Starting from One Piece with the Rinnegan

Chapter 99: Chapter 99: The Power of Susanoo, the Golden Bell

After Kaito gave a brief demonstration of his lightning powers, no one dared question his strength again.

Even the usually arrogant Wyper stood quietly to the side, nervously watching Kaito, unsure what fate awaited Skypiea next.

Conis had also realized this problem, but she wasn't too worried. She figured even if Kaito became the next "God" of Skypiea, it had to be better than that tyrant Enel.

Besides, wasn't Kaito a righteous Marine?

Kaito swept his gaze over everyone present. Gan Fall and the others immediately averted their eyes, not daring to meet his.

Seeing their reactions, Kaito sighed inwardly. Am I really that scary?

He thought for a moment, then opened a door in the air beside him. From it, the Golden Lion floated out, its dull Rinnegan eyes gazing lifelessly as it hovered beside Kaito.

The sudden appearance of the Golden Lion startled everyone. They quickly noticed its eyes were the same as Kaito's and began to wonder if it was a member of his clan. But then, why summon a clansman now?

Conis studied the Golden Lion curiously and asked Kaito,

"Kaito, who is this? His eyes look just like yours. Is he part of your clan?"

Kaito didn't respond. Instead, the Golden Lion opened its mouth and, using Kaito's exact voice and tone, said,

"No. This is more like an avatar of mine. When I'm not here, he is me. I'll leave him here as the new God of Skypiea."

Conis tilted her head, half-understanding. Kaito added with a smile,

"Ever heard of a Den Den Mushi? Just think of him as a Den Den Mushi."

"I've heard a little. So... Kaito, are you leaving? Can I come with you? I want to join the Marines too!"

"Huh?" Kaito looked at her in disbelief.

This little one really is like Nami...

But seeing how young she was, he quickly shook his head.

"No. You're still too young. Wait a few more years. If you still want to join the Marines then, just tell this guy."

"Okay..."

Though she didn't argue, Conis looked visibly disappointed. She really was a sweet little angel.

Noticing this, Kaito walked up, took her small hand, and said with a smile,

"Alright then, it won't be long. Let me show you something cool!"

"Eh? Something cool? What is it, Kaito?"

"Hmm... Ever heard of the Golden Bell? How about I take you to ring it?"

"Really?! The Golden Bell is real? I want to see it!"

"Of course. Let's go."

As Kaito led Conis away, Wyper and Gan Fall couldn't stay quiet any longer. They hurriedly stepped forward. Who ruled as God no longer mattered to them—what really mattered was the unresolved grudge between their two races.

"God, please forgive our rudeness. But what of the future between our two tribes...?"

"Hm?"

Kaito turned to look at Wyper and Gan Fall. He suddenly recalled the long-standing conflict between the Skypieans and the Shandians.

Originally, this land had been called Jaya Island—homeland of the Shandians. But four hundred years ago, they were driven out. Ever since, both races had fought endlessly over the land's ownership.

To be fair, Gan Fall had been a relatively kind leader. During Enel's rule, the two sides had slowly begun to ease their tensions. Maybe today was the opportunity for lasting peace.

Thinking this over, Kaito waved his hand dismissively.

"How you live together from now on is up to you. I'll just say one thing—don't cause any trouble. Got it?"

As he finished, lightning flashed through Kaito's eyes. Both Gan Fall and Wyper flinched at the sight, quickly nodding in agreement.

Kaito's meaning was obvious: from now on, the two races would coexist peacefully on this land and simply live their lives.

Gan Fall and Wyper exchanged a glance, then both breathed a sigh of relief. When they looked at Kaito again, their eyes were full of awe. His actions had truly earned their respect.

Having casually settled a centuries-old feud, Kaito looked down at Conis and smiled,

"Conis, want to see that purple giant again?"

"Yes! That giant was so cool and awesome!"

"Heh, really? Then let's go. Everyone else, clear the area."

Wyper, who had been focused solely on catching up earlier, hadn't had time to look at the sky. He didn't understand what "giant" Conis was referring to and just stood there dumbfounded.

Gan Fall, however, looked shaken. That towering purple figure from the sky still haunted his memory. With its massive size, if it appeared here, they could all be flattened in an instant.

Not daring to hesitate, he shouted to everyone present,

"Scatter! The God is about to display his divine power!"

Divine power? More lightning?

Wyper and the others were puzzled, but since Gan Fall said it, they obeyed and quickly spread out in all directions.

Gan Fall himself retreated several hundred meters, eyes fixed expectantly on Kaito and Conis.

Earlier, Susanoo had hovered so high in the sky that he'd only caught a distant glimpse. Now he finally had the chance to see it up close.

After all, no matter the world, what man doesn't love a giant mech?

Kaito didn't keep them waiting.

His Rinnegan flared with brilliant purple light, and a 300-meter-tall Susanoo shadow instantly formed, solidifying into its complete form.

As the towering Susanoo appeared out of nowhere, Wyper, Laki, and the others were stunned speechless.

"This... what is this? Is this the true power of a god?"

Gan Fall stared at the winged Susanoo, tears streaming from his eyes.

"This is divine power! Look at those wings—they're majestic! I'll make them the new totem of Skypiea!"

Inside Susanoo's diamond-shaped headspace, Conis clung tightly to Kaito's hand, her face flushed with excitement as she looked down at the people below, now as small as ants.

Seeing her joy, Kaito smiled warmly. See? Even girls can't resist the charm of a giant mech.

He gently patted her on the head to keep her from passing out from excitement, then had Susanoo spread its wings and soar into the sky.

"So cool! Kaito, we're flying so high!"

High above the clouds, Susanoo kept ascending, bursting through layer after layer. Inside the cockpit, Conis jumped up and down, her big eyes taking in the breathtaking view.

Finally, a massive bell made entirely of gold appeared amidst the clouds.

"Kaito, is that the Golden Bell? It's so beautiful!"

Kaito didn't answer. Instead, he had Susanoo reach out a hand and make a flicking motion toward the bell.

"This time... let me ring the Golden Bell."

With that, Susanoo flicked its finger at the bell.

Clang!

A clear, resonant sound echoed across the skies.

Not just the Skypieans and Shandians below—but even those out at sea—witnessed the moment the Golden Bell rang.

On that day, everyone remembered the purple giant that loomed faintly in the sky... and the Golden Bell that tolled alongside it.
