The Billionaire’s Secret Bride

Chapter 34: Chapter 34: His Dislike for Her

Celia ran away, covering her flushed face with both hands. It was burning hot.

Every time Nathaniel Fu teased her, her heart would race, her body would go weak, and she would lose control of herself. And she knew—this was wrong.

Nathaniel didn't belong to her.

She quickly applied a fake scar to her face, changed her clothes, and then met up with Julian Fu.

Julian drove up in a flashy red Ferrari, holding a huge bouquet of red roses. "Harley Quinn, these are for you," he said playfully.

"Mr. Fu, I don't want them," Celia replied flatly.

Julian shoved the bouquet into her arms anyway and casually draped his arm over her shoulder. "Come on, Harley, it's our first date! Let's go catch a movie."

Celia froze. His touch made her uncomfortable.

But when Nathaniel touched her… she melted like water.

For a brief moment, she seriously considered flipping Julian over her shoulder.

Then came a sharp honk.

A sleek black Bentley pulled up beside them. The tinted window slowly lowered, revealing Nathaniel Fu's cold, chiseled face.

It was him.

Panic surged in Celia's chest. Would he recognize her?

"Uncle!" Julian greeted enthusiastically. "What a coincidence."

Nathaniel rested one hand on the steering wheel, the luxury watch on his wrist gleaming under the light. His deep, narrow eyes swept over them with cool authority, his voice low and commanding.

"Is it the weekend already? Shouldn't students be in school instead of sneaking off on dates?"

Julian winced, caught red-handed on his first date. "..."

Then Nathaniel's gaze landed on Celia's face. Cold. Indifferent. Disdainful.

He thinks I'm seducing Julian, Celia thought bitterly.

The warmth she'd felt just moments ago disappeared completely.

Of course he would misunderstand. She was nothing more than a stand-in for Sylvia. She had no right to feel anything for him.

He hated her.

"Go back to school," Nathaniel said flatly, and the Bentley sped off.

Julian was visibly deflated. "Well, that was a disaster. Joker girl, our first date is ruined."

Celia, however, felt strangely relieved. At least Nathaniel had rescued her—whether he meant to or not.

At the Su Residence

Sylvia stood pale-faced in the living room as Charles Su shouted at her.

"Sylvia! Look at the mess you've made! You couldn't even secure your place in the Fu family, and now your nose is crooked! Is this how you repay all the effort I put into you?"

Sylvia trembled, too afraid to speak.

Even Lila stayed silent, not daring to upset Charles further.

Just then, the front door opened and in came Charles's elder brother Justin Su, along with his wife and daughter, Vanessa.

The Su family had three branches, and for years, Charles and Justin had been engaged in both overt and subtle power struggles.

"Charles," Justin said with faux concern, "I heard CC Perfume returned your bid. It's been all over the industry. People are talking."

Charles's face darkened with humiliation.

The failed bid with CC Perfume had already made him the laughingstock of the business world—and Justin had hit a sore spot.

Justin's wife chimed in with a smug smile. "Charles, Lila, your daughter's getting older. Is she seeing anyone? Our Vanessa is a top model now—young heirs from the Li and Wang families are lining up for her."

Vanessa was indeed striking—long legs, refined features, and enough fame to make her a social media darling. Suitors from powerful families were constantly vying for her attention.

Charles felt his blood boil. The Li and Wang families? Nobodies compared to the Fu family.

His daughter had married into the Fu household—but the Fu family hadn't acknowledged it publicly, leaving Sylvia vulnerable to ridicule.

Vanessa looked Sylvia over with thinly veiled contempt. The rest of society didn't know Sylvia had undergone extensive plastic surgery, but the Su family did.

"Sylvia," Vanessa said with a sugary tone, "I could set you up with someone, but, um... your nose looks a little off. You should probably fix it first. High society isn't really into… 'manufactured' beauty."

Charles, Lila, and Sylvia clenched their teeth in fury—but they couldn't say a word in defense.

Just then, a maid rushed in.

"Master, Madam—someone just delivered a gift for the Second Miss."

"A gift?"

The maid returned carrying an exquisitely wrapped package.

Sylvia opened it—and the moment she did, the entire living room gasped.
