Chapter 158:Buck’s Misery_
At that moment, Bright spoke up in a relaxed tone. "Yesterday, I warned him to keep your people away from my restaurant, or you all would suffer the consequences, it seems that Loga didn't tell you that."
After he said that, a sense of foreboding began to emerge in Buck's mind.
Then, he hastily dialed Loga's number, the phone rang for a while but no one answered.
Instantly, Buck's face turned grim.
He took a deep breath, looked at Bright and said in a deep voice, "What have you done to Loga and the others?"
"Don't worry, they are not dead, they will just be bedridden for a while." Brighg responded with a light laugh.
"How dare you!" Buck slapped the table violently, anger surfacing in his eyes.
However, a smile quickly appeared on his face.
"Hmph! You sure have some guts to show your face here after hurting our employees. I guess you don't know what it means to dig your own grave." He said.
With that Buck fiercely smashed the teacup in his hand onto the floor.
Crash!
As soon as the teacup broke, the people outside rushed in.
The initially spacious office suddenly felt crowded.
The people surrounded Bright.
Buck slowly approached Bright as well.
"Kid, no one in Cartmel has ever dared to hurt any of my men. You are the first!" Buck boomed.
"Really?" Bright glanced at Buck, remaining unperturbed.
"Hmph! I will give you two options now, kid." Buck thundered with a ferocious look on his face.
"Either my thirty men send you to the hospital, or you leave 50 million dollars and get the hell out on your own." He continued.
Hearing that, Bright simply scoffed.
"What are you laughing at?" Buck frowned, asking in confusion.
"Hmph nothing! I'm just laughing at you. You sure know how to bite off more than you can chew." Bright said.
"You brat! You are really asking for it!" Buck's face contorted with rage.
The lackeys next to him started rebuking Bright angrily and loudly.
"Don't bite the hand that feeds you, kid!"
"I'm warning you, you are on our turf now! Watch your mouth, kid!"
There was an outburst of scolding, but Bright continued sitting there calmly.
Brighg was relaxed like a cloud floating along the wind.
In contrast, Buck was seething with rage.
Where did Bright get that confidence? How could he be so calm even then?
At that moment, Buck was internally boiling with rage.
One of his subordinates noticed how angry he was.
Immediately, he started cursing and stomped towards Bright.
"Get over here, you brat!"
While cursing at Bright, the subordinate started reaching out, about to grab Bright's collar.
Upon seeing the subordinate's movements, Bright frowned subtly and moved.
Then, his palm shot out violently.
Grabbing the subordinate's hair, he exerted a huge amount of force.
Bang!
With a loud noise, the glass table in front of them was instantly smashed to pieces with the subordinate stuck in it.
"Don't you dare make a move." Bright stated coldly.
Upon seeing Bright's actions, everyone was instantly taken aback.
Bright had moved so swiftly that all of them were taken aback and unable to react in time.
Regardless, Buck quickly came back to his senses.
He immediately started cursing, saying, "How dare you hit him? Everyone, get him! I will take responsibility for any injuries!"
However, as soon as those words left his mouth, a loud commotion was heard from outside.
Then, everyone heard someone bellow, "Which one of you dares to touch Mr. John?"
With that, a dignified man with a square face came striding in.
By his side, there was a slender woman with a perfect figure.
Upon seeing the man who walked in, Buck was completely stunned.
Before he could react, the man had already quickly approached Bright.
He immediately showed the utmost respect, saying, "I sincerely apologize for being late, Mr. John. Are you alright?"
"I'm fine." Bright responded flatly.
At the same time, he shot Niamh a curious look.
Niamh looked like she was enjoying herself immensely.
Meanwhile, the middle aged man let out a sigh of relief after hearing Bright's words.
The very next moment, he looked livid, quickly stepping toward Buck.
He then furiously raised his leg to kick him.
"Buck, you disgraceful son! Who gave you the audacity to lay a finger on Mr. John? Do you not realize that Mr. John is an honored guest of Master Robinson?!" He roared.
Buck, who was curled up on the ground in pain, was left dumbstruck.
His eyes were wide open as if his mind had been hit by a hammer weighing tons.
Buck was completely stunned.
He never would have thought that his own father would show up, not to mention that the first thing he did was to kick him.
On top of that, Sinclair even declared that Bright was Maxwell's esteemed guest.
What?
What kind of joke was that?
Who exactly was Bright?
Meanwhile, Sinclair was looking at his own son. He was irritated to the point that he gritted his teeth.
Why had he conceived such an idiotic son out of impulse all those years ago?
He should have used contraception!
Suppressing his annoyance, Sinclair walked over to Buck and viciously kicked him in the butt.
He angrily cursed under his breath, "You worthless piece of trash! You better hurry up and apologize to Mr. John!"
Upon hearing Sinclair's words, Buck hastily crawled in front of Bright.
He knew that things had gotten out of hand.
After all, Sinclair usually spoiled him.
However, he unexpectedly kicked him.
There was no doubt that things had gotten out of hand.
When he crawled over to Bright, Buck's face was full of extreme fear.
He started blabbering, "Mr. John! Everything that happened was a misunderstanding, Mr. John, I truly didn't know that you were Master Robinson's esteemed guest. I apologize profusely, I do hope that you can forgive me for what happened previously…"
Buck's words were filled with sheer panic.
Everyone around them had expressions of complete astonishment right then.
It felt more absurd than anything.
After all, Buck was a man with considerable influence in Cartmel, and he was pleading to a young man in his twenties for forgiveness.
Something like that was just…
