Superman's Saiyan little brother

Chapter 630: Chapter 629: The Unperished

After a while, when Diana realized that Robert indeed had no intention of coming to her, a trace of dissatisfaction flashed in her eyes as she said, "Hmph! It's understandable you accompanied her before since she almost lost her life, but now that you're here and not coming to see me, I want to see what you're up to..."

With that, Diana's figure flashed and disappeared. On the other side, Robert sensed Diana's presence, and a trace of helplessness flashed in his eyes because she had already appeared in front of him and Hancock.

"Who are you?!" Hancock was startled when he saw Diana suddenly appear, becoming instantly vigilant and forcibly gathering the strength that was fading from his body.

"Don't move, she's one of us." Robert stopped Hancock helplessly and winked at Diana.

"One of us?" Hancock looked at Robert in confusion and then at the silent Diana, unsure whether he should say anything.

"I'm on a mission and can't stay here for long..." Robert quickly communicated to Diana telepathically while Hancock was still confused.

"Why use telepathy? Afraid to be seen?" Diana frowned slightly and asked Robert telepathically.

"It's not that. Kara's strength has increased a lot, and I'm not sure if she's watching..." Robert explained.

"So what if she's watching? You came to my territory, and I must accompany you. Don't worry, I won't force you to stay if you don't want to..." Diana's initial frown turned into a smile as she appeared next to Robert, taking his arm and speaking softly, this time without using telepathy.

"Bitch!" Back at the Avengers' base, Kara couldn't help but curse. Tony Stark's eyes lit up with expectation, hoping for more details, thinking he might witness a showdown.

However, when Kara glared at him coldly, Tony awkwardly smiled, refraining from further probing and turned to his own tasks. Nevertheless, he secretly instructed Jarvis to monitor Kara, hoping to uncover something.

"You..." Hancock was stunned when he saw Diana taking Robert's arm, looking at them in bewilderment, unsure of what to say.

"What about me? Do you want to find your wife or not? Follow me!" Robert glared at Hancock, then flew ahead with Diana.

Knowing that Diana would ask about Hancock and Mary's situation once they found Mary, Robert briefly explained their story telepathically to her. As expected, Diana gave him a disdainful look.

"By the way, I was going to find you earlier. There have been many unlucky incidents in Europe, and I saw Superman, but he seemed busy, so I didn't get a chance to communicate with him..." Diana, having finished giving Robert a disdainful look, remembered the previous events and spoke with some concern. "The unlucky incidents seem to have disappeared or reduced, but the future is still uncertain..."

"It should be fine. Here's what happened..." Robert nodded knowingly and explained the Earth's upheavals and Lucifer's situation to Diana. As they talked, the three of them arrived at a café.

At this moment, Robert noticed Hancock's aura had dropped significantly, even below that of Peter Parker's current physical strength.

"Hmm? What's this?" Inside the café, Mary, who was drinking coffee, suddenly felt her body's change. She looked out the window and saw Hancock staring at her with deep affection.

At that moment, neither Hancock nor Mary could see anyone else. They looked at each other through the glass, their eyes filled with sorrow.

"So it's her. I saw her before, helping many people during those unlucky incidents. But her strength has indeed decreased significantly. According to what you said, they really aren't suited to be together..." Diana's eyes brightened when she saw Mary. She spoke to Robert telepathically without disturbing the atmosphere.

"Diana, you're well-versed in these matters. Have you heard of such a situation before? Or is there any god system with similar powers?" Robert, sensing Hancock and Mary's auras continuing to decline, asked Diana for advice.

Among those around Robert, Diana knew the most about the supernatural world, especially the ancient god systems, more than even Constantine or the Ancient One. After all, Diana was an inheritor of the ancient gods, unlike Thor, the leader of the New Asgard who was still developing his power secretly on Earth.

"Honestly, I haven't heard of such a situation. They don't have the aura of divine power..." Diana frowned, her eyes glinting as if recalling her past experiences. After a while, she shook her head and said telepathically.

"But this situation is definitely abnormal. If I had to make a reasonable guess, they might be cursed by a mysterious entity, and their powers also come from this entity. Otherwise, there's no reason for their powers to fade so naturally and silently."

"A curse, huh? That's troublesome..." Robert scratched his chin, feeling a bit helpless. He had no solution for this kind of problem, but ignoring it would waste Hancock and Mary's potential.

When separated, Hancock's strength could increase continuously, and Mary might be the same. Their power limits were unknown but probably not weaker than the Martian Manhunter or Kara.

Such strength was crucial for the Avengers, handling many dimensional invasion events by powerful beings. Losing such power would be a significant waste.

Moreover, if Hancock stayed with Mary, he'd experience the misfortunes he mentioned, suffering injuries. If he died, it would be even more unfortunate. Of course, if Hancock did die, Mary would likely regain her strength without any more weaknesses. Robert vaguely felt that the true essence of their curse was in their choices.

"This beautiful lady, may I buy you a coffee?" As Hancock and Mary gazed at each other, a flamboyantly dressed man approached, looking at Mary's empty cup and asking in a deep, seductive voice.

"Damn it!" Hancock cursed and rushed into the café, pushing the man away angrily. "You dare hit on anyone?"

When Hancock and Mary looked at each other, their powers had faded completely. Hancock's strength had declined significantly by the time he entered the café, becoming an ordinary person.

"Did you just push me?" The man, whose butt hurt from the fall, got up angrily and grabbed a chair, smashing it towards Hancock, showing none of his previous gentlemanly demeanor.

With a crack, the chair broke on Hancock, who felt his arm break, his face changing drastically.

When the chair struck, Hancock's powers had faded completely, making him no different from an ordinary person.

"Hancock! Are you okay? I told you not to find me. See, you're hurt again?" Mary rushed to Hancock's side, her face full of worry and reproach.

"No! I won't leave you again. No matter what happens, I won't leave you!" Hancock, enduring the pain in his arm, looked at Mary and said firmly.

"No! You must go..." Mary's eyes reddened, but seeing Hancock's pale face despite his dark complexion, she bit her lip and insisted.

"Didn't you hear? The lady wants you to leave!" The man, thinking he had a chance with Mary, yelled at Hancock.

"Get lost." Robert and Diana entered, with Robert giving the man a cold look.

"You... you..." The man, about to retort, saw Diana and suddenly experienced a terrifying vision of corpses and demons, causing him to scream in terror and roll on the floor.

"Let's go somewhere we won't be disturbed." Robert pulled Hancock up and gave Diana a signal. She helped Mary leave the café.

"No! It's fake! All fake! Illusions can't scare me! Hahaha! I'm Zeus, the father of gods! I'm God! Stay away!" The man continued to shout as the four left.

"What... what happened to him?" Mary hesitated, looking at Diana, guessing that Robert and Diana had something to do with the man's state.

Diana glanced at Robert, feeling a mix of amusement and sweetness, knowing Robert had intervened to stop the man's advances. She felt that Robert's assertiveness was quite endearing.

"Nothing, just a little lesson. He won't die." Robert smiled, dismissing the incident.

Reaching a secluded spot, Robert and Diana took Hancock and Mary and flew up. Mary's pupils shrank slightly, wary of Robert and Diana, but she said nothing when Hancock shook his head.
