That Time I Got Reincarnated With Gacha System In Mahabharata

Chapter 15: Chapter No.15 Blessings?!

[Aditya's POV]

As the mantras filled the air, their rhythm to match that of the crackling flames of the sacred fire, I felt the weight of the importance of this moment bearing down on me. This was no ceremony-it was fate joining. Draupadi's eyes stayed locked upon my own, dark but shining with a fire that drew within it both comfort and unease. There was something in the eyes that hinted at a concealment of a storm, an avenging brutal protectiveness, an all-consuming devotion that uplift or consume everything in sight.

I extended my hand toward hers, and she slid her hand slowly and carefully into mine. The feel of her skin gave me a jolt, reminding me of the bond we were about to create.

As the priest continued to chant, he asked us to walk around the fire of the sacred flame, symbolizing our togetherness. We started walking one step and then the other while moving together like we had been doing that for a long time.

With each step, Draupadi pulled my hand a little tighter, keeping her eyes on mine, and there was the smallest of smiles on her lips, but it was her stare that made me feel unsure; it was as if she was holding out a quiet challenge and mutely reminding me of her will to protect what belonged to her. As we finished the last turn around the fire, the priest lifted his hands to bless us. "From today on, Aditya and Draupadi are united by sacred vows, married as husband and wife," declared the priest, whose voice sounded clear and strong in the hall.

[Ding...]

"Now, Both husband and wife will take blessing from their elders," The chief Brahmin said to us, only then did I realise that from my side there is no one to give blessings.

A hollow feeling crept into my chest as the realization struck me. From my side, there were no elders, no family members to offer blessings, and no warm hands resting on our heads in acceptance. I stood there, hand in hand with Draupadi, surrounded by her family and relatives, yet utterly alone in a moment that was supposed to be filled with shared joy and connection.

"If you don't mind Aditya, I would like to offer my blessings," a voice broke through the silence, warm and gentle yet filled with reassurance and compassion. It was Lord Krishna himself, stepping forward with an ethereal grace that seemed to draw the attention of everyone present. His presence felt like the embrace of an old friend, familiar and comforting, and I could sense the weight of his understanding.

"Well, what do you say?" I felt a rush of warmth spread through me at Lord Krishna's words, his gaze piercing through the veil of my insecurities. It was as if he could see the very essence of my soul, recognizing the burden I carried from my past. The moment hung suspended in time, the world around us fading into a soft blur as I searched for the right words to respond.

"Yes, Lord Krishna," I finally said, my voice steady, though my heart raced. "Your blessings mean the world to me, especially now." I could see Draupadi's eyes flicker with surprise and hope, and that made me realize how important this moment was for both of us.

"Then come forward," Krishna said, his voice soothing like the gentle lapping of waves against a shore. He gestured for us to step closer, his aura radiating a calming energy that enveloped us. As we approached, the surrounding crowd shifted, their expressions shifting from curiosity to reverence.

The air crackled with energy as Lord Krishna placed his hands gently upon our heads, his touch sending a wave of warmth through me. "May this union bring you both wisdom, courage, and the strength to face whatever challenges lie ahead. Together, you shall weave a tapestry of love that will stand the test of time," he declared, his voice echoing like a soft chant.

As he stepped back, the world around us felt different—transformed. I glanced at Draupadi, and for the first time since the ceremony began, I saw her smile bloom fully, illuminating her features with an ethereal light. In that moment, the hollow feeling in my chest began to dissipate, replaced by a sense of belonging and purpose.

"Thank you, Lord Krishna," I said, bowing my head in respect, my heart swelling with gratitude. "Your presence and blessings mean everything to us."

The chief Brahmin nodded in approval. "With the blessings of the divine, this union is now complete. Let us proceed to the next rite of acceptance, where we will honor the families that brought you together."

As we turned to face Draupadi's family, I noticed the pride in her father's eyes, and the warmth of acceptance radiating from her mother. They seemed to embrace me as one of their own, bridging the gap left by my absence of family.

The next part of the ceremony involved Draupadi and me offering gifts of gratitude to her parents, a symbol of respect and acknowledgement for the union that had just been forged. Draupadi presented a beautifully crafted necklace to her mother, and in turn, her mother blessed us, tears of joy glistening in her eyes.

When it was my turn, I presented a handcrafted wooden box, intricately carved and filled with healing potions I got from gacha last night. I didn't know that the potions came in a box, So I kept fifty potions for myself and gave fifty potions with the box.

As I held the handcrafted wooden box before Draupadi's family, I could feel the weight of its significance. The carvings on the box depicted intricate patterns—symbols of protection and prosperity—that reflected the essence of the love and hope I felt in this moment. I took a deep breath, steadying my voice as I began to speak.

"Though I may not have a family to share this moment with, I vow to honor and cherish Draupadi and her family as my own," I declared, my eyes moving from her father to her mother, who regarded me with a mixture of curiosity and warmth. "This box contains healing potions I discovered in my journeys, a token of my gratitude and respect for the bonds we are forging today. May it bring health and well-being to our family."

As I opened the box to reveal the shimmering vials inside, I noticed the collective intake of breath from the gathered family members. The potions sparkled in the light, their vibrant colors catching the eye. There were fifty vials in total, each carefully crafted, representing not just the healing properties they possessed but also the care I had put into selecting them.

Draupadi's mother stepped forward, her expression softening. "These are beautiful, Aditya," she said, her voice laced with gratitude. "Your thoughtfulness speaks volumes about your character. Thank you for this generous gift."

Draupadi's father nodded approvingly, a hint of a smile tugging at the corners of his lips. "Indeed, it reflects the bond of trust we are building today. Welcome to our family, son."

As they accepted the gift, I felt a rush of warmth surge through me, filling the hollow space that had lingered since the beginning of the ceremony. In that moment, it was as if the essence of my past—of loss and loneliness—began to dissipate, replaced by the newfound ties of kinship and belonging.

The ceremony continued with laughter and music, and I found myself drawn into the joy surrounding us. Draupadi was radiant, her laughter like music to my ears as she danced among her family and friends, her spirit illuminating the room. I joined her, swept up in the revelry, feeling lighter than I had in a long time.

Later, as the festivities continued, Lord Krishna's presence lingered in my mind, his blessings resonating within me. I realized that this union was not just a joining of two lives but a merging of destinies—a path set forth by the divine, leading us into a future that was ours to shape.

As the night wore on, Draupadi and I found a quiet corner away from the celebration. The sounds of laughter and music faded into the background, leaving us enveloped in a cocoon of intimacy.

"Aditya," she said softly, her eyes shimmering with unspoken emotions. "I know that today was overwhelming, and I can see the weight of your past still lingers. But I want you to know that you are not alone anymore. I will stand by you, come what may."

Her words settled over me like a warm blanket, comforting and reassuring. I took her hands in mine, feeling the softness of her skin against my palms, grounding me in this moment. "I never imagined I could feel so accepted, so loved. You have already become my family, Draupadi. I promise to protect and cherish you with all that I am."

With that promise hanging in the air between us, we shared a quiet moment, the world outside our bubble fading into insignificance. The bond we were forging was still young, but I felt its strength coursing through me—rooted in respect, understanding, and an unyielding commitment to one another.

As we rejoined the festivities, I glanced around at the faces of her family, each one filled with joy and acceptance. I knew that this was just the beginning of our journey together. With Draupadi by my side, I felt ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead, emboldened by the love we had nurtured and the blessings of those who watched over us.
