Striker of the Gods

Chapter 18: 18. The Pilgrimage of Caos

At dawn, Caos ran around the Torino as if he were a psycho, running at a speed of 70 km/h. His heart raced with adrenaline as he pushed himself to the limit, the cool morning air whipping against his face. With each stride, he felt a surge of freedom, as if the world around him faded away, leaving only the thrill of the chase.

In the following hours, Caos was able to stretch and prepare everything he needed to say goodbye to la vecchia signora. Knowing that it is always hard for human beings, he decided to leave in Torino. He left his Real Madrid T-shirt with the number 77 after having performed for the ad with De Ligt.

He hears his phone ringing.

"Mio sole... Come tutto va? Dai… lo so… vai lasciarmi. Dove vai? Ti amo tanto." saysm Vesta

Her voice cracked under the weight of burning love. She was falling apart, feeling anxiously suffocated in love, with flames burning her heart.

"Sto in volo. Non posso vederti l'anno prossimo. Chiamami dopo. Sto tornando in Spagna."

He didn't say I love you.

He didn't say goodbye.

He just left.

"Mi manca molto. Dani. Sei tutto per me. Daccordo,. says Vesta, in her casual, flirty clothes, feeling sorrowful that she would never see him again.

Caos comes back to Spain, where he pays a visit to Marbella. The sun glimmers on the Mediterranean as he strolls along the beach, memories of Vesta lingering in his mind. Each wave crashing against the shore echoes her laughter, and for a fleeting moment, he wonders if he made the right choice in leaving her behind.

There he goes to Carage, an official dealer in Marbella, Spain, with experience in Koenigsegg sales and service. Before talking to the coming dealer, he checks out his bank account, finding that he has not got enough money; hence, he did not contact him to go back to Madrid. As he stands on the sandy beach, the salty breeze tousling his hair, a sense of longing washes over him. The thought of what could have been lingers in his mind, urging him to reconsider his plans and the path he has chosen.

As a penalty, he decides to dribble his way to Madrid, creating the Ronaldo Dribble Chain: a 7-part dribbling sequence. The Ronaldo Dribble Chain is a 7-move dribbling sequence inspired by Cristiano Ronaldo's iconic tricks, designed to beat multiple defenders at a controlled pace (approx. 7 km/h). It combines step-overs, directional changes, and flair for match or freestyle use. He meticulously practices each move, ensuring that every step flows seamlessly into the next. With time and dedication, he envisions himself dazzling fans while executing the sequence on the pitch, just like his idol.

Caos took about 8–9 days to run from Marbella to Madrid while dribbling and performing tricks the entire way at 7 km/h. The rest of his time he spent on food, sleep, recovery, meditation, and watching matches of Eto and Ronaldinho. This journey not only tested his physical endurance but also served as a meditative experience, allowing him to reflect on his skills and strategies. Each day brought new challenges, but the rhythm of the dribbling kept him focused and motivated, reminiscent of the greats he admired.
