SSS Ranked Awakening: All My Skills Are at Level 100

Chapter 165: Is this the end!!!!

[Do you want to accept the item sent by MoonWhoEatsHerself?]

[Accept it if you wish to the item]

[The cost of 1000 causalities would be deducted from your account for delivery]

[...]

The message appearing in front of Leon shocked him to the core.

He wasn't sure if she was taking this act to another level or just another troll; he might end up with nothing but an empty box.

His own heartbeat thundered in his ears as he hesitated, the world narrowing to the faint glow of the system's question.

But then, another message came which made his hand tremble in excitement.

[The cost of delivery had been paid by MoonWhoEatsHerself]

[Accept to get the item]

T-This is it

He didn't know what was happening, or how small the cost of 1000 causalities was for her. Yet, the fact that she had paid even for the delivery of whatever item she was sending gave him another level of hope—that her kink might be so strong she might go too far.

He knew it was likely terrible for her.

But did he care?

No.

She would have no use for this item anyway, so why not just give it to those who needed it?

He would have burst into laughter by now, but he waited, only to confirm if she had really sent the item he had asked for.

The faint hum of static filled the air. His palms felt clammy against the cool surface of his chair, the lingering scent of ozone tickling his nose as anticipation coiled tighter inside him.

Tapping on Accept, full of excitement, hope, and curiosity.

Just as he accepted it, a glitch in reality happened.

He felt no surprise at all; he had seen it many times. He couldn't understand the phenomenon.

A small, rectangular-shaped white box materialised in the air, and he caught it before it could even hit the ground.

It landed with a muted thud in his palm—its weight unexpectedly heavy, the surface radiating a subtle chill. A faint, sterile scent—almost like polished stone and distant rain—drifted from it as he turned it over in the filtered light.

When he held the box, the material it was made of—he didn't know what it was—yet it felt very tough and refined. The small ring-shaped box he had gotten after buying the pearl to increase his own mana couldn't hold a candle to this at all.

Can it be really true?

He didn't know if it was real or not, but just by holding the box alone, it felt as if she had sent something valuable.

Holding the white box of unknown material in his palm, which had a size that could fit two forks adjacent to each other.

Holding his breath and keeping his excitement in check now.

Slowly, using his left hand, he opened the box.

The soft click of the lid echoed in the quiet mountains. Cold air seeped out as if the box had trapped a slice of winter within, making his fingertips tingle. The black cushion gleamed with a dull lustre, velvet to the touch.

Which revealed a black cushioned interior inside the box, and at the centre of it all was a jade slip, thin and rectangular. He felt nothing from the jade at all.

Nothing.

No trace of mana, nothing.

Yet his instinct screamed at him that this was something very valuable.

But to him, it definitely didn't look like the manual she had promised him. Even then, he didn't jump to conclusions and badmouth her in his mind.

Because he didn't understand what this item really was.

He took it out of the box, and the white box, which to him right now looked even more precious than the jade slip.

It was cold to the touch, its surface plain and smooth, completely identical to a piece of real jade.

He decided to inspect the item with his mana.

With a bit of struggle, he took off his mana as it moved closer to the simple-looking jade slip to inspect it.

Just as it came in contact with the jade slip for the very first time, it happened, as if a small marble had been hit by a large hammer.

A shockwave so strong attacked his mind, not his body.

The force was too strong; he had no resistance.

A silent scream tore through his consciousness. The world spun, colours bursting behind his eyelids, while a searing pressure squeezed his temples. A bitter, coppery tang flooded his mouth as pain exploded behind his eyes.

It hit, making his eyes turn white, as he fell to the ground with no resistance, blood coming out of his ears.

It didn't just stop there—his mysterious eye, which was once white and mixed, a pupil like shattered glass of infinite colours, was now bleeding too, with his blood turning into it completely sticky red.

Once, the very eyes which represented a mystery and unknown meaning, which might be too great to learn as of yet.

Now, his own blood filled them.

His nose was bleeding, and his mouth was also spurting out blood.

A warm wetness dripped down his chin and onto his chest, sticky and metallic. The sharp scent of iron filled the air, overpowering everything else. His limbs spasmed on the cold floor, every muscle rigid with agony.

He was falling to the ground, about to lose consciousness and resigned to the fate of something which might be death.

Yet he held it.

The pain helped him gain a tiny bit of consciousness, allowing him to think.

NOOOO!

Without caring about anything, he unleashed his mana without restraint; the world around him hummed with sheer intensity, and a bright green hue enveloped his body.

The room vibrated with power—a low, electric thrumm pulsed in the air. The glow painted his body in surreal emerald, his skin prickling with a sudden rush of heat. Mana surged through his veins, burning away the numbness with wildfire clarity.

Thud!

Even then.

Leon's back hit the ground. The jade slip wasn't in his hand right now, as it had fallen from his arm by the sudden shock as he lost his grip, yet it didn't hit the ground like it was supposed to.

It floated, still harmless-looking and straightforward, like a piece of normal jade which was floating in the air, which meant no harm.

This was far from the truth for Leon.

It hovered, casting a faint, ghostly shadow on the floor. A thin, high-pitched whine emanated from it, vibrating the air so subtly he felt it in his teeth.

But the effect of the sudden life energy bursting in his body—his consciousness returned for a moment; even then, he could barely form thoughts.

A trap!!!! I will kill you, bitch, if I survive this!!

Even if it takes me thousands of years, I will find you, and when I do, I will make you beg for mercy every single moment!!

Hahaha! You wanted to kill me!! If I survive this trap of yours, your death is only a matter of time!!!

His eyes caught the jade slip floating in the air, humming with intensity.

He burned his mana like never before, then it came like he had expected.

His eyes didn't have fear in them yet, but endless hatred toward the one who had tried to kill him for no reason.

Youuuuu musttttt dieeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!

Then came another mental shockwave. Despite having the mana to heal himself physically, he crumbled before its might.

His body hit the ground as he lay on the ground, twitching as blood was pouring out of his orifices.

The world faded to a blur of red and black. Distantly, the taste of blood mingled with the coppery bite of panic, his chest tightening with each shallow gasp. A distant roaring filled his ears as if a storm was crashing inside his skull.

As he lost consciousness, he understood something in his mind—only a single line—which made his eyes widen in realization and dread of whether today was the day he would die.

As his mind slipped away, one truth blazed through the agony—a truth that froze his blood in terror. Was this the end?
