voice.

"Zai! Zai! Wake the hell up man. We gotta run. Zai!"

I use my remaining will power to open one of my eye only to see a yellow-green scraf hanging right above my head and a silhouette of young man. Yeah. I knew this man. I knew him very well. He was the reason of my courage.

"Luke" i try to lift my hand but couldn't do it.

"Zai! We have to run! Now." He shouted.

I smacked this brat to silence him. "How the fuck do you think I can run. I don't even have my freaking legs here you dumbass". Yeah, I always get an extra rush of energy when dealing with this idiot.

"What the hell are you talking about Zai? I have already healed your legs."

"What?"

I look at my legs to see that they are back in one piece and they are feeling even better than ever before. I knly realised it now but my body suddenly has this revitalized feeling as if I have been given a new life. I rise up and looked at Luke. He was still the same as before. Idiot face but kind smile. I shed a tear relieving memories of past. Suddenly Luke grabbed my collar and shouted

"Catch him!"

And threw me at a direction of yellow light where I could see another familiar face.

"Elyse!" I shouted as she waved her in air and suddenly my body became light as feather and i felt like I could fly. Elyse slowly streched her hand and pulled it towards herself and I could feel my body moving towards her. Right before reaching her, she slowly waved down her hand and I was back on ground. She breathed as she took in some air and in a panicked said

"Run you dumbass!"

Now that was a shocker. What the hell happened to her. why she's speaking like that?

Before getting answers to my question I felt a cold sensation behind my neck. Instinctively I ducked and grabbed a hand trying to reach my throat. It was not a hand. But it had an arm but no hand instead there was blade attached. I panicked and retreated backwards. It was a mysterious figure covered in black smoke emitting from it's body.

"Ghoul"

A voice behind me said in a fascinating manner. A man no taller than me walked towards it and kept talking

"It's been 4 years since I last saw one" the Man walks right in front of it and says "not that I leave them alive to be seen again." As he completed his sentence the ghoul let out a shattering screech and in an instant the man was surrounded by the atleast 20 more of those ghouls.

I try to step forward but I was stopped by Luke who now looked a bit mature and in a serious voice told me

"You don't need to go Zai. That man won't flinch even if the army of Kingdom of Light attacks him. Fighting these 20 ghouls is like breathing to this man."

Luke finished. Not understanding just what he said I looked at that Man's direction and see a dome of black smoke engulfing the vicinity but then I hear a loud tremor shaking off the smoke and suddenly I could see dome getting smaller. Another tremor from the inside of the dome and it was getting smaller again. Another tremor, then another one. The land was shaking and before I realised the black dome of smoke had completely disappeared and the only thing remaining was the mysterious Man standing there.

He looked back towards me and started walking. I don't know why but I couldn't even breathe properly in his presence. As he continued walking with every step, breathing became hard. My body felt heavy. I was fell on my knees and he was right in front of me. He grabbed my chin and looked at my face and asked me

"Are you 'The Vessel Of The Damned Darkeness' ?
