Super Gene Ⅱ: Evolution

Chapter 749: Melting Planet

The final section of the Single-Horned Copper Lance stabbed onto Lin Shen's chest, but it couldn't pierce his skin. The "Life Base," thick as a baby's arm, crumbled to dust upon touching Lin Shen's body.

The broken Life Base ultimately left only a small part in the hands of the white-haired Minotaur.

The white-haired Minotaur roared and hurled the last segment of Life Base at Lin Shen, disregarding the backlash of destroying his own Life Base, and swung a fist towards Lin Shen's cheek.

The Life Base smashed onto Lin Shen's face, instantly bursting into fine ash.

The fist of the white-haired Minotaur landed on Lin Shen's face; the Carapace wrapped around it instantly turned into ash, scattering like smoke.

However, the flesh and bone fist of the white-haired Minotaur, unlike the Life Base and Carapace, did not explode upon hitting Lin Shen's face.

Boom!

Lin Shen's face distorted, and his head tilted to the side.

The white-haired Minotaur was suddenly overwhelmed with unexpected joy. He didn't understand why his fist, which was weaker than the stronger Life Base and Carapace that crumbled upon meeting Lin Shen, or even his Power of Nirvana and Immortal Laws, could not leave a single mark on Lin Shen; yet his own flesh could actually injure him.

Even the presumably unbreakable Eternal Force should shatter upon contact with Lin Shen, yet its force merely dispersed.

The force didn't vanish but dispersed.

At that moment, he could no longer consider too much, furiously raining punch after punch on Lin Shen.

His fists fell like raindrops on Lin Shen's body, knocking him about, contorting and deforming him.

This was a pure power attack. The strength of an Immortal, ten times that of a Nirvana Being and infinitely terrifying, theoretically should have exploded Lin Shen's body into a mist of blood, leaving no remnants.

Yet despite Lin Shen's body being continuously bombarded and seemingly twisted out of shape, it never shattered.

Terrifying explosions of force continuously burst in the air, sending shockwaves spreading out like rings of light.

The attacks of the white-haired Minotaur slowed from their initial frenzy, gradually losing strength from ferocity.

Eventually, the white-haired Minotaur was so exhausted he could barely swing his fists and still hadn't managed to blast Lin Shen's body apart.

The white-haired Minotaur, gasping for breath, looked at Lin Shen with eyes full of disbelief and fear.

As his attacks ceased, Lin Shen's twisted body returned to normal; not a single scar remained.

His head, once tilted, slowly twisted back. His previously unfocused eyes gradually regained their brilliance.

Watching Lin Shen's head slowly turning back, the facial expression of the white-haired Minotaur twisted, showing uncontainable panic and fear.

"It's impossible… How could such a person exist... A Nirvana Being... Why... Why…" the white-haired Minotaur roared as if mad, mustering his last bit of strength and swinging his fist towards Lin Shen's cheek again.

But this time, his fist could not reach Lin Shen's face again; a hand had caught his wrist.

The white-haired Minotaur saw Lin Shen's gaze, sharp like a blade and growing brighter. The hand that caught his wrist pulled him forward, making his body collide with Lin Shen.

Another arm rose, stretched back to the limit, then punched toward his chest.

Bang!

Above the Ultra-Burning Planet, the originally sharp-edged buildings now resembled sugar structures, melting into various bizarre shapes, dripping juices continuously like melting popsicles.

Most of the Ultra-Burn Tribe inside the buildings, amidst the terrifying high temperatures, also ignited and were burnt to ashes.

The council hall, capable of withstanding Nirvana Level strength, had also begun to melt, with liquid resembling molten iron dripping constantly.

The elders were extremely terrified; the intense heat made them sweat profusely. They dared not rush out of the council hall, still harboring a glimmer of hope.

They could sense the intense power explosions and fluctuations outside the Light Cocoon; the shell of the Light Cocoon fluctuated like ocean waves in the turmoil.

They knew that the old general must still be fighting, and perhaps if the old general were victorious, the crisis on the Ultra-Burning Star could be averted.

This was their last hope, although they knew that by now, there probably weren't many survivors left on the entire Ultra-Burning Star.

But as long as they could survive, as long as they were still there, with the Ultra-Burning Corps entering the human mother star and the Ultra-Burning Family in the development of the major cosmic races still existing, and the old general still alive, the Ultra-Burn Tribe could rise again.

For ordinary members of the Ultra-Burn Tribe, death was just that; given enough time, they could eventually prosper again.

Boom!

The council hall couldn't withstand the burning and began to collapse. A group of elders and Ultra-Burning Nobility, clad in carapaces, rushed out of the collapsing building, flying hard against the terrifying blaze.

At this point, they had no choice but to desperately rush towards the Light Cocoon wall, hoping to break through and escape; this was their last hope.

Yet their attacks on the Light Cocoon wall caused only slight tremors.

If they had rushed out without hesitation when the Light Cocoon was just formed, merging their strength, they might have had a chance to break through and escape.

But now, it was too late; the inherent strength of the Light Cocoon was increasing, and even if they combined forces, they could no longer break through.

Various Life Bases attacked the Light Cocoon wall frantically but struggled to make any impact.

Just as they were plunging into despair, they suddenly saw a large hole break open in the Light Cocoon wall, and a figure broke through and crashed in.

"The old general has come to save us!" Everyone was overjoyed, thinking it was the old general who had come back.

But when they got a clearer look at the figure, they were all stunned.

The person who had crashed through the Light Cocoon was indeed the old general, but now his appearance was completely different from what they had imagined.

The carapace on the old general's chest was shattered, revealing a caved-in chest. His entire body was bent like a shrimp, appearing to have crashed down like a meteorite, striking the magma melted ground and splashing magma several meters high.

"How... how is this possible…" The elders' eyes widened, stunned as if they had seen a ghost.

That was the Immortal Level old general; how could he have turned into that state? Who could have beaten him like this? Could it be that there was an Immortal Level being on Lin Shen's side?

Despair spread in everyone's hearts!

Yet the figure that walked in through the broken hole caused their pupils to constrict again.

The figure that had entered through the breach in the Light Cocoon, remarkably, was the flesh and blood body of Lin Shen, who wore no carapace at all.

After Lin Shen walked in through the broken hole, the hole had already returned to its original state, and no one else came in.

This forced all the elders to entertain a thought: could the person who had defeated the old general actually be Lin Shen?
