Chapter 7: Chapter 7
Chapter 7
The early morning light shone through the window, casting a glow on the power stones that Adam had carefully placed on his desk. They weren't spirit stones – they were everywhere in the original world – but the power stones of the other world were of a different kind. Their rarity here was a benefit, if only no one had questioned their origin.
Adam leaned back in his chair, his mind racing. His system notifications had been silent since his last return, as if he had been waiting to take the next step.
"Yes, no kidding," Adam muttered.
The sound of the underground city reminded him of nails. In a world full of Guardians and their powerful checks, his F-level was a shield and chain.
Adam's first stop that day was a tavern tucked away in a forgotten corner of town. The owner, an elderly Mr. Vance, didn't look up when Adam entered.
"Are you going back soon?" Vance asked in a voice that was mature, but not friendly
Adam placed a small bag on the floor. Inside were three spirit stones, one of which was glowing brightly.
Vance raised an eyebrow. "Finally decided to cash out?"
"Not quite ready. "I need information," Adam replied in a measured voice. The rare ones. "
Vance's expression changed, a mixture of curiosity and caution. "You won't find me here. Even A-rankers wouldn't see skill books if they had their own skills the same system
Adam approached. "But is it still there?"
"Like a diamond in the rough," Vance agreed. "Most people wouldn't know if one landed on their chest."
That evening Adam returned to the door, the key glowing in his hand. He hesitated, the weight of his plans weighing heavily on him. The other world was dangerous, unpredictable. But he also held the key to everything he wanted - a place to rewrite his place in both. Worlds
activated the portal and took a deep breath. The vortex opened, its rotating light casting eerie shadows across the room.
As Adam entered, a wave of energy washed over him. As he emerged, the blood-red sky stretched above, a stark contrast to the grayness of the original world.
His path was now clear: retrieve the skill books, return to the main world, and begin the journey to master the impossible.
