Battered back by Rayquaza, Eternatus only had enough time to throw up a Protect to shield itself.

A heartbeat later, the rooftop was engulfed by the overwhelming energy unleashed from the clash between [Roar of Time] and [Spacial Rend].

The forces of time and space collided and compressed at the tower's peak. To Luo Yuan's senses, the space around the rooftop grew unstable — and under the temporal onslaught, the air itself began to distort, flickering with vague, overlapping images.

And that was just the beginning.

As the two forces continued to interact, space was torn apart. Colors beyond the visible spectrum bloomed in bursts atop the tower — hues no human eye was meant to see.

What Cyrus once tried to create back in Sinnoh… was now being realized here in Galar, under Luo Yuan's hand.

Even though Dialga and Palkia had sealed off the rooftop to contain the backlash, the Trainers watching remotely could still feel the sheer, world-ending power through the live broadcast alone.

If ordinary Trainers could sense that destruction just from a screen, then for Eternatus — the direct recipient — the experience was far more visceral.

It had only just awakened, barely recovered a sliver of energy before Luo Yuan caught up with it.

And the hasty [Protect] it'd managed to throw up crumbled like an eggshell under the force of Dialga and Palkia's joint assault — utterly shattered.

But Eternatus reacted fast. Realizing [Protect] wouldn't hold, it immediately cast [Substitute].

Pouring an enormous amount of energy into the decoy, it used the brief moment of cover to retreat.

And truthfully, Eternatus made the right call.

[Spacial Rend] landed on the [Substitute], shredding its outer shell to ribbons. The next instant, [Roar of Time] consumed it whole — reversing time, unraveling the [Substitute] back into its raw, primal energy.

Seeing that, even Eternatus felt a chill of fear crawl up its spine.

As that thought flashed through its mind, Eternatus fired off a [Dragon Pulse] to neutralize the lingering energy from [Spacial Rend] and [Roar of Time].

But before it could dwell on it further, a piercing shriek split the air beside it.

Wrapped in a spherical barrier, wielding a massive spoon, Mewtwo lunged straight for Eternatus' exposed energy core, its eyes locked on target with deadly intent.

A psychic blade — forged from high-frequency psychic force — coated the otherwise blunt spoon, making it unnervingly sharp.

Still reeling from Dialga and Palkia's assault, Eternatus was caught off guard by Mewtwo's sudden strike. It instinctively swung one of its rear tentacles in defense, slashing out with a [Cross Poison].

But against a psychic blade… that toxic-type move didn't stand a chance. One touch, and it shattered.

The spoon, still coated in psychic energy, pierced through the [Cross Poison] like a hot knife through butter, driving straight toward Eternatus' core.

Realizing the danger too late, Eternatus raised its claws in a desperate attempt to block the blow.

But Mewtwo had been ready.

The [Psyshock] it had held in its left hand was hurled forward — and exploded midair, unleashing a wave of pure mental force that slammed down like a tidal wave.

Under that crushing psychic pressure, Eternatus felt every bone in its body scream in protest.

Faced with a crisis like never before, it was forced to increase the rate at which it drew energy from the Galar region's darkness — siphoning massive reserves of power through the gloom into itself.

Only one option remained: [Eternamax].

Only [Eternamax] could match the power now threatening to overwhelm it.

From behind Deoxys, Luo Yuan watched Eternatus' frantic struggle and instantly saw through its plan.

But he had no intention of letting it succeed.

He reached out mentally to Rayquaza circling overhead, establishing a telepathic link. Then, Luo Yuan raised his right arm.

The [Key Stone] on his wrist resonated with the [Mikado Organ] within Rayquaza — and the energy building inside the dragon exploded into motion, glowing with celestial light as patterns across its body lit up.

The Trainers watching the livestream saw nothing but a blinding flare from the top of the tower — and then Rayquaza's form changed drastically.

[Delta Stream] howled through the sky, scattering the clouds summoned by the dark aura, and severely disrupting Eternatus' energy absorption.

Wreathed in a green aura, bearing millennia of rage and resentment, Rayquaza plummeted from the heavens — and became the final, fatal weight that broke Eternatus' last resistance.
