Chapter 10: 10- Pregnant with his child
Orion opened his mouth and closed it, he was at loss for words, despite the face on the man's he looked scary and Orion could have sworn he saw fumes coming out of his nose and ears.
"I'm going to ask one more time, Wolfe." The huge man sneered, looking down at Orion. "What are you doing in my daughter's room this early? Sneaking off, are we?"
Orion licked his lips, "Um, I just, we…" he stammered, even he was surprised at that. As a confident man, he seemed to have lost his cool.
All the commotion happening at the door woke Rihanna up. Her eyes widened seeing her father at the door and the man she spent the night with. "Dad!" She exclaimed, pulling the duvet to cover her chest properly, "What are you doing here?"
Her father's face softened a bit, "Kitten, you ran from home, I tracked you here."
She rolled her eyes and Orion saw the father caught banter as an opportunity to run away, he took it, fled and never looked back. Not once.
Once he was safely in his car, he took a deep breath, "Oh God! That was close." He drove straight home.

Retelling his story to his best friend, James cackled, almost rolling of the chair he was sitting on, "Dude! Only you can make something like that happen? How could you even? You're married, did you forget? Served you right." He mocked and reprimanded at the same time.
Orion looked at him like he's grown two heads, "I can have you fired for this," he pointed out, making James let out another wave of laughter.
"You can't get rid of me that easily Mr. Wolfe." James joked, standing up, "I will leave and let you think on your bad character, young man. I am utterly disappointed in you." He used his 'dad voice', moving quickly to close Orion's office door before the pen the latter threw got to him.
Orion was almost regretful of telling that encounter to James as he didn't let him leave it down for two weeks straight, each time coming up with an even brutal way if torturing Orion.

As much as he wanted to get it over with, Orion dreaded taking Calista to meet his parents, they reaction was something he has dreamt about and it wasn't pleasant, hence the need to prolong the matter.
"When did you say we should visit your parent?" Calista had asked that morning as their oath crossed in the living room.
"What is it to you." He snapped at her, "We will go whenever I say we will go." He left without as much as goodbye and Calista wasn't bothered. Orion's attitude was known to her at this point.
"He's crazy, I swear." She muttered as she left for school as well.
Orion's intercom rang, snapping him out of his reverie, "Mr. Wolfe, there's a Mr. Ryland here to see you."
He frowned? "Ryland?" He asked, wanting to be sure he heard right.
"Yes sir." The receptionist replied.
His frown deepen, he had always wanted to do business with the Ryland family, but the CEO always called him soft for reasons known to Mr. Ryland alone. So, to have the man in his company, Orion was amazed, he didn't want to waste anymore time.
"Let him in immediately." He ordered, standing up to straighten his suit.
Swinging the door open, he came face to face with someone he never thought he would see again. "So, we meet again Wolfe." The deep, dangerous voice sounded, causing a shiver down Orion's spine, but he swallowed, composing himself.
"I must stand my ground, I can't be seen as too soft." He told himself.
"Mr. Ryland!" Orion found his voice making sure some enthusiasm was heard. "What a pleasant surprise, please come in." He stood aside, inviting the man into his office.
Mr. Ryland looked around Orion's office with a permanent grimace on his face, "Hmm," he turned to sit. "Not bad." He commented on the interior design.
"So…" Orion started, but was cut off.
"Personally, I think you're too soft." There it was, Orion thought as he resisted the urge to roll his eyes.
"Why do you always call me soft? I will have you know I am a competent man." The words slipped right out of his mouth before he could control them, but he was glad he spoke them.
Not appreciating being interrupted, Mr Ryland sent a boring look Orion's way, not dignifying his question with an answer, he continued, "But, my kitten has chosen you and I must respect that."
Orion looked confused, "Kitten?" He muttered, trying to remember where he has had that word before. "Rihanna." It clicked
Ryland let out a dark chuckle, "Yes, my daughter. Whom you defiled at the hotel, remember?" Orion nodded, "You're to marry her."
Orion's mouth dropped open, "Marry her? Is this some sick joke?" He got serious all of a sudden, but Ryland kept him grounded with just a look.
Shrugging, he replied, "It's tradition that you marry her, so I gave come to discuss the terms with you." Ryland said like it was the most normal thing in the world.
Orion scoffed, looking at the man like a delusion patient, "First of all, I don't know what you thought coming here. Second of all, I am not marrying your daughter because I am already married. And third of all, what we did was consensual." He said, listing it off with his fingers.
"So you lied." Came a gentle voice from the doorway to his office.
Orion's head snapped do fast towards the sound of the voice, he almost got a whiplash, "What are you doing here?" He asked, pointing at Rihanna.
She shrugged, "I believe my father already explained." She leaned against the doorway, looking around the space impressed.
Orion rubbed his hand against his face, "Why would you, for the love of God think I would marry you and get your Father to come here and threaten me?" He calmly asked, despite the urge to shout.
She shrugged again, coming close to him, "It's tradition, Orion. But since you asked, I'll tell you." She took a deep breath, "I'm pregnant with you child."
Orion stared at her blankly for a moment, "I'm sorry what."
"I said, I'm pregnant with your baby."
