Chapter 76: A Progressive
Filled with thoughts in his mind, Quagmire left his home with Habagat lazing around the bed. With soft and slow steps, he moved forward and, whilst thinking about things and seemingly lost in his very own thoughts, he sightsees the progress in his base.
Much more later, after finishing, he plans to see how his children are doing in the cloning facilities, and if they are going to be born soon. He was also curious as to what was now happening inside the facility and what it looked like; it is no joke to say, but he was extremely fascinated by it.
With those thoughts in mind, he went forward with a clear goal for the day. A few quick and soft steps later, he chanced upon the things that had been building; storage was being built for resources alike. He would need to buy a blueprint soon, as there was a limit to his very own mind, and on the materials that he could use.
Another thing to note is that he would have to study materials later on, so that he would not need to rely much on the blueprint unless necessary. After all, he was given the ability and the chance to be independent from it, he might as well take advantage of both, and it is not like there would be something wrong with it.
If there was a problem, then he could just use the Adjutant system, including its summoning powers. Moreover, he was the only one who could use the things that he summoned, so as much as possible, if it were not for him, he might as well be independent and start manufacturing various products, weapons, and all those things. It would also be beneficial for trade if the situation ever allows for it with other nations of the world.
Moreover, much more later, he would need to view the awards from the kills he made yesterday, as he have not checked the adjutant for a while, and any notifications that came, he have ignored, or rather pushed it to the back of his mind, as he was in the middle of fighting, and looking over it is not really that at all important, unless he needs to buy something from the store, or have to make plans financially.
After all, finances are also important, as he could take out the gold coins that he had, apparently it was the currency of this world, and so having gold coins just based on killing enemies is already a huge boon for him, and one that he is very thankful for. Not only that he could also supplement it with the gold that his droids have mined throughout the underground.
Speaking of droids and mining, Quagmire glanced over some of the storage, and it seemed like there were a lot of different materials already mined. he could see iron, gold, and other critical ores, which would then be smelted and made into a usable form in the smelter and other manufacturing plants.
Glancing more at his surroundings, he had found that the droids had continuously worked and produced throughout the night, and he could see some manufacturing plants and smelters already being built and had been finished. Not only that, but more droids were coming out of some of these facilities. The more he sees it, the more he guesses that the efficiency and industrialization process he was doing is immensely terrifyingly efficient.
He marvelled at the structures being built and dreamed of the empire that was soon to come, but he resisted it as he needed to stay grounded at all times. Never letting it get over his head, as one mistake means certain death, and all his hopes and dreams would come crumbling down right in front of him. Moreover, soon people and by people, those of his own and from this world with a beating heart, would soon be following him, and so he would be responsible for their lives.
Just as they would not want to disappoint him, he also must not disappoint them, always rising and breaking through their expectation, and in doing so, he is doing himself a favor, too. After all, it is more convenient if people have a better opinion of you, just like real nations, the reputable a nation is, the more people come and work, and build stuff.
It is the same thing with trust and faith alike, he needs people to trust him and have faith in him, and in doing so, he also must deliver, it is a social contract just like all things in the world, through agreement and feud conflicts, and friends are made. Those were the things he had learned in his world, and this world being sentient, he expects it to remain the same, just like some natural things staying the way they are throughout the ages and even in other worlds.
With those thoughts in his mind, his standards and expectations of himself have reached new heights. Now, moving forward, he would apply it to himself and even more so to the future of him, swearing that he must always break his own expectations of himself. He is not only doing it for himself, but for those who would come and go, and for those who would come to rely on him; it was fate, just like how he came to this world.
With a silent prayer of thanks, he continued on what he was doing, patrolling and marveling at the progress that had happened since he left yesterday until today. In just a span of a day, so many things have already changed. The power of automated stuff really is terrifying; what would take years happened in a single day.
Since he was using these technologies, he also began to wonder about the civilization that once used them. After all, he was using it, meaning it may have existed in this world or in other worlds. Which would mean other civilizations have reached such heights, and in thinking so, have left him in complete awe, of the civilization that managed to do so.
