The Billionaire's Hired Wife

Chapter 11: 11- Divorce me now

Orion looked stomped, "How does one get pregnant?" He didn't realize he had asked out loud.

Ryland's eyes widened as he face palmed, "Kitten, are you sure this is his? I'm sure we can find another eligible suitor for you, Wolfe clearly has no brain."

The last sentence struck Orion like a lightning, "You can come here and talk shit, but the moment you begin to insult me, I'm gonna have to stop you there." His voice was low.

Ryland stood up and walked towards him, ignoring his daughter's soft "Dad."

"You are a man with no integrity, you defiled my daughter and now you're denying your child? How did you build this all by yourself?" He sneered, flailing his arms around Orion's building. "Oh, wait. It's Daddy's, you don't know a thing about 'building'" Ryland goaded Orion and he snapped entirely.

"Look here, Mr. Ryland." Orion jabbed a finger in his face, "I don't care what you think about me, but I will suggest you refrain from bringing my family into this, I don't care what you daughter thinks, but that abomination she's carrying, isn't mine. Shut your mouth, or I'll have you forcibly removed from my building this instant." He didn't shout nor was his voice raised an octave, he maintained his tone, but at a string note, that even Ryland was taken back by Orion's sudden growth of backbone.

He chuckled darkly, "I'd like to see you try. You will take responsibility of this baby and you will marry my daughter. My word is final." Ryland drew awfully near Orion, trying to get him to listen, but a soft tug at his shirt pulled him back.

"Dad, it's okay, I'm sure he's just shocked, he will see reason in no time." Rihanna said in a low voice, staring straight into her father's eyes.

"Are you sure Kitten?" Ryland asked.

She nodded, "Yes, Dad. Now, let's leave." It was almost as if she was the rein steering her father. Orion could see the resolve in the man's shoulder as he followed his daughter out of his office.

Before he closed the door behind him, "See reason or be beaten. Really, it's you choice, Wolfe." An underlying tone of threat seeped through and Ryland didn't care as long as Orion got the message which he was sure did.

Rihanna walked to the car with such force, his father smirked behind her, "You're in so much trouble, Wolfe." He muttered.

"Dad, I need a favor." She said suddenly after closing the car door.

"Whatever it is Kitten." He took her hands in his, "Take us home." He addressed the driver, meeting his eyes in the rearview mirror.

Nodding, the car roared to life as the driver out it in ignition, "I want every information on Orion Wolfe." Rihanna said with such darkness in her tone.

Ryland knew the kind of woman his daughter was, so he knew exactly what Orion has gotten himself into, "Why don't you let me handle this, My sweet?" He replied softly, rubbing his thumb against the back of her palm.

Snatching her hand without looking at her father, "No Dad, I will handle this on my own." With her lips pressed in a thin line, she concluded.

With a sigh, Ryland silently agreed, sending the message to the necessary person to get the job done. By the time the father daughter duo got to their mansion, a file was awaiting Rihanna.

"Here you go ma'am, everything in Orion Wolfe." he said handling it to her with fear in his eyes.

Everyone knew Rihanna, despite her being soft spoken, they referred to her as the witch. As the only heir to her father's syndicate, she was feared across their organization, but Orion didn't know that because he had no business with the dark world.

"I'll be in my room, Dad."

Downing his alcohol, "Alright Kitten." Ryland replied, sending a quick glance at his workers to stay clear of Rihanna, she was already in a mood.

**

She sat on her bed and accessed the whole file, the moment she found what she was looking for, she got up from her bed, changed her clothes and walked down the stairs.

"Dad!" Rihanna called out, "I'm going out for a while."

Ryland stopped his meeting immediately, "I'll have someone escort you."

She shook her head, "No, Dad. I have to do this alone, I'll be safe, don't worry." She promised as she walked out of the house.

She drove down the streets with just a thought in mind, "What would happen if all doesn't go according to plan?"

"You have arrived," the car's navigation system pulled her out of her reverie. She looked at the house before her and thought, "Suits him."

Carefully stepping out of the car, Rihanna walked elegantly towards the front door, she knocked and the door swung open after few seconds. "Hello." A kind face showed.

"I'm here for Calista." Rihanna said with a smile.

The house keeper nodded, "Miss Calista! There's someone at the door for you!" She called as Calista was in the kitchen.

Walking to the front door with a frown, Calista was surprised at the beautiful face she was met with, "Hello, how can I help you? Would you like to come in?" She sounded as professional as she could despite the nerves, thinking this could be part of Orion's scheme on her.

"You cannot help me, but I will help you. I want you to divorce Orion and forget everything about him, else your life might be on the line." Cryptic, Calista thought but the fear got worse as Rihanna turned to leave without as much as goodbye.

With widened eyes, Calista became restless and paced the house until Orion got back from work. The moment he stepped through the door, Calista was at his side with a look he couldn't decipher.

"What is it?" He asked, eyeing her.

"Sir, I come to you respectfully," she started with a soft voice and a pleading look, "I want a divorce, please."
