Chapter 427: Geminia's Guesses
"It will take me some time to fully realize all the abilities that I have acquired by connecting with this creature of Light," Lucinda said when Idan and Arabel asked what she had gained.
"In addition to the possibility of suppressing my lack, I discovered new interpretations of the element of light and even a certain unique ability. However, it takes me a while to figure out exactly how it works," Lucinda added.
"She's right, — Sierra said. "Although this creature's understanding of darkness is not comparable to mine, it offers a slightly different perspective on this element, which may also be useful to me."
"By the way, little sister, I can't say for sure yet, but I've noticed that the creature of darkness' unique ability isn't limited to manipulating hair," Sierra suddenly said, drawing Arabel's attention.
"How is that so?" asked Arabel in surprise.
"From what I've been able to understand, it seems that the creature of Darkness has adapted to the Womskinner race and adapted its hair manipulation ability. In fact, this creature has other abilities that are still unknown to me," Sierra shared her discovery.
Arabel's understanding of the element of darkness was mainly gained through her connection with the same creature of darkness. So it's not surprising that Arabel didn't discover what Sierra had noticed.
Unlike her, Sierra was a Valkyrie of Legendary Rank, which corresponds to a Rank 8 creature, two ranks higher than the strongest member of the Womskinner race, the Queen herself. Sierra already had a deep understanding of Darkness, surpassing all the creatures of Darkness from that incomplete world of Darkness and Light.
After the creatures of Darkness and Light were distributed among the Valkyries of the respective elements, everyone sat down at a large table.
Eulalia, as the second youngest, prepared drinks according to everyone's wishes and served them. There were also all kinds of snacks brought from Idan and Arabel's world on the table.
Geminia disappeared for a short while, but soon returned, holding baby Rizzy in her arms, who was sleepily rubbing her eyes. When she saw Idan and Arabel, she began to coo and reach out to them to drink blood.
Before everyone could notice, Arabel had already appeared in front of Geminia, extending her hand to take the baby.
"That's it, take your time," Arabel said softly as Rizzy grabbed her finger and began sucking her blood.
Soon, she was sitting next to Idan, completely immersed in taking care of Rizzy.
"How's the Hero?" asked Idan, noticing that everyone except him was at the table. Even Izzy was in Sierra's arms, and the Nanny doll was standing next to her, ready to help at any moment.
"He's gradually coming to his senses," Milica remarked with a smile. "While Lucinda was with you, she went out and strolled around the neighborhood a few times, but she came back every time. The sacred staff was always by her side so that she wouldn't do anything stupid. She was even with Izzy for a while."
Idan nodded in response. Not much time has passed, and the Hero will probably need more time to recover. But she seems to be getting better already.
"I suppose you're all interested in knowing what we encountered when we left last time?" said Idan to everyone, and upon hearing his words, everyone nodded in response.
In Limbo, due to its isolation and limitations, there weren't many events that could interest creatures like Milisa and the others. Therefore, everyone was curious to find out what trials this couple faced during their journey to a completely different world.
"Where should I start?" Idan wondered. Then he decided to tell the story briefly, starting with their decision to travel North in search of Arabel's younger brother and ending with the defense of the city and the battle at the portal.
"Do you have not only the ability to summon and take your contracted creatures with you, but also a unique technique called Avatar?" wondered Eulalia when she heard how Idan used this ability to control Ned's body.
"We acquired this ability on the very day we signed our first contract. It arose due to the unique feature of "Perfect Doppelgangers" — the ability to take on an almost exact copy of ourselves." After explaining this, Idan shared what he had learned while using this technique to get the opinion of the more experienced women present.
"That's interesting," said Milica, fascinated by the Avatar's new ability.
"When did this sly guy manage to copy me?" — Lucinda exclaimed indignantly after learning that Ned had taken her form during the battle and helped Idan.
"According to you, Ned shouldn't have been conscious, should he?" Geminia asked, listening intently to her descendant's adventures in the hope of unraveling what made him change before he died.
"Yes, it's true. I was very surprised myself, but it was Ned who saved me then and gave me a lot of help," said Idan. He explained everything in detail, trying not to miss anything, and then waited for the opinion of the others before continuing his story.
"Hmm...I suspect that the reason lies in the Energy of Madness," Geminia suggested. "The energy of madness has its own special power. As my descendant, Ned is immune to it. I think that when you used the Energy of Madness, it woke Ned up, and he made contact with you because of that."
"I think so too," Sierra agreed, and then turned to Arabel.
"We can check it out next time you come and bring a Bera," she suggested, and Geminia's eyes lit up.
"Arabel, please don't forget to bring her with you next time, it's very important to me," Geminia addressed Arabel, surprising her. "I didn't tell you, but something happened to Ned before he died. It felt like development and evolution, and I felt it through our family connection."
Everyone immediately turned to Geminia, intrigued by her words.
"I do not know what exactly happened to Ned, but it was the first time that my descendant achieved such an important result," she added. "I was so happy about this event and I was already looking forward to when he would come back with you next time."
After hearing Geminia's words, everyone fell silent. They all knew what had happened to Ned.
"But as you know, it didn't take long for Ned to die," Geminia's voice trembled slightly as she said these words. "It was the first time in a long time that I was so sad and angry about it at the same time."
Those words made it clear why Geminia was in such a mood when she appeared in front of everyone when Idan and Arabel returned, taking Ned's killer with them. And why she took the Queen with her.
It also made everyone wonder what had happened to the Queen.
