Chapter 625: Invitations
Once they got inside, Melissa immediately jumped to the student council president. "Jay. Look at Vivian. She is bullying me again."
"What? See? This is why you're weaker than me. You can always rely on your man. Even if you are the student council president, I won't back down! Come at me." Vivian harrumphed.
"Hahaha." The black-haired guy, Jay Envien, laughed. "I know, I know. No need to fight anymore."
"This place is as lively as ever." Bella smiled.
"You must be tired. Please help yourself." Another man approached them, bringing two cups of tea.
"My gosh, Joshua. You're always here to prepare for everything." Bella took a step back, startled.
"Hahaha. If you want to make a good impression, you have to prepare for everything and make people as comfortable as they can." Joshua, one of the two commoners in the student council, as well as the one managing the school's public relations, gave a gentle smile.
Evelyn stepped forth. "Anyway, tell me what's going on. Is there any work that you want to delegate after calling us here?"
Jay shook his head. "Actually, no."
"Since this place is noisy, I will go back if there's nothing else." Evelyn shook her head helplessly.
"It's not that. I wasn't the one asking you to come actually." Jay waved his hand.
"Not you? Who?" Evelyn frowned.
"It's me." Leyfon's voice echoed from the outside.
"!!!" They all turned around.
"Vice Principal?!" Evelyn crossed her arms. "Why are you calling me here, Vice Principal Leyfon?"
Leyfon smiled and raised a finger. "Not just you. Actually, five of you."
"Five of us?" Evelyn tilted her head while Bella's expression lit up. "Vice Principal Leyfon. Are you talking about that?" Your next chapter awaits on My Virtual Library Empire
"Oh!" Leyfon nodded. "You guys are so talented, so it's as expected for you guys to come."
"Heh?" Bella asked, "Who are the people invited this year, Vice Principal?"
Leyfon looked at the five letters on his hand. "In that case, let me distribute this to each of you first.
"Of course, the first one will be Evelyn Lavender. You have the best talent and your growth has surpassed anyone in your current generation. I believe you can make our academy proud." Leyfon handed the invitation to Evelyn.
"Thank you. I will do my best." Evelyn nodded.
"The second will be Jay Envien. You have worked hard as the student council president. Even though you're not the strongest academy, you are still the third strongest. Even among your peers from other schools, I believe you're still ranked among the top.
"Continue to work hard and make the academy proud." Leyfon gave the second letter.
"Thank you, Vice Principal. I shall do my best not to disappoint everyone."
"The third is Isabella Slavina. You have earned this. Although your achievement is not flashy and you have been overshadowed by Evelyn due to you sticking close to Evelyn all the time, it's not like your strength is low either.
"If you are more serious in racking up achievements, I'm afraid it's easy for you to become one of the top five strongest in the academy."
"Hahaha. I don't want to do it. If I become much more famous, it's going to be annoying. I can't hang around Evelyn as well." Bella stuck her tongue out.
"Heh. You playful brat." Leyfon took out the fourth invitation. "The fourth person will be Vivian Lorelei.
"You have done well overcoming your challenge, Vivian. At first, I was worried about you because you came from a ruined family, thinking you would be bullied. But it seems I have no need to worry about you anymore.
"Continue with your study but don't neglect your strength growth. I believe you are talented enough to pursue both paths."
Vivian gracefully accepted the invitation. "Thank you, Vice Principal. However, please… don't mention anything about my family. I have moved on already, so no need to bring up the past.
"Besides, I'm just going to become someone strong and influential enough that even without a family, people will still have no choice but to acknowledge me." Vivian harrumphed.
"Hahaha. Cheeky brat." Leyfon chuckled.
Vivian turned to Melissa while showing the invitation. "Look at this, Melissa. I'm better than you. Since there's only one more left, it will be Joshua, not you."
Melissa gritted her teeth. "What did you say? I'm not inferior to you by any means."
Vivian just flapped the invitation letter, telling her it wasn't true.
Leyfon suddenly came between them and stopped them from fighting any further. "All right. That's enough. The last invitation is given to Melissa. You have done well in overcoming your status as a commoner. Hopefully, you will be able to continue on this path and never give up.
"You are pursuing two paths like Vivian, so I hope that you two don't lose to each other." Leyfon smiled before turning to Joshua. "Sorry, Joshua. I don't really want to disappoint you, but it's unfortunate that your growth is a bit too slow to be invited. However, don't let this put you down.
"I believe with your talent, you can join next year's Rising Star Banquet."
Joshua nodded. "If I say I'm not disappointed, I will be lying. However, I know my strength is inferior to Melissa's and Vivian's. Still, it doesn't mean I will just go down without a fight.
"I will keep going until they can't ignore me anymore. And next year, I will definitely go there."
Leyfon nodded before taking out a few more invitations. "And there are still a few more people to give. Student Council President. Can you give them this invitation personally? There are a total of 15 people from our school. From what I've heard, the banquet will be attended by 100 students from all 10 schools."
"I see." Jay nodded. "I understand. Is the name here?"
"Yeah. It's in the back of the envelope."
"Got it. I will personally call each of them one by one. Thank you for your hard work, Vice Principal."
Leyfon nodded. "The banquet will be held 14 days later. Prepare your suit and dress. Make sure you look handsome and pretty. This is a social gathering, so beat them up if they are doing something else."
"Hahaha." Jay chuckled.
"Alright. I should take my leave. Good luck, you guys. Go together with the rest of the students if it's possible. I'll tell the principal that I've given you the invitations." Leyfon waved his hand and walked away.
