Chapter 26: The Spring of the Chubby Girl 5

"Cole, where are we going for tutoring after school?" Elora, seizing the opportunity while the teacher wasn't looking, slyly reached under the desk to grab Cole's hand. Hehe, Cole's fingers are so beautiful—pale and well-defined, just touching them feels almost... intoxicating.

"To my house." Cole swatted her hand away with a serious expression.

To his house?! Is it what I think it is? Elora, in her heart, had already imagined Cole as her boyfriend, but it seemed like their relationship wasn't quite at that level yet. The thought made her nervous, but... since he was so eager, maybe she didn't mind too much…

Cole, watching her shift from shock to confusion to bashfulness, wondered what on earth she was imagining this time.

He reached over and lightly tapped her on the head. "What are you thinking about? It's just tutoring."

"I wasn't thinking about anything! Don't accuse me!" Elora quickly turned her attention to the lesson, trying to hide her embarrassment.

Cole noticed the flush on her ears and chuckled softly. "Hmm, looks like I'm the one overthinking."

Elora shot him a glare, grateful he had the sense to be quiet.

...

Cole's house was located not far from the city center, in the Silver Lake Villas.

As Elora stepped into his room, she was immediately struck by the sight of a king-sized wooden bed, the decor in black, white, and grey creating a minimalist yet stylish atmosphere. A partition wall separated the bed from the desk and computer on the other side.

"Elora, come here." Cole stared in exasperation at Elora, who was drooling over the bed. This girl always seemed to want to sleep whenever she saw math. Was she planning on taking another nap?

"I'll be right there!" Elora reluctantly tore her gaze from the bed. Honestly, studying English was nowhere near as enjoyable as sleeping, oh well...

"Don't dawdle, and don't even think about anything else." Cole issued his final warning.

"Hehe, see? I'm here." Elora ran over to his side, smiling sweetly. "How about a little deal? We only study for 30 minutes."

Cole glanced at her with a cool, detached look before turning to his textbook.

Realizing there would be no bargaining, Elora sighed and laughed awkwardly. "How could someone like me—such a good student—be so lazy? I was just talking in my sleep earlier." She quickly sat down and resigned herself to doing the exercises.

Cole looked at her, knowing full well how hard he was pushing her, but sighed inwardly. He was doing this for her own good—her subject imbalance was far too severe, and at this rate, she wouldn't make it into that university.

"Cole, what's the answer to this one?" Elora pointed to a multiple-choice question.

Cole leaned over to glance at it and, without saying a word, lightly flicked her forehead!

"Ouch! What are you doing? That hurts!" Elora rubbed her forehead and shot him an accusing look.

"If I don't do it, you won't remember. I've explained this question a million times already," Cole replied, still not letting her off the hook. But his hand, despite his words, gently rubbed the red spot on her forehead.

The mark stood out against Elora's pale skin, and Cole realized he hadn't even pressed hard—how did it turn so red?

"It's nothing. It looks worse than it is. It'll go away soon," Elora said, feeling a bit guilty as she saw the concerned expression on Cole's face. She was the type whose skin would turn red at the slightest touch, but it faded quickly and wasn't painful at all.

"Now, I'll explain it again. If you forget it next time, I'm not helping you anymore!" Cole said, seeing the mark fading and feeling reassured. "This question should be..."

Elora, heart racing as Cole leaned in so close, couldn't help but admire the subtle details of his features. His skin, though tan, was smooth and refined, even the tiny hairs on his arms were clearly visible.

As Cole finished explaining, he turned to see Elora, her mouth slightly open, staring at him intently. Her eyes held a deep admiration, and under the soft light, her already delicate face appeared mysterious and dreamlike. Cole, unable to resist, swallowed hard, a wave of heat rushing through him. He wanted to kiss her.

Like a magnet drawn to her, he slowly leaned in closer, his heart pounding wildly, palms sweating with nervousness.
