Superman's Saiyan little brother

Chapter 610: Chapter 610: Role Reversal of Destruction and Protection

With a series of cracking sounds, the space around the elderly gentleman shattered like a mirror as he finished speaking. However, in the next moment, everything returned to normal as if rewound. Then, a figure familiar to Earthlings appeared behind the mirror. His expression was serious as he stared at the elderly gentleman and threw a punch. Who else could this be but Clark?

"Don't struggle. I don't want to fight, and you shouldn't either, or my frail child wouldn't survive a punch from you," the elderly gentleman said, shaking his head in seeming resignation as he restored the broken mirror while speaking softly.

This scene had played out many times for the elderly gentleman. Since Gabriel and Mammon's arrival, Clark and the elderly gentleman had been present. At that time, Robert and Diana hadn't yet made a move. Clark, aware of the significant threat Gabriel and Mammon posed to Earth, was ready to act...

However, at that moment, the surrounding space changed, enveloping Clark in a force similar to a mirrored space. This space did not manifest a tangible environment around him, merely isolating Clark from the normal space.

"I never expected to encounter you. Honestly, I would rather not meet someone like you, a child of destiny," the elderly gentleman remarked as he trapped Clark, looking at him with a hint of sentiment.

"Who are you? Are you here to invade Earth too?" Clark sensed a pressure from the elderly gentleman even greater than when he fought the God-King Odin. It had been a long time since that battle, and Clark's strength had improved considerably. Clark didn't know his current level but believed that if he fought Odin again, regardless of Odin's trump cards, he would surely win.

However, facing this unknown elderly gentleman, Clark felt a pressure beyond anything he'd experienced before. It reminded him of the time Robert and Kara disappeared into a mysterious tavern, where Kara fought a succubus...

"You may not believe it, but I'm not here to invade Earth. I'm just here on vacation. I quite like Earth's atmosphere and environment," the elderly gentleman replied with a light smile.

"I'm sorry, but Earth doesn't welcome outsiders like you. So, whether it's you, the angels, or the demons, please leave!" Clark took a deep breath, gathering his strength and attempting to break through the surrounding mirror.

Clark could easily shatter one layer of the mirror, but the problem was the sheer number of layers. Moreover, the elderly gentleman could continuously restore the mirrors faster than Clark could break them.

"Your power exceeds my expectations. The last time I saw you, you weren't nearly this strong..." the elderly gentleman commented while repairing the mirrors. "Honestly, your growing strength also indicates increasing crises for Earth. Fate is fair; it won't favor you, a child of destiny, without consequence..."

"But it's a bit troubling. It seems Earth isn't as safe as I thought. Where can I go for a vacation then? You children of destiny are really annoying!"

"What are you talking about?" Clark didn't quite understand the elderly gentleman's words. He continued striking the mirrors, especially as he noticed Robert and Diana had appeared, and Robert was struggling in his fight with Mammon. Clark redoubled his efforts, but to no avail.

Clark was very powerful now, but as mentioned before, his methods were too limited. Compared to Hellboy, Clark had more abilities, but when facing equally or stronger opponents, unless he could overpower them by sheer force, Clark had no effective way to counter these extraordinary methods.

As the stalemate continued, Robert repeatedly forced Mammon back with energy waves, allowing him brief moments to catch his breath and find opportunities to counterattack. However, the difference in strength between them remained significant.

Seeing Robert and Diana's battle intensify, shattering more mirrors, the elderly gentleman sighed, "So, what exactly are you superheroes protecting? Aren't you just causing destruction yourselves?" he said, somewhat regretfully.

"But I'm quite curious about your brother. I've scoured the universe and found no others of his kind. There's no record of such a unique soul in any dimension, including the hell dimension..."

"I even looked into other dimensions to see if it was their doing, but to no avail. His power truly comes from his cells and bloodline..."

At that moment, the elderly gentleman waved his hand, sending out a stronger force. Baron Mordo and others, who had been struggling to create a mirror dimension, were surprised to find it had been successfully established. However, they realized this new mirror dimension was beyond their control.

"Master? Is that you?" Baron Mordo and the others exchanged glances, hesitantly calling out.

"The Ancient One?" The Pope, who had been trying to approach the battlefields but failed, felt a glimmer of hope. He looked around but did not see the Ancient One.

"What... what's going on? Is this really the mirror dimension?" Kaecilius hesitated, sensing the mirror dimension that he could not control.

Rather than protecting Earth, it seemed they were trapped in a new domain, one much stronger than the previous building domain.

"What are you doing now?" Seeing the elderly gentleman's actions, Clark stopped his attack, concerned that breaking the mirrors might affect the entire space. He frowned and asked the elderly gentleman.

"I told you, Earth is my vacation spot. If they blow up Earth, I won't have anywhere to vacation," the elderly gentleman replied with a smile, spreading his hands.

"So now, can you just sit back and watch? Neither of us will participate in this battle. If that fighting kid and the Amazon warrior win, you will have resolved this crisis. But if they lose, you can't just destroy Earth in a fit of rage. Deal?"

The elderly gentleman's words left Clark stunned. For a moment, he couldn't distinguish who was on Earth's side. Why was Robert destroying Earth while the invader wanted to protect it? Had they already assumed Earth was their territory?

However, Clark quickly glanced at Robert. He knew that without worrying about Earth's destruction, Robert could unleash terrifying power. Until Clark found a way to deal with the mysterious elderly gentleman, stalling seemed like a reasonable course of action.

Meanwhile, Mammon and Gabriel, noticing the sudden change in the environment, instinctively thought the Ancient One had arrived. They quickly distanced themselves from Robert and Diana, warily observing their surroundings.

"Sayajin, don't rush to attack..." Just as Robert was about to charge at Mammon again, a voice reached his ears, causing him to pause.

The voice belonged to none other than the Pope, who had seized the moment to contact Robert after waiting for the Ancient One.

Initially, the Pope planned to deal with Gabriel, even willing to sacrifice his life and use all the accumulated faith power on Earth to kill Gabriel. However, upon arriving at the battlefield, he realized he had overestimated himself. His trump card might have such an effect, but the problem was he couldn't include Diana in the suppression range.

Moreover, the Pope noticed that Diana's strength in battle was not weaker than Gabriel's. She might be slightly inferior in raw power, but her abundance of equipment made up for it. Diana had not only enhanced her strength on Themyscira but also her artifacts, matching her level.

Gabriel, on the other hand, lacked such external aids. Merely manifesting all his power on Earth had cost Gabriel greatly. Bringing additional methods would have been even more costly.

As Diana used more artifacts, she occasionally gained the upper hand in her battle with Gabriel. Robert's situation was different. The Pope couldn't gauge Robert's strength or his ability to continuously increase his combat power. However, he could see Robert's injuries and Mammon's condition.

After some deliberation, the Pope decided to assist Robert against Mammon, a decision made before the surrounding space formed, trapping them. After hesitating for a few seconds, the Pope still chose to assist Robert.

"You can give my power the ability to counter him?" Robert's eyes lit up upon hearing the Pope's words. He had experienced the advantage of elemental restraint before. If Mammon were replaced by a high-ranking entity from the Dark Dimension, Robert wouldn't be struggling so much. He could better use the power of the Great Ape's Rage to elevate his combat power and achieve a peak battle!

So, upon hearing the Pope's proposal, Robert nodded. However, before he could speak, the Pope's body emitted a white light, drawing everyone's attention. In the next moment, the white light surged towards Robert's body, not fully merging with him but adding a layer of white aura over the green flames of the Great Ape's Rage...

After doing this, the Pope's face paled, and he almost collapsed. Fortunately, Constantine quickly caught him.

"You traitor!" Gabriel noticed the Pope's actions, a flash of anger in her eyes as she shouted at him, "This is all the faith of the Lord! How dare you use the Lord's power on a mortal?!"

With a bang, Gabriel charged towards the Pope, intending to tear him apart, but was once again blocked by Diana's divine shield.

"Your opponent is me!" Diana said, brimming with fighting spirit as she wielded the Sword of Hephaestus and charged forward.

"You even healed my injuries? Not bad! Ugly demon, round two is about to begin. Are you ready?" Meanwhile, Robert flexed his body and once again challenged Mammon, his figure suddenly disappearing from his original position.
