Chapter 18: My Boyfriend, Ryan

Ryan, on the other hand, remained calm and indifferent, saying, "It doesn't matter anymore. Everything today has been settled."

As he spoke, Ryan glanced at the iPhone 16 in Yana's arms, his expression filled with sorrow. He said bitterly, "This is probably the answer."

"This is the only thing I could afford with the money I earned from various part-time jobs, food deliveries, and side hustles. This is all I've got."

Upon hearing this, Yana, who had initially thought of it as something cheap and unwanted, now felt entirely different.

Here was a young man from a wealthy family, living a humble and grounded life, saving every penny he earned to buy this gift for someone he cared about.

Given how casually he had spent three hundred thousands on gifts and topped up a 1-million membership card without batting an eye, this hint of sadness only emphasized how much thought and importance he had placed on this gift.

"I'm sorry, Yana. This gift is really insincere," Ryan added.

Yana felt her heart melt. An iPhone 16 was already a sincere gesture, not to mention the fact that he had just reloaded a membership card with 1 million dollars.

Her first thought was that he was far too naive. Coming from a less privileged background, one would expect him to be more calculating. To be this simple-minded could only mean his family upbringing was astonishingly remarkable.

"But I really like it!" Yana said earnestly.

"And this card, it's still yours. Whenever you come, it should be us coming together," she added with a smile.

"Why do you feel the need to belittle yourself like this?"

As a top-tier manipulator with countless admirers and backup plans, Yana instinctively knew how to navigate this situation.

The manager stepped forward and said with enthusiasm, "If the two of you don't mind, allow me to take you upstairs."

The elevator leading to the Garden Restaurant was exclusive; without swiping a membership card, entry was impossible.

Located on the top floor of the hotel, this restaurant featured a starry-sky roof that retracted its sunshade at night, revealing a romantic view of the endless stars.

Upon entering, the elegant and soothing sound of piano music filled the air. The roof had been meticulously crafted into a Hanging Garden-style with flowing water and small bridges, evoking a serene, traditional fairy world aesthetic.

The decorations consisted of blue-and-white decorations and other items in the same ancient style. Though the area was spacious, seating was limited.

The central hall held only about twenty tables, while one side housed elevated seats offering a breathtaking view of the city's nightscape. Each of these high-level tables was screened for privacy, ensuring the space remained tranquil under the melodious tunes.

"Do you have a reservation, or would you like to choose a set menu?"

Ryan, a bit clueless, asked, "What's the difference?"

The manager, concerned that the receptionist might inadvertently offend someone, quickly stepped in to explain, "Honored guests, we offer discounted set menus, which are available only in these central hall seats."

"The elevated seats with city views are reserved for à la carte dining."

Just as Ryan nodded in understanding, Yana's sharp eyes landed on a table nearby. She pointed and asked, "What set menu did they order?"

At a relatively secluded spot in the hall, Kaiden and Tina were seated across from each other, already sipping plum wine as an appetizer.

Though reception staff were rigorously trained not to answer such questions out of professional ethics, the manager, swayed by money, immediately grabbed the order list and said, "Ms. Yana, they ordered the 1,008-dollar Japanese seafood teppanyaki discounted set meal."

"Let me see!"

Yana snatched the discounted menu and, upon looking at it, couldn't help but laugh.

At this moment, Kaiden also noticed them. Seeing his girlfriend, Yana, standing with Ryan—the "simp" he despised—his face darkened as he put down his wine glass.

Tina, noticing Kaiden's gaze, turned around to see the scene, her expression turning equally sour.

Tina put down her wine glass and walked straight over, her face cold as she said, "Why can't you let go? Even a plaster isn't as clingy as you are."

Facing her, Ryan felt a pang of guilt and avoided her gaze.

Kaiden also approached, his expression even darker. "Yana, why are you with this pathetic loser?"

"Why should you care? You can go out with others, but I can't?" Yana sneered.

Kaiden glanced disdainfully at Ryan, smirking, "Even if you're trying to provoke me, you should at least pick someone decent. Dragging this embarrassing loser out is just pathetic."

"I thought you had better taste than that. Showing off this kind of bottom-feeder, are you mocking yourself or me?"

Tina joined in mockingly, "Oh my, is this your new part-time gig? At least wear something decent if you're going to pretend."

"Kaiden, in that case, let's break up," Yana said with a proud snort.

Kaiden laughed angrily, "Yana, if you want to break up, just say so. I'm not your lapdog. You think you're all that, acting all shy and reserved."

He pulled Tina closer, wrapping his arm around her waist, and said smugly, "Now this is what femininity looks like."

Yana, unfazed, gave a soft, charming smile and linked her arm with Ryan's, pressing it against her full chest.

Even through her bra, Ryan could feel the astonishing softness, and he instantly felt his body weaken.

"Oh really? I have femininity too, but you're not worthy of enjoying it," Yana said confidently.

"Let me formally introduce my boyfriend, Ryan Dressrosa."

At this, Kaiden and Tina burst into laughter, their faces filled with disbelief.

Tina said with disdain, "Yana, if you're going to hire an actor, at least pick someone more presentable."

Kaiden laughed mockingly, "Yana, stop pretending. If you dare publicly claim him as your boyfriend, you'll immediately become the biggest joke of all."

Yana tossed her hair confidently. "Oh, I'll make an official announcement. Just wait and see!"

"We're in a serious relationship, unlike you two—Green Tea and Mr. Aquaman. Honestly, you're a perfect match."
