Chapter 34: Goodbye home- I
Panic surged through her body. "What?!" Go here? Pick her and go where?!
She gave Victoria a once over. "Do you expect me to answer your question? Get her up." she barked at the man standing behind victoria and this time he got moving.
Victoria heard his shuffling and her hands reached for the ground before she started crawling again from the man in a hurry. A hand gripped her ankle and within seconds, she was back where she had started from.
"Hello, little girl," a voice crooned in a ear like a crow and victoria realised who had been standing behind her the entire time. Mark.
Could this situation get any worse?
Her eyes went over to her parents, bound and beaten before shoved into a chair. Both of them were hardly able to keep their eyes open. Yet, their eyes turned on her, begging for her freedom when it was her who had landed them in this situation.
God, this was all because of her. Did she really need to think of the boy while running away? He was probably enjoying the attention he was getting from his parents, and here she was, once again on the verge of dying because of him.
Desperation crawled in when she noticed how much her parents had suffered already. The blood that had not yet clotted, the sight was too much to see and the time was hardly there to look from more.
She lunged at the feet of the woman before grabbing them and hugging them to her chest. "Please," Victoria begged, "please, let us go. My parents have done nothing to you. They were not even aware. Even you said that you had no intention of bringing me. Please, please, please let us all go!"
An annoyed sigh came first before she felt the woman try to kick her away but victoria kept her hug tight on the legs of the woman.
"Let go, you idiot."
"Please! PLease, let us go! I swear to God that none of us will ever come into your way again. You will never hear from us, you won't ever see us, please!"
Victorious sniffed continuously but did not let go of her legs. If begging was the only way out of it, to protect her parents, she would do it in a heartbeat.
"Let. Go. Of. My. Leg." The warning in her voice and eyes were clear and Victoria immediately let go.
"Good," the woman stepped away. " it's very easy to think that again can get you where you want to be, Victoria. People like you often resorted to that option very quickly. However," she sneered, "begging takes you nowhere."
Just as the dread of her words started to settle in, the woman was already looking at her men, "no more wasting time. Haul her ass out. Now!"
