Chapter 949: 946: New Ridge
There were lots of reasons why the Immortal Leopard was so furious at Corey, and one of it was because the injuries he caused to him would require him to use his Immortal Mana to heal himself, and he had been preserving his Immortal Mana because the quantity of Immortal Mana in the world was extremely limited.
This was another reason why he did not use his Immortal Mana to chase Corey and Pamela. He only used his physical strength and speed which was not at its optimal state because of the injuries he suffered at the destruction of his world.
He believed that with his physical strength and speed, he would be able to catch up to Corey and Pamela who were just Tier 3 and Tier 4.
But with every second that passed, he realized that his current speed was shockingly not fast enough to catch up to both of them.
Using his Immortal Mana on a mere Tier 3 and Tier 4 was like a big slap to his face, and he was extremely reluctant to use it. He knew that there were other Immortals on this fragment of their world, and
But when he saw that even a bunch of Tier 6's chose to confront him instead of relinquish his treasure, his overflowing rage bubbled up the more.
Whether it was a Tier 6, a Tier 5, a Tier 4, or a Tier 3. They were all mortals before Tier 7, and the fact that so many mortals were looking down on him and not trembling before him.
How infuriating.
"Ever since I, Azimuth, became an Immortal, I have never experienced disrespect from even other Immortals, talk less of mere mortals who seem to be treating me with even more disrespect."
The Immortal Leopard announced his name with an utterly calm expression as he looked at Raj Brujah whose gaze became calm and determined.
The remaining members of the Brujah Clan frowned with worry and fear after realizing that their leader who was meant to protect them wanted them to fight an Immortal.
Although many had the urge to curse at Raj Brujah and escape regardless of his decision, they knew that doing so was suicide.
If they ever went back to their clan, they would be questioned, and because of their bloodline, they would only be able to say the truth in front of those with a much purer bloodline.
Once it was known that they disobeyed the orders of a higher tiered vampire, and that they abandoned a vampire that had the potential to become a new pillar of their clan, death would be more merciful to them than the members of their clan.
And if they chose not to go back to their clan, they were essentially becoming fugitives, and the life of a fugitive was not a pleasant one.
Inwardly, they all cursed Raj a million times, and many of them already made up their minds to leave Raj behind and go under a different aspiring pillar of their clan or an already established pillar of their clan.
"Don't be afraid. If we use the Thousand Blood Curse Array, we'll have a chance in defeating this beast."
The eyes of some lit up when Raj mentioned the name of the array, and confidence surged in their hearts.
However, those who were still cautious were extremely worried about their lives.
"Defeat me?" Azimuth said with a completely emotionless expression.
He tilted his head slightly, and then a completely dangerous grin appeared on his lips.
"Foolish mortals."
Before Raj or any other member of the Brujah Clan could react, the silver horns of Azimuth glowed with a blinding silver blue lightning.
Raj and the remaining members of the Brujah Clan all felt their mystic mana and mystic mana cores tremble violently as the presence of Azimuth's immortal mana engulfed the entire ridge and beyond it.
The world trembled, and every other mana in the world became sluggish and nearly unresponsive in the presence of Azimuth's immortal mana.
'Shit!'
Raj knew so many reasons why Immortals were feared, and it was not only because of an Imperium, it was also because just the usage of their immortal mana can make both astral mana and mystic mana to become unresponsive, and every non-mortal would barely be able to circulate their mana.
Only those with special and unique constitutions or talents would be able to ignore this, but the percentage of people with this sort of talent was even less than 1%.
And neither Raj or the other members of the Brujah Clan had this sort of talent.
'I have just one chance.'
Raj's eyes flashed with a cruel light, and the moment a thick bolt of lightning left the horns of Azimuth, Raj exploded into gore just as the thick bolt of silver blue lightning slammed into him.
CLAP!
BANG!
An extremely loud thunderclap shook the entire ridge, and in the next moment, a bright light exploded throughout the ridge.
From the top to the bottom, the ridge was split in two by Azimuth's attack, and it did not end there.
The thick bolt of lightning pierced deep into the ground below, and it pierced a hole through the Chained Firmament.
If not for a barrier which suddenly appeared beneath the Chained Firmament, Azimuth's attack would have pierced through New Earth, and the hole it would leave behind would along with the damage it would cause to New Earth would be regarded as a disaster.
Those on New Earth only saw a bright white light that looked like another sun beneath the Chained Firmament.
Many were awed and began to take pictures of the sight since it looked extremely beautiful, not knowing that the Universal System had just protected them from a disaster that would have wiped out billions of individuals on New Earth.
Meanwhile, at the top of the ridge which had been sundered in two, Azimuth stood at the edge of the new ridge with extremely cold eyes.
