Chapter 716: Bloodmanacer Vs Necromancer
Nox felt an intense vibration pass through his arms when he clashed with Hendrix.
Their clash generated a powerful shockwave that destroyed dozens of pillars in a row. Nox skidded back a few steps, while Hendrix barely moved from his spot.
A sharp gleam passed through Nox's eyes. 'He has really gotten stronger.'
Hendrix smirked, noticing the brief look of surprise in his opponent's eyes.
Snapping his fingers, five identical clones appeared across the ruined throne room.
"If I were you, I wouldn't do that," Nox warned, stomping the ground heavily as his body shot forward like a bullet.
Only after Nox closed the distance did Hendrix realize he had forgotten something.
'This bastard already found the weakness to my clone skill!'
And he wasn't wrong—Nox had already locked onto the original Hendrix. His blade whistled through the air, cutting past the fake illusions like they were nothing more than mist.
BOOM!
The floor cracked open as Hendrix barely tilted his body aside. The force of Nox's slash carved a deep scar into the marble behind him.
"That skill's useless," Nox pointed out, taking a relaxed fighting stance as he added with a provocative smirk. "If you're really serious about killing me, then you'll have to show me something I haven't seen before."
Nox still remembered all the skills Hendrix had displayed during the summit years back; therefore, he knew the best method to counter him.
"Very well then," Hendrix replied, and for the first time, he did something Nox hadn't seen before.
"How gullible." Seeing his actions, Nox couldn't help but smirk as his left eye glowed.

Outside, demons and humans had resumed their clash once more. However, the duo who had stolen all the attention was none other than Eve and Number Two—who had just revealed that he was an Awakened as well.
This was quite shocking for Nathan and the others, who had believed all this while that Flaming Rose was against Awakened and mostly relied on treasures and weapons to fight them.
Nathan glanced at the ongoing fight between the Necromancer and the Bloodmancer one last time. Knowing Eve's strength, he was confident she could contain him.
Therefore, he focused on dealing with the horde of demons, who now had a look of fear in their eyes as they realized the enemy forces not only outnumbered them but were also far stronger.
Swoosh! Swoosh!
The blood of fallen soldiers, human and demon alike, shivered—then shot upward like spears. Dozens of crimson lances screamed through the air, all aimed at Eve's heart.
"Dead Hand!" Eve snapped her fingers.
Crack! BOOM!
The ground beneath her split open as massive skeletal hands burst out. The blood spears slammed into them with sickening cracks, piercing deep but stopping inches from her chest.
Black necrotic mist spread across the bones, reinforcing them.
A sneer appeared on Number Two's face as he flicked his wrist. Instantly, the spears melted back into liquid, slithering around the bone wall like serpents searching for prey. They sharpened again midair, aiming for her back.
But Eve had already predicted this.
A wave of necrotic energy erupted from her as her feminine undead appeared in front of her. They hurled themselves into the path of the blood blades. The crimson tore through them easily, but in doing so lost its form, splattering uselessly across the battlefield.
"Sacrificing pawns for a few seconds?" Number Two sneered, irritation lacing his voice. "How typical of your kind."
"We're not different!" Eve snapped, waving her hand as a dark magic staff materialized in her grasp.
"Arise!" she roared.
One after the other, the corpses she'd just sacrificed twisted, reforming under her control. Flesh and bone fused anew, their eyes glowing brighter as they charged forward with sharper, faster movements.
And this time, they attacked.
Dozens of demonic undead rushed the Bloodmancer, attacking from every angle.
Number Two raised his hand, and the air rippled with blood energy. His dark eyes gleamed with hunger as the undead closed in from all directions.
The first wave struck him head-on.
But instead of faltering, Number Two's lips curled into a twisted smile. The blood from every shattered body refused to fall. It gathered instead, swirling tighter and tighter around him.
Eve narrowed her eyes as the pressure shifted. Even experienced soldiers staggered back, unable to endure the oppressive clash of power between the two Awakened.
"You can summon as many corpses as you want," Number Two said coldly, his voice cutting through the chaos. "But all you're doing is feeding me."
Eve slammed her staff onto the ground, and dark energy burst out in every direction.
The earth cracked open instantly. Rotten hands clawed their way up, dirt flying everywhere as skeletons and zombies dragged themselves out. In seconds, her army doubled.
The moment both sides clashed again, the entire battlefield trembled.
Inside the throne room, Hendrix's body trembled, and then a crushing wave of energy erupted out of him like a mountain descending, fracturing the ground.
Hendrix lifted one hand lazily, like he was pressing down on strings nobody else could see. The whole throne room rumbled, broken pillars cracking further under the pressure.
Nox's shoulders dropped as he felt the crushing pressure force his feet into the ground. His ribs squeezed, his chest felt like it was about to cave in. Even breathing became difficult, like the air itself had turned solid.
"This is new, isn't it?" Hendrix chuckled, his aura raging around him like a storm. "Been saving it just for you."
He flicked his wrist.
BOOM!
The pressure slammed down again. The ground under Nox's knee cracked apart as his body was forced down. He stabbed his sword into the floor, holding himself up.
"Kneel," Hendrix said, grinning. "It suits you."
Nox gritted his teeth, muscles bulging, veins popping under the weight...
'Dammit, I really pissed him off.' Nox thought with a dark expression as he felt his bones being crushed.
