The Entity of Contradictions

Chapter 7: Never Ventured

With a pained look, she finished "I managed to fight them off, I was so angry that honestly, I did not care if I died there and then. I used everything I had, even burning away my soul for the slightest chance to torment them for their assault on you. I managed to win somehow, though I called it a win it was more towards a trade as I was also on the verge of death. I lost my lower body, I lost my left arm and there were holes where my heart, liver and brain were."

Honestly thinking back on my final moments, slowly dying with severe wounds, my soul fading and countless curses eating away at my body I was defiant. Hiding the kinds of wounds she suffered she explained that in those moments she cursed Odin and drifted off into darkness.

In her final moments, the well-known general of fog known for her pride, arrogance and cruelty 'died'. A 'fitting end' to her story, having died just knowing simple joys and discovering love. She felt lost, resentful and full of regret she couldn't protect the one she loved and was not able to kill the bastards who caused everything. Finally, her resentment faded and her consciousness melded into the void.

Looking at Marco she smiled and stated "You are my reason to live, if not for you I would be in those bastards' clutches by this point. And if you are curious, I know I said I died but some special consequences led me to be here before you today." Looking at Ema she tried to get her support, but to her disappointment, she was too busy gazing at Marco. If she didn't know better, she could mistake her for a tourist in an art museum staring at her favourite pieces.

Diya coughed loudly trying to get Ema's attention, but showing no reaction Ema stared passionately at Marco not even registering anything happening around her. She then stood up took Marco by the arm and started to drag him away. Before Diya can shout her protests, Ema declares "Marco my love, now that you regain some of your power you need some control over it right?"

Not even waiting for an answer she continued while dragging Marco "No need to thank me you know, I will make sure you are 100% prepared, physically spiritually and hehehehehehe. Ah, I can't wait much more you know, I know that Diya is already dying for it." She laughed seductively. Diya blushed till her ears were behind the two but didn't say anything. She knew that Ema was right but she would not admit it. Despite being a goddess that lived for aeons, she had little to no experience with men. Her first love was Marco and she would only love Marco because that was her pride as a queen.

Soon they arrived in the open field outside the mansion. Ema looked around and said, "Ok we are far enough, Diya does your thing and I will follow through." She turned her gaze towards Marco "Dear, we are going to slowly use our power, I want you to observe how it forms carefully, manifests and behaves. It will be important when we fight." Giving him a smile that was not safe for children towards the end.
