What appeared in front of Lucas was an absolute beast.

Even though it was fast asleep, its size was terrifying. Just lying down, it was already towering over Lucas like a building. Its snoring echoed through the dirt and stone cave like rolling thunder, making the entire cavern tremble.

"Is this the dungeon BOSS?" Lucas blinked, took a step back, and whistled softly. "Damn…"

One of the monster's fingers looked thicker than Lucas's entire waist. It was a giant, no doubt—but how big would it be standing?

How was he supposed to fight something like that? Should he… give it a foot massage?

Joking to calm his nerves, Lucas boldly stepped into the ogre's aggro range.

Suddenly, the snoring stopped.

The ground rumbled as the ogre opened its eyes, and with a loud groan, it stood up—rising over ten meters tall. Standing before it, Lucas felt like a mouse staring up at an elephant.

The ogre's eyes locked onto him with confusion, then rage.

ROOOAAARRRR!!

It let out a furious bellow. Its gaping mouth exposed rows of jagged yellow teeth, and a blast of hot, foul-smelling breath washed over Lucas.

"Ugh! Biochemical attack!" Lucas gagged and immediately held his breath. "What the hell has this thing been eating? Rotten people?!"

A glance around the ogre's nest confirmed it. Bones littered the ground—skulls, ribs, femurs—all jumbled together. It was hard to tell whether they were from humans or werewolves, but the putrid stench confirmed they were once something alive. Now, they were just leftovers from the ogre's meals.

Suddenly, the ogre lifted a massive club and swung it toward Lucas.

Calling it a "club" was generous—it looked more like a whole uprooted tree trunk, complete with brutal spikes jammed into it. It was huge, heavy, and deadly.

A single hit from that thing would turn a person into pulp.

Of course, this wasn't real life. Due to the game-integration system, Lucas could withstand far more than the average person—but only if he stayed sharp.

Instead of dodging back, Lucas rushed forward and tossed out a detection scroll.

Data flashed before his eyes. "It's not a Level 20 BOSS. It's… Level 23?"

He ducked beneath the swing and rolled to the ogre's feet.

"It has 23,000 HP? That's even more than that Level 25 saber-toothed tiger I fought!"

High health, high attack, thick armor… and it gets stronger when it's injured?

This ogre wasn't just a tough boss—it was a juggernaut. No wonder most players had to fight it in parties. One mistake, and you'd be flattened.

But Lucas wasn't most players.

Without hesitation, he drove his dagger into the ogre's giant toe.

A damage number popped up—3,028.

It wasn't much, considering the ogre's total HP, but Lucas grinned. "That's good enough. Let's melt this big guy."

The ogre shrieked in pain and lifted its leg, aiming to crush Lucas with a powerful stomp.

Skill: Trample

The ogre's giant foot crashed down, dealing massive AoE damage and slowing enemies' movement and attack speed.

It was designed specifically to crush close-range fighters. Once stomped, the next club swing would almost certainly finish the job.

Lucas stared up at the descending foot—massive as a boulder, fast as a hammer—but his eyes remained calm.

Right before it landed, Lucas activated his backstab skill, instantly teleporting behind the ogre.

His dagger stabbed deep into the ogre's lower back.

For a monster that size, the blade probably felt like a toothpick.

But numbers don't lie—7,542 damage exploded over its head.

Nearly half its health gone in a single blow.

The ogre screamed in agony and reached for its back, trying to grab the pest stabbing it.

But Lucas wasn't about to make it that easy.

He leapt upward, climbing onto its back, then used a powerful dual-blade skill:

Skill: Tearing and Cutting – Level 15

Lucas drove both daggers into the ogre's hide and twisted viciously. Blood sprayed out like a geyser.

Damage dealt: 6,626.

The ogre's health dropped below 30%—and that's when things got dangerous.

The beast roared even louder, and a violent red aura exploded from its body.

Skill Triggered: Blood Rage

Once the ogre's health dropped under 30%, it entered a berserk state:

+30% attack speed

+50% damage

+30% defense

If this were a normal party of players, now would be the moment to panic. The ogre's attacks were faster, its blows heavier, and even the tankiest front-liners would struggle to hold aggro or avoid being flattened.

Priests wouldn't survive a single hit. A few mistakes and the whole team could wipe.

But for Lucas? This was nothing.

Even in a rage, the ogre's movements were slow to him. Predictable. Sloppy.

He sidestepped another wild swing and readied his final combo.

"Let's finish this."

Skill: Fatal Deep Stab – Level 5

Skill: Combo – Level 1

Lucas lunged forward.

First hit – 180% physical damage.

Second hit – 150% physical damage.

Total: 330% combined damage.

The ogre's remaining health—barely 6,000—vanished instantly.

With a final roar, the ogre toppled like a falling mountain, its massive body crashing to the ground.

Dust and bones scattered in every direction as its corpse went still.

Lucas stood on top of the fallen giant, victorious.

He didn't waste time celebrating.

"Let's see what this big guy dropped," he muttered, eyes already scanning for loot.
