Chapter 159: Chapter 159: To the Moon...
"Onii-chan, is this the Tenseigan's new ability?"
"This chakra is physically manifest—it's so pretty!"
Once Izayoi returned to the ground, Hanabi and Karin immediately crowded around him again.
They circled him clockwise and counterclockwise, inspecting his Tenseigan Chakra Mode.
Then, plucking up her courage, Hanabi reached out to the greenish-blue chakra aura enveloping Izayoi and exclaimed, "Wow, such a strange feeling—like cotton. It's not warm at all."
Karin likewise felt it, marveling, "These chakra flames are actually neutral—like your Super Typhoon Serial Spheres—meaning you can transform them into any nature you want?"
Meanwhile, Hinata said nothing. She produced a camera out of nowhere, took a photograph of Izayoi's current state, and then cheerily called out, "Izayoi-kun, change that beige crown back into the old dragon horns."
"Fine, fine. You…"
Izayoi had just been about to test out the other capabilities of his Tenseigan Chakra Mode when Hinata "used his own style against him." Sighing to himself, he pushed aside his plan, changed the beige crown into dragon horns, and again floated upward into a cool pose.
Hanabi and Karin, laughing giddily, stepped aside so Hinata could snap the photo.
With a "click," she pressed the shutter, comparing it in her mind to the previous shots. "The dragon horns look better," she concluded. "That crown doesn't suit your robes."
"Onee-san! Take a picture of me and Onii-chan together!"
"Me too!"
Hanabi and Karin crowded in again.
Izayoi acceded to all their requests, but Hinata pursed her lips, camera in one hand, the other on her hip: "I'm his girlfriend, so I get to go first."
"Fine…"
Up against the aura of the "main wife," Hanabi and Karin gave in. Then Izayoi posed alongside each of Hinata, Hanabi, and Karin for snapshots, sometimes floating in midair with them.
Finally, the four of them took a group photo. Afterward, the three girls bustled off to develop the pictures, leaving Izayoi to refocus on his Tenseigan Chakra Mode.
Since this was the ability unlocked at the third (and final) fetal stage—symbolizing his leap into a higher dimension—naturally, it wasn't just for show. Quickly, Izayoi dug out the Tenseigan Chakra Mode greatest and indeed only real power.
"Chakra Orbs… Form!"
Clapping his palms, Izayoi conjured a large black ball in his hands. In an instant, it broke apart into nine fist-sized black balls orbiting around him, reminiscent of Truth-Seeking Balls.
In his past life, Izayoi had often mistaken them for Truth-Seeking Balls when watching The Last: Naruto the Movie. But in truth, while these black balls were also made with Yin–Yang Release, they lacked the extreme Seven Nature Transformations that would allow them to disintegrate everything on contact.
These black spheres are known as "Chakra Orbs."
Because they result from Yin–Yang Release plus Tenseigan Chakra Mode, these Orbs possess extremely potent creative power. Izayoi lifted his hand, and with a mere thought, one black sphere glowed blue-green before morphing into a greenish-blue ball shooting away.
After hovering in midair for a few seconds, it burst into motes of greenish-blue light. That light rose from bottom to top, gradually assembling into a birdcage fashioned of metal—formed out of nothing.
"To create tangible forms from the intangible—this is the power of Yin Release," Izayoi murmured. Then he pointed a finger toward the ground.
Another black sphere at his side morphed into a greenish-blue ball and fired forth as a beam, sinking into the earth. The soil faintly trembled, forming numerous tiny cracks that glimmered with greenish-blue.
Bits of rock then detached, came together, and built a figure about Hanabi's height—a stone statue shaped like a character from Izayoi's old childhood memories, in this case "Ultraman."
"To grant life to a form—that's Yang Release," Izayoi went on, eyes on the Tiga statue now waving at him. He spoke quietly. "Using mental energy (Yin Power), which governs imagination, to produce shapes from nothing; then using physical energy (Yang Power), which governs life, to imbue that shape with vitality. Unite the two, and you have…Yin–Yang Release!"
In that instant, Izayoi understood how Toneri in The Last had crafted a birdcage to imprison Hinata, or awakened the Hamura statue with an immortal body, plus the powers "Silver Wheel Reincarnation Explosion" and "Golden Wheel Reincarnation Explosion."
He also grasped the Tenseigan's appellation as an "eye of creation and destruction." Tenseigan Chakra Mode has only one actual function: the Chakra Orbs. And those Orbs, in turn, only have one power: Creation—enough to either create worlds or annihilate them.
Silver Wheel Reincarnation Explosion's tornado, Golden Wheel's lightsword, space-time gates, even man-made suns… All rely on Chakra Orbs. As long as one's mastery of Yin–Yang Release is sufficient, theoretically they can craft anything—even Truth-Seeking Balls.
"No wonder Ōtsutsuki Hamura managed to wield Truth-Seeking Balls despite not being a Ten-Tails Jinchūriki or having a Sage Physique," Izayoi mused. "Chakra Orbs are basically a precursor form of Truth-Seeking Balls."
He lifted his eyes toward the sky. His gaze penetrated the building, glimpsed that artificial "sun" on the moon, and locked onto a palace likely formed by Chakra Orbs.
The place presumably held further knowledge. Perhaps Hamura not only left behind "the caretaker of the Tenseigan" but also the complete Yin–Yang Release formula for merging with the Truth-Seeking Balls.
If Izayoi obtained these, then he might not even need Six Paths Sage Mode to produce the balls himself using Tenseigan Chakra Mode.
"Hinata, Hanabi, Karin," Izayoi announced. "I'm heading out. No need to save me any dinner." He gave them only a brief update before vanishing, ignoring their protest.
Hanabi grumbled, "Onii-chan's gotta be off testing a new power."
Hinata was about to agree when Karin hypothesized, "Or maybe, as 'Ōtsutsuki Toneri,' he's going to Madara and Nagato for a trial run."
"Eek… that's too extreme, right?" squeaked Hanabi, biting her lip.
Hinata patted her sister's head. "Don't worry. Izayoi-kun always prepares carefully. He'll be fine."
"…That's true." Hanabi and Karin, only just having learned Izayoi's biggest secret and real identity, both pouted. Glancing at Hinata's "big G," the younger pair felt a surge of envy.
"Onii-chan really is biased—he tells everything to Onee-chan but not us." Karin nodded in solidarity. Hinata smirked with unusual satisfaction. "And whose fault is that? You two can't be serious half the time. This is about everyone's safety…even the fate of the whole ninja world. Besides—I'm Izayoi-kun's girlfriend and fiancée!"
At those last words, she reiterated her role, happily. Hanabi and Karin glared in exasperation. Then they exchanged a sly wink, pounced on Hinata, and started "roughhousing" her "big G." Her shrieks echoed through the house.
Izayoi missed the entire scene—otherwise, he would've teleported back to stop them, then "fixed" Hinata's big G. By that time, he was already a teal blur streaking through the sky, laughing.
"This is real flight—awesome!"
Freed from gravity, capable of traveling at supersonic speed, the cold air parted around his Tenseigan Chakra aura. He felt no wind resistance or tearing sensations; it was all blocked out by the aura. "Now the sky's mine!"
He wasn't sure how long he soared. Breaking through the clouds, even out of the atmosphere, he left his home planet behind. He didn't head straight for the moon but paused in outer space, looking down at Earth. Closing his eyes, he spread his arms as though about to bask in the sunlight, feeling the cosmos.
At this moment, Izayoi finally tasted what it meant to have Six Paths–level power—true ascendance beyond normal shinobi constraints. Other so-called "super-tier" fighters would have been drained to near zero trying to get here with Perfect Susanoo or some such. Yet he'd used minimal chakra. That was the divide between "human" and "god."
He sighed. "An oxygen-filled outer space… this world is truly nonsense." Then, recalling that a clan from another planet and God Trees exist, he shrugged off the unscientific details and set his sights on the moon.
Rather than land, he flew to that artificial "sun" above the lunar surface. He recognized it as a massive barrier or structure likely formed by Chakra Orbs plus advanced sealing techniques.
Without a "key," even a super-tier could hardly break that golden barrier. But Izayoi only clapped his hands, letting his teal Tenseigan Chakra flare.
His intangible space–time skill forcibly "usurped control" of the barrier. With a flick of his finger, the gold walls split open. That was the might of [Skysway (Red)].
Passing through the rift, he entered the interior of that shining "sun," glimpsing two structures—a giant palace and a shrine containing the clan's treasure: the huge Tenseigan formed from countless Byakugan.
Before he could study the gigantic golden eye, a barrage of golden energy bullets shot from the palace. A legion of infinite puppet warriors soared forward on mechanical avian mounts, unleashing wave after wave of golden projectiles.
"Huh, opening with an attack? Maybe I've grown too powerful," Izayoi murmured, initially preparing a few green balls to absorb the ninjutsu. Then he paused, an idea striking him. Observing the swirling bullet storm, he grinned. "They're numerous enough for me to try out that move."
He clapped his hands again, condensing nine black balls the size of fists, merging them into a ring then coating them in his greenish-blue chakra flames, forming a green halo. Spinning it rapidly, he shouted, "Silver Wheel Reincarnation Explosion!"
That glowing wheel dissolved into greenish-blue light, birthing a massive tornado that roared forward. In an instant, it tore through the swarm of golden bullets.
Terrifying suction yanked the entire barrage in, swirling like the lash of a wind god. Even the puppet legion was dragged along. Those not outright pulled in were ripped asunder by the surrounding wind walls. Within seconds, that entire puppet army was obliterated.
The tornado then changed direction, slamming into the golden barrier itself. The entire "artificial sun" shuddered. Moments later, the tornado opened a huge hole in the barrier's surface and still crashed onward into the lunar terrain, blasting craters in the ground and deserted cities.
"Such destructive power!" Izayoi gasped. "Chakra conjured with the Orbs truly isn't ordinary Wind Release—though it uses chakra, it's nothing like conventional nature transformation."
"This isn't a ninjutsu—it's a natural disaster birthed by Yin–Yang Release. Does that mean Preta Path or Tenseigan Chakra Absorption can't neutralize this? Hard to say."
Another violet beam shot from the palace interior—like a laser—zipping toward Izayoi. Its speed was incredible, potency far beyond Asura Path's normal lasers.
Glancing at it, Izayoi's Tenseigan saw that it originated from "Ōtsutsuki Toneri," who stood holding a floating purple stone, from which the beam emerged. Izayoi raised a palm, forming a small green ball in response. Fired as a green beam, it clashed with the violet one.
Despite their size difference, the violet shot twisted and was drawn in as though magnetized, swirling into the green ball, now reverting to a sphere.
Any technique that was purely chakra-based—lacking the Seven Extreme Transformations—would eventually yield to chakra absorption!
