Strongest Maniac: Born in an Asylum

Chapter 12: These Two Legs Are His Safe Harbor

In the hospital room, the students were chatting amongst themselves. They were all still a bit dazed, unable to figure out what had happened. The doctors said they had been electrocuted.

This explanation was hard for them to accept.

They had been fine in the classroom, just watching their classmates dance. Curiosity got the better of them, and they joined in. And then… there was no "and then."

"Liam, when I touched you, I lost consciousness. Did you do something?"

"Jordan, don't accuse people."

"Let's not talk about that for now. Chen Yang said he was coming to visit us. Why is he the only one in the whole class who's fine?"

"God only knows what's going on with him."

As the students were discussing this, a voice came from the doorway.

"Hello, classmates. I've come to visit you." Leo stood at the door, holding cartons of milk and sausages.

There weren't many beds in this room; the other students were in different wards.

The room fell silent.

Dead silent.

The students, who had been chatting animatedly, all shut their mouths. To them, the most terrifying thing was that they were all hospitalized, while Chen Yang was perfectly fine, even bringing them gifts.

It was a bit scary.

"How are you all recovering? You can't work so hard studying in the future, falling asleep on the floor like that." Leo put down the milk and sausages, opened a carton, and handed a bottle of milk and a sausage to the first classmate.

"Here's some milk and a sausage for you."

Leo wore a faint smile, his trademark expression.

The classmate stared at Leo in surprise. He wanted to refuse, but as if possessed, he accepted the items. "Thanks."

"You're welcome. It's only right for classmates to help each other. Just like at Green Mountain…" Leo stopped himself. He realized he shouldn't say too much. They were all normal people, unlike him. It would scare them.

One bottle of milk and two sausages for each person.

Just like that, he handed them out, one by one.

"Here you go." Leo handed the items to Zack.

Zack thanked him sincerely. "Thank you, thank you so much, Brother Chen. I saw in another group that you beat up Tony at noon. Is that true?"

Leo said calmly, "Classmate Zack, I didn't beat him up. I just had a few words with him, told him to study hard in the future."

So, he did beat him up.

Zack didn't believe a word of what Leo said. A few words?

What could that possibly do?

He had definitely beaten Tony up badly. Even though he hadn't seen it with his own eyes, the picture of the wall was enough for him to imagine how tragic the scene must have been.

"Brother Chen, I want to follow you. Can I?" Zack asked.

Leo looked puzzled, then happily agreed. So, he wants to join me on the path of cultivation. "Alright, you can cultivate with me from now on. I will teach you."

Zack beamed, very excited.

Brother Chen has revealed his secret.

Cultivation?

How amazing would that be?

Acupuncture Therapy.

Galactic Circuit Rotation Technique.

Electro-Stimulation Therapy.

He finished distributing the items in this room.

"Fellow students, please rest well. I hope to see you all at school soon." Leo stood at the door, bidding a gentle farewell to the students.

He went to another ward.

Leo continued to hand out the items.

"I don't want it. Take your things away," Zane said grumpily, pushing away the milk and sausage Leo offered.

Leo stood silently in front of Zane, a faint smile on his face. "You need it."

Zane was about to say something, but he met Leo's gaze. It was an ordinary gaze, yet it was so cold it was frightening.

"I said, I…"

"No, you need it," Leo said, looking straight at him.

Zane lowered his head, took the milk and sausage, and then reluctantly drank the milk and bit into the sausage.

Hmm… it's pretty good.

Beep! Beep!

Zane's phone vibrated. He picked it up and saw it was a message from Zack.

"Kid, be nice to Brother Chen. He beat up Tony at noon."

"No way," Zane typed back in disbelief.

"It's true."

Zane looked at Leo, who was handing out milk and sausages to the other students. For a moment, his eyes widened, his mind in a whirl. He felt a bit dizzy.

Chen Yang beat up Tony.

That's a bit of a joke.

A female student said, "Chen Yang, can you help us open the window? It smells really bad in here. I really want to breathe some fresh air."

"Alright," Leo smiled.

But for some reason, that smile made the female student feel strange. It seemed bright, yet it was a bit unnerving, sending a chill down her spine.

On the 25th floor.

A gaunt man lay on a hospital bed, glaring angrily at the man and woman in front of him.

"You're not even hiding it anymore. You've brought your lover here. I'm already like this, and you still want me to sign the divorce papers. You're so heartless."

Leo Tiger was filled with grief and indignation. He ran a hot pot restaurant, and due to long hours of working late, his health had deteriorated. He came to the hospital for a check-up and found out he had cancer, and it was terminal.

This news had thrown him into despair.

But what made him even more desperate was that his wife, who had been with him through thick and thin, had brought her lover to the hospital, right in front of him, to make him sign the papers. This had completely broken his spirit.

"Leo, don't dawdle. Just sign it. All good things must come to an end. Besides, you don't have long to live anyway," the woman said, her face heavily made up, her hair in big waves. She looked at Leo with not a hint of pity, only disdain.

The man next to her, who was much younger, had a smirk on his face as he watched Leo, offering him a cigarette.

"Have a smoke, big brother. Enjoy it while you can. Smoke as much as you can."

"Fine, fine. I'd like to see how long you two dogs can be happy together." Leo endured the pain in his body and signed the papers with a pen.

The woman took the divorce papers, put on her sunglasses, and left without looking back.

"Ah! God!"

"Why are you doing this to me?"

Leo cried out in anguish. He looked at the open window, gathered his courage, got out of bed, and ran towards it. "I might as well just die."

The other patients in the room saw this and shouted in alarm.

"Someone's jumping!"

On the 18th floor.

Leo opened the window. Just as he was about to turn around, he felt something. He instinctively reached out the window and caught the falling Leo Tiger.

Crack!

The sound of a bone breaking.

The students in the room heard the sound and stared at the window with wide eyes.

What was that…

Leo pulled Leo Tiger into the room.

Leo Tiger, who had been ready to die, opened his eyes and saw that someone had saved him. He looked up at Leo, grabbed his clothes, and roared, "Why did you save me? Why didn't you let me die?"

"I have cancer."

"My wife cheated on me."

"Can't you just let me die?"

Leo looked at the man slumped in front of him and offered him the milk and sausage in his hand.

"Here, have some."

Leo Tiger stared blankly at Leo.

A moment later, he hugged Leo's legs and wailed.

These two legs were the safe harbor for a middle-aged, balding man.

Leo gently patted the man's balding head.

"Milk and sausages are very good."
