Super system makes me a trillionaire

Chapter 159:The Auction_1

Instantly, everyone in the room was visibly in shock and awe.

Bright, who was sitting there, had a somewhat peculiar look on his face as he stared at Buck.

So, this guy was from the Robinson family?

He sneered to himself.

With an indifferent shake of his head, Bright spoke. "I believe you said something to me earlier, either you would send me to the hospital today, or I would give you fifty million dollars, is that right?"

As he said that, Bright slowly rose to his feet.

At the same time, Buck was sweating profusely.

Stuttering, he said, "A-A misunderstanding, it's all a misunderstanding…"

"A misunderstanding?" A derisive laugh left Bright's lips.

"I don't think that this is just a misunderstanding! I will give you two options! Either I make you hospitalized for around a year, or you pay 500 million dollars to settle this." Bright said.

Bright's words were brimming with cold harshness.

Upon hearing the two choices, Sinclair's face turned pale.

Either Buck would be hospitalized for around a year, or he had to give Bright 500 million dollars.

Both options were nearly enough to cost him half his life!

Sinclair looked somewhat bitter.

He knew that things weren't going to end well.

If it were anyone else, it would have depended on the person's status and dignity.

A simple apology from Buck would have sufficed.

Despite that, Bright was different. He was Maxwell's esteemed guest.

If Maxwell were to find out that Buck had offended Bright, he wouldn't hesitate to beat him with a cane.

Also, on Sinclair's way over, he found out something about Bright's status.

Therefore, Sinclair had no choice but to bitterly laugh and say, "I'm sorry that my rude son has offended you, Mr. John. I ask for your compassion. However, 500 million is too much, I can't give it to you all at once. Could you give cus a two day extension? Once we have the money, I will personally deliver it to your residence."

"Sure." Bright nodded.

Then, he began to walk out.

"Niamh, let's go."

"Alright." Niamh nodded and followed him.

At the same time, she addressed Sinclair, saying, "Goodbye, uncle Sinclair."

"Okay, drive safe." Sinclair answered with a smile.

He watched as Bright and Niamh left.

Only then, did he breathe a sigh of relief.

After that, he glanced at Buck with disappointment and frustration. His fists were gradually clenching.

"Everyone, out." Sinclair glanced at the people around him and spoke with a deep voice.

"Yes."

The subordinates in the office immediately vacated the room.

In no time, only Sinclair and Buck were left in the office.

"Dad…" Buck muttered softly.

"Shut up! I no longer acknowledge you as my son." Sinclair spoke with evident irritation.

Immediately, Buck shrank his neck back.

"I already fucking told you that there are always bigger fish in the sea! I told you to lay low and start a real business, but you just wouldn't listen! You've done it now! You have provoked the person one should never cross!" Sinclair was furiously reprimanding him.

Buck then whispered, "Dad, who exactly was that man earlier…"

Sinclair let out a breath.

Then he replied, "I'm not too clear about that man's background, but grandpa treats him with respect. Not to mention, after a bit of investigation, it seems that he has some connections with the Mosley family."

"The Mosley family?"

Buck was taken aback for a moment, not quite registering it quickly enough. However, the realization soon dawned on him, hurriedly, his expression changed.

"You mean ghe owners of Triumph Group?!"

"Exactly." Sinclair stated calmly.

Then, his tone became more drawn out. "This time, you have really put me in a tough spot. You have to come up with 500 million dollars as soon as possible. Otherwise, I won't be able to protect you if he really gets angry."

"I understand." Buck's expression kept changing.

He knew that Sinclair wasn't just trying to scare him.

The Mosley family, the owners of Triumph Group…

They were not people that an illegitimate child like him could compete with.

Even if Sinclair was a part of the Robinson family in Cartmel, he was not on the same level as them.

It was possible that only the Robinson family from Pelwick could be of equal standing with the Mosley family.

However, his face turned bitter.

"But dad, I can't scrape together 500 million…" Buck looked bitterly miserable.

"Sigh… I will pay a part of it for you, my stupid son…" Sinclair shook his head as he spoke.

.....

Meanwhile, Bright and Niamh got into the backseat of the car.

Just now, Bright had gotten a clear understanding of the specific situation from Niamh.

"I didn't expect them to be related like that." Bright remarked with a slight chuckle.

Suddenly, Niamh asked, "By the way, there is an auction tomorrow, would you like to go with me?"

"Auction? What auction?" Bright was a bit puzzled.

"It's tomorrow at 11:30 in the morning. There will be a charity luncheon and auction at the Cartmel Hotel, I have been invited to represent the Robinson family, would you like to accompany me?" She asked.

"Sure, I will go with you tomorrow to check it out." After pondering for a bit, Bright nodded.

"Alright, I will call you when it's time." She said.

"Okay, but since it's a charity lunch, how about you donate a painting in my stead?"

When Bright's words settled, Niamh was taken aback.

Then, her eyes lit up.

Immediately, she replied, "That sounds great! But with your skills, if you donate a painting… it could easily be worth 60 or 70 million if it was auctioned off."

"Just consider it as a donation." Bright said with a smile.

Then, the three of them went home.

Since Bright didn't have any art supplies at his house, he went to Niamh's.

After dipping the brush into paint, it danced on the canvas like a phoenix.

As the brush freely traversed the paper, an expressive painting of a flower and bird emerged.

Looking at Bright's painting, Niamh was astounded.

"This painting is amazing!" She marveled.

Niamh couldn't help but exclaim out of excitement.

"What is the name of this painting, Bright?" She asked.

As he gazed at the painting, Bright was deeply contemplating.

Then, he opened his mouth and answered, "I will just call it Rhododendron."

With that, Niamh murmured, "Rhododendron… that's a nice name."
