Chapter 10: Yana: Ryan Is The Most Shameless Guy
Meanwhile, in a rented two-bedroom apartment in the community across from the university...
In the living room, a sweet and adorable little girl was dressed in very revealing clothing. Her fair legs and arms were irresistibly alluring, and her skin was as white and tender as tofu.
Her delicate features made her look like a doll—so cute that it was almost criminally enticing.
Lily stared at her phone and exclaimed, "Sis, check the group chat! Your boyfriend just invited Tina to celebrate his birthday with him!"
"What???"
Yana immediately picked up her phone and looked at the messages in the group chat.
A local loser's confession and a rich playboy stealing the girl—what a melodramatic plot. The news had spread like wildfire across various campus group chats.
Yana's expression grew darker as she clenched her teeth in anger.
Lily, looking astonished, asked, "Sis, what's going on???"
"That scumbag! Just like a stray dog, he can't even hold it in for two days. And that shameless Tina is just as bad."
Yana snapped out of her thoughts, gritting her teeth. "That playboy just started dating me and couldn't wait to get handsy. So, I decided to ignore him, but I never thought he'd turn around and go after another woman so quickly."
As the ever-dutiful little sister, Lily brought her a glass of freshly squeezed kiwi juice.
"Sis, that's so infuriating. Just break up with him already."
Yana sipped her juice while adjusting her computer settings and snorted, "I'm not pathetic enough to call and confront him right now."
"That Kaiden is clearly trying to provoke me, and as for that shameless Tina, she's pathetic for throwing herself at him."
"Kaiden might look like he's living large, but the money his family gives him is actually limited. He's not as generous as people think."
"As for the gifts he gave me, to be honest, if it weren't just to keep away unwanted suitors, I wouldn't have even bothered acknowledging him."
Though she said this, Yana couldn't hide her anger. After all, she was a proud and self-assured person.
She had just publicly announced her relationship with Kaiden, and now he had turned around and started flirting with another woman. This was nothing less than a challenge to her dignity.
Lily looked at her innocently. "Sis, if that's the case, you should at least yell at him."
Yana sneered, "I'm not some irrational, hysterical woman. That guy's doing all this so blatantly, just to get a rise out of me. What an idiot."
Of course, Kaiden's plan was working. Yana was furious now, no matter what he had in mind.
By pulling such a stunt, many bystanders were eagerly watching to see how Yana, the campus beauty and official girlfriend, would react. After all, a beauty like her enduring such public humiliation was big news.
Lily, cautiously, asked, "Sis, what should we do then?"
"What to do? Just let it be!" Yana snapped.
She couldn't help but glance at the phone again and frowned. "It's that guy again!"
"Sis, you know that simp?" Lily asked curiously.
"Ryan, the number one simp of the Literature Department and the most shameless guy in the entire university," Yana said with disdain.
"How could I not know him? He's the same loser who tried to chat me up yesterday."
"I'd only heard of his infamous name before, but I didn't realize it was him yesterday. He's been fawning over Tina for three years without any response—truly the epitome of shamelessness."
"He's not recognizable to most, but everyone on campus knows his reputation."
Yana face was full of disgust. "And yet, he had the nerve to ask for my WhatsApp, claiming he's some 'devoted admirer.'"
Although there were rumors online suggesting it was a punishment for a game of truth or dare, the incident still left her feeling sick.
Even if it wasn't for that reason, she believed someone like Ryan—a country bumpkin—would never have had the courage to approach her. Still, being dragged into this embarrassing simp drama was revolting.
"Don't worry about him. I'm going to start the live broadcast."
Her younger sister, Lily, a high school student, obediently returned to her room to study. Meanwhile, Yana started her live stream and began playing the piano in front of her camera.
As the campus beauty of the art department, dancing and basic musical instruments were foundational skills for Yana. She had only recently ventured into the world of live streaming.
She believed that with her looks and charm, she could undoubtedly become a major internet celebrity. Coming from a family in decline that provided her with limited financial support, she was determined to support herself without relying on a man.
But reality is cruel.
The internet is flooded with people using beauty filters—awkward, unattractive individuals twisting and turning nervously in front of the camera. Even wearing revealing clothing didn't guarantee success.
Yana felt deeply wronged. Given her looks and talents, how could she possibly fall short compared to those others?
She couldn't swallow this humiliation and was determined to prove herself. She even ignored Kaiden for the sake of her live streaming career, though she knew full well what kind of person he was.
Despite his flashy lifestyle, Kaiden's money came from his family's credit cards, which were certainly not limitless.
That BMW of his might have fooled many, but in a school full of hidden talents, he wasn't the wealthiest. More importantly, he wasn't generous, so Yana didn't take him seriously.
When her live stream started, it was depressingly quiet, with only a little over ten viewers!
Her younger sister, Lily, was among them, and Yana recognized the usernames of more than half of the audience members—they were all classmates from her university.
"Yana is live streaming too???"
Ryan, who had embarrassed himself, didn't want to go out. He was scrolling through short videos and suddenly saw local area recommended.
Yana doesn't need to wear extravagant costumes. She looks particularly elegant when playing the piano in normal attire. Most importantly, she looks particularly natural without beauty filters or makeup.
