The Bad Boy's Promise

Chapter 33: Home - IV

How Easy was it to one away from the house? Not at all. She was in constant fear when she was bringing back the boy from the basement that the woman would arise and she would take them away.

That almost had Victoria pass out from fear alone.

Then she had woken up in the hospital and had seen how the boy had his needs catered by his parents only to come to the realisation that hers were missing.

And now she understood why.

Because this woman had been holding her parents hostage and they had been unable to get out.

"What have I done to you?" The whisper left her mouth when the dam of Hope broke. "I am not Leah Adams, I'm not as rich as her. We ar-are poor people who don't h-have enough money to pay off even one of your cl-clothing items yet you are here after me. I am not t-the boy who you have something with, some kind of revenge that you want f-from. We are not them. T-then why are you here? Wha-what have we done to you?"

Several times she broke down to repeat the words again that came out as sobs. Yet, Victoria made sure to get her entire rambling out of the way.

It was just a cold smile gracing the face of the woman that did not leave. Botox or not, her entire face remained the same even after the long speech.

"don't you get it?" She whispered lovingly and walked to words Victoria before dropping down on her knees so that they could be of a level. But when they were not, due to the obvious height difference, she grabbed Victoria's chim before angling it up to face her.

"You ruined everything, Victoria smith . You ran away and I honestly could not have give a fuck about that but you ran away with the bargaining chip that I had." She scoffed before continuing, "you were stupid and we established that. But you were stupid enough to run away with the one thing that matters to me the most in that house?"

Shit.

Victoria could feel her eyes burn with tears as she thought about it. Even after, momentarily so, everything had seemed to be okay. The boy did not leave her and still turned out to be the worst presence anyone had ever had on her luck.

"W-we understand now. She understands now." Her father rasped out and a victorious eyes immediately went to him. Even though he could barely keep his eyes open, her father tried his best to pacify the situation and try to get them alive out of this.

"First of all shut up," the woman rolled her eyes and did not even bother looking back. "Second of all, the conversation and punishment is between me and Victoria. I decide if she understands or not and the mark on her face is not enough apparently." Her eyes went exactly over Victoria's face to where she had left the mark and Victoria recalled back.

"Pick her up." The woman barked. "We are leaving."
