Chapter 1060: George’s Story Cannot Be Trusted
A few days later, Ethan and Chloe saw a familiar scene.
In the distance, nestled beside a great forest, was Brynhildr Academy, which the young man had treated as his second home.
The Flying Ship of the Firbolgs was eye-catching, and the locals of Limeburgh Town who saw it in the distance couldn't help but gasp in awe.
Their ignorance couldn't be blamed, for the Sylvan Flying Ship was far bigger than any Flying Ship they might've seen in the past, given that it was made for giants.
As it made its way towards Brynhildr Academy, several Wizards and Witches who were part of the Peacekeepers went to welcome them, so it wouldn't cause any panic to the students in the academy.
As the Giant Flying Ship slowly landed on the northern edge of the academy, Ethan saw that his sister and lovers were already waiting for their arrival.
If not for the fact that there were many people who had come to see the flying ship out of curiosity, he might have already jumped off the Flying Ship and given his lovers a kiss.
'It's a good thing I was able to monopolize him for nearly two weeks,' Chloe thought, tightening her grip on Ethan's hand as she looked at her sisters.
The moment they shared together was very special to her because Ethan didn't mention his other lovers, and it made her feel truly special.
It was like they were out on a honeymoon, creating wonderful memories together, which she would treasure for a lifetime.
Finally, when things settled down, Ethan disembarked from the Flying Ship, but he didn't let go of Chloe's hand.
By now, the students of the academy already knew about his relationship with the beautiful young lady, whose face had turned beet red because Ethan wasn't letting go of her hand despite her panicked attempts to pry his hands away from her own hand.
In the end, she gave up and simply lowered her head, so others wouldn't see how red her face was.
"Tsk! This showoff!" a Second Year said in disdain.
"I know right?" a Third Year commented. "Good thing he's not in a relationship with Luna or I might just lose it."
"Bro, what makes you think that Luna is not his secret lover? Haven't you heard the rumors?"
"Please, stop! Don't ruin my dreams!"
"Listen, you might not know this, but your girlfriend might also be Ethan's secret lover. You'd never know."
"That's it! I'm going to murder you!"
Ethan, who didn't care of what others were thinking, continued to walk with Chloe's hand in his.
His lovers, who saw this, already understood what it meant.
"Congratulations, Chloe," Luna whispered after giving her best friend a hug. "You finally did it."
"Thank you, Luna," Chloe replied.
The two young ladies gave each other a knowing glance. This was not a good place to discuss these matters, so they would wait until they returned to Dud Manor.
Professor Rinehart and Professor Barret welcomed the Barbarian Firbolg, Elmhart, and the Fey-Touched Firbolg, Faran, who were chosen as the leaders of the envoy that would meet with the King of Eastshire.
Of course, after meeting the King of Eastshire, the Firbolgs of the Sylvan Clan would also visit Southshire, Westshire, and Northshire to have a formal meeting with the Kings and Queens who governed their respective territories.
"I'm sure that you're all tired from your journey," Professor Rinehart said. "I prepared special accommodations for all of you, so please come with me."
Elmhart and Faran were about to follow the Headmaster when they sensed something very familiar in the surroundings.
The Firbolgs glanced in the direction of several women, who were looking at them with smirks on their faces.
"Fomorians!" Elmhart gasped as his hands went to the hilt of his great sword, ready to fight at a moment's notice.
Faran had also summoned his staff, ready to unleash nature magic against the race that had forced the Sylvan Clan to flee from Midgard.
"Please calm down, Lord Elmhart, Lord Faran," Professor Barret stood between the Firbolgs and the Fomorians, who had once warred against each other.
"They no longer wished for war against the Shire Continent," Professor Rinehart explained. "We already have a non-aggression pact with them, and we have formed an alliance against the Otherworlders."
Ethan had already explained to the Sylvan Clan that there were some Fomorians staying in the academy.
He thought that the Firbolgs would not react too strongly when they saw them, but it seemed that their hatred for the Fomorians ran deep in their bones.
Elmhart and Faran did their best to hold back their anger after Professor Rinehart and Professor Barret reminded them that the Fomorians were no longer their enemies.
The Firbolgs, who were also part of the Envoy, forcefully restrained themselves and lowered their weapons as well.
The purple-haired woman, Narissa, who led the Fomorians wanted to tease the Firbolgs, but Ethan's glare made her stop whatever she was going to say.
In the end, she kept her silence and gestured to her subordinates to follow her back to Dud Manor.
Narissa could tell that Ethan had changed in his time away from the academy, as he accompanied Chloe on her journey.
'He's gotten stronger,' Narissa thought as she turned her head to look at Ethan, who was talking to the two Firbolg Leaders in order to help them calm down.
The Formorian Chieftain had seen many strong people in the past, but for some reason, Ethan stood out among the rest.
"Ethan is now as strong as a Colossi," the Golden Egg, who was nestled in Narissa's chest, said with amusement. "Ahhhh! I should have gone with him. Something good might have happened while he was away! I might have missed an opportunity to become stronger!" Explore stories at empire
Narissa and the other Fomorians hurriedly tried to pacify their True King, who still hadn't hatched from its egg.
"Hmph! Next time, I'm going with him wherever he goes!" the Golden Egg declared. "I can feel that I am about to hatch. I just need to consume more life force to make it happen!"
Narissa frowned after hearing the Golden Egg's declaration. However, she and the rest of the Fomorians also wished for the Golden Egg to hatch as soon as possible.
Because of this, she didn't oppose the Golden Egg's wish to travel with Ethan if he decided to go on another adventure.
Meanwhile, back at the Flying Ship, the Firbolgs used their Magic to decrease their size until all of them were two-meters tall.
The Headmaster, and Professor Barret then decided to give them a tour of the academy, while Ethan and his lovers returned to Dud Manor.
Joanne held her brother's hand like a spoiled child and asked him to tell them everything that happened throughout their journey.
Naturally Ethan agreed, which made Joanne very happy.
Of course, his lovers were also very keen to hear the story, so they didn't hesitate to push Ethan's back so that he would walk faster, making the young man chuckle.
"Did George not tell you guys what happened to us?" Ethan asked. "He should have already spread the story after arriving here in the academy."
"George's story cannot be trusted," Lilian replied firmly. "I mean, he said that he killed hundreds of Gargoyles with a single swing of his axe. How can we possibly believe that?"
"That's right!" Samantha nodded. "George's story cannot be trusted."
"Hey! I'm right here, you know?" George said in exasperation. "Why are you girls bad mouthing me even though I'm right here?"
"That's exactly why we're bad mouthing you," Samantha replied. "We don't need to say these things behind your back, you know?"
Ethan listened to George's and Samantha's bickering before shifting his gaze to Illumina, who had also been a part of the battle in the Realm of Arkanthos.
"You didn't tell them what happened?" Ethan asked.
"I did," Illumina answered. "They just want to hear your version of the story."
The Mermaid Princess covered her lips and giggled because what she and Ethan's other lovers really wanted to know were the things that she and the others didn't see once the battle ended.
Ethan and Chloe disappeared, and no one knew where they went.
Illumina had seen Chloe's panicked expression before she and Ethan disappeared.
Clearly, something happened while Ethan was assimilating the Authority of the world, which forced Chloe to do something drastic.
Perhaps understanding what Illumina was trying to say, Ethan nodded and promised to tell everyone what happened without hiding anything.
As such, he hastened his steps until they arrived at Dud Manor, which was the safest place to discuss the things that happened in the Realm of Arkanthos.
