Over the past few days, Sui's restaurant had become the undisputed star of the school festival, even surpassing Eishi's establishment. The restaurant caused quite a stir, not just among students but also in the high-end culinary world.
Every day, the hot topic among food enthusiasts was: What new dishes had Sui created today? What rare ingredients were being used?
Thanks to this buzz, Sui successfully completed his school festival tasks.
As he walked into the kitchen, he muttered to himself, "I wonder what kind of ingredients I'll get this time."
He was eager to see what surprises lay in store.
"The host has opened the A-level ingredient gift package and received: A-level ingredients – three bunches of Dia Grapes, and B-level ingredients – one pound of Sweet Coral."
As the system's voice echoed, three bunches of grapes and a colorful coral appeared on the table in front of Sui.
He first focused on the Dia Grapes.
These grapes were exquisite, with a crystal-like texture that made them sparkle under the light. Each grape was unusually large, about the size of an egg, and appeared almost too beautiful to eat.
Sui picked one up and took a bite. An intense sweetness burst onto his tongue, unlike anything he had tasted before.
Despite its sweetness, it wasn't cloying at all. The flavor was fresh, delicate, and pure, like the crispness of mountain spring water, with a hint of grape-like tartness that made it irresistibly delicious.
"This is incredible!" Sui exclaimed, even his refined palate finding no fault in it.
Most grapes that are overly sweet tend to be overwhelming, but these were different. The sweetness was light and refreshing, like a gentle breeze, leaving a pleasant aftertaste.
He then opened the ingredient description.
Dia Grapes
Food Grade: A
Description: These large grapes sparkle like diamonds, and their grape-like appearance is equally radiant. They possess unparalleled sweetness and are incredibly rare, making them highly valuable. They are a favorite delicacy among noble families.
Origin: Gourmet World
The price? One bunch cost one million yen—an exorbitant amount, but not surprising for such rare ingredients.
Next, Sui examined the Sweet Coral.
The Sweet Coral looked like ordinary coral at first glance, but its vibrant hues—reds, purples, greens, and pinks—made it look like a pile of colorful candies.
He plucked one of the candies and popped it into his mouth. It was delightfully sweet, not quite as exceptional as the Dia Grapes, but far superior to regular candy.
Each piece had its own distinct flavor, some sweet, others with a touch of sourness.
He read the description.
Sweet Coral
Food Grade: B
Description: Sweet Corals grow in shallow, pristine waters. Known for their crisp texture and mild sweetness, they are both a visual and culinary treat, often used as decor or enjoyed as a favorite snack among ladies.
Origin: Gourmet World
"These would make great snacks," Sui thought, tossing a few more candies into his mouth. They crunched pleasantly, sweet and refreshing. "Erina and Tohru will love them."
The Sweet Coral wasn't as expensive as the Dia Grapes, priced at 100,000 yen per pound. Still costly compared to regular candy, but it would last a while.
Just then, Erina returned.
Sui washed the Dia Grapes, placed them on a plate along with the Sweet Coral, and brought them out.
"Huh? These grapes are gorgeous!" Erina immediately noticed the Dia Grapes, her eyes wide with admiration.
"Can I try one?" she asked.
"Of course," Sui replied with a smile. He found her formality amusing. "You don't need to ask. What kind of relationship do we have?"
Erina blushed slightly but felt warmth in her heart. She picked a grape, gently bit into it, and immediately her eyes lit up.
"This flavor... so refined and refreshing!" she exclaimed.
It was her first time tasting a fruit this exquisite. The sweetness was perfect—neither too overpowering nor too subtle, with just the right balance of tartness to keep it fresh and lively.
After savoring the egg-sized grape, Erina licked her fingers delicately, still craving more. Without hesitation, she reached for a second grape.
Her way of eating was charming. Her delicate lips parted slightly, and with a soft bite, purple juice trickled down her snow-white cheeks. She quickly caught the droplet with her tongue, a sight that made her look even more endearing.
As she was halfway through eating, Erina noticed Sui watching her intently. A faint blush spread across her face. She glanced at him and whispered, "Why are you staring at me?"
"Nothing, I just think you look cute when you eat," Sui said with a chuckle.
Embarrassed, but secretly pleased, Erina shyly offered him the grape she had just bitten into, her small teeth marks still visible. "Want to try?"
Sui took a bite and teased, "Hmm, it does taste sweeter."
Erina shot him a playful glare, her face turning crimson once again.
The two of them continued feeding each other, and before they knew it, they had finished the entire bunch of Dia Grapes.
It was the first time Erina had shared such an intimate moment with someone, and her heart was racing. Her cheeks flushed red as she felt both shy and happy.
After eating, Erina couldn't resist licking the purple juice from her fingers, feeling utterly satisfied. It was the most delicious fruit she had ever tasted.
Because she had eaten so many grapes, her tongue had turned a light purple hue.
Seeing her like this, Sui suddenly called out, "Erina."
"Hm?" she replied, turning her head. Her angelic face was framed by golden hair, and a drop of purple juice still lingered on her lips. She looked irresistibly cute.
Without warning, Sui leaned in and kissed her.
"Mmm…" Erina's eyes widened in surprise, and she lightly tapped Sui's shoulder with her delicate fists. But her resistance was soft, her movements weak.
After a moment, Sui pulled back, smacking his lips with a mischievous grin. "Well, I didn't expect the God's Tongue to taste like grapes."
