Single Wish: Rise Of The Omniscient Paragon

Chapter 907: 904: Death?

"What? John? Huh?"

The beautiful woman with red hair, Diane had a stunned expression when she saw one of her trusted bodyguard sleeping on the ground like a newborn baby.

Thud

Another thud echoed in the room, and Diane shook due to the sudden appearance of the sound.

She looked to her left, and she saw the other woman on the floor. She was also sleeping soundly like John.

"Joey?" She said with a shaken and baffled expression.

"And that makes two."

Corey's deep voice drifted into her ears, and she looked at Corey who was looking at her with a completely indifferent expression.

She took a step back in fear. "Who- Who are you? And what did you do to them?"

Corey looked at the sounding sleeping figures of John and Joey, and he shrugged.

"As you can see, I'm giving them a very nice sleep. I'm sure they've not had that for a long time now."

The temperature in the room rose, and a hot gust of wind blew in Corey's face.

He turned, and his pure white eyes reflected the image of a dagger that was made out of flames slashing at his neck.

The dagger was less than ten centimenters from slashing his neck, but his expression was utterly calm.

His eyes moved, and in that moment, he glanced at the dagger of flames. In his eyes, it might as well be moving as slow as a crawling baby.

His lips parted open, and then he blew at the dagger.

A frigid gust of wind was released from his lips, and the dagger which was about to touch his neck frozen and then shattered into tiny particles.

"Huh?" Diane had a stunned expression, and Corey grabbed her neck and raised her with an indifferent expression.

"Just go to sleep."

Corey nonchalantly said as he held the struggling woman by the neck with extreme ease, much to the horror of Diane.

How could such a thing happen?

She was a Tier 4, and Corey was a Tier 3. How could a Tier 3 overpower a Tier 4 so easily?

Was this a monster that had arrived from the trial realm?

These questions and so many other questions appeared in Diane's mind as she tried to release herself from Corey's grip. But how could she?

Without saying any other thing, Corey blew the same sleeping powder on her face.

She struggled at first, but in less than five seconds, she fell into a deep sleep.

Corey tilted his head slightly as he observed her, and then his eyes flashed as he used Cognitum Erasure to remove every memory she had of what had happened in the past few minutes.

He dropped her, and then he did the same for the others.

He looked in a particular direction where a surveillance formation could be seen. He interfered with it, and then he approached the door and left the room.

Although what he had done did not rid him of future annoying situations with the Miracle Hunter Association, it was enough for him. He could deal with whatever happened in the future with the Hunter Association.

For now, what he was mostly concerned and interested in was what was happening above.

After leaving the room, he vanished and reappeared outside the Hunter Association.

The moment he appeared, a giant two-headed snake attempted to strike him, but Corey nonchalantly waved his hand and the heads were severed from the body.

The heads attempted to reattach themselves to the body, but their attempts were extremely futile.

How could a mere Tier 4 snake rid themselves of his Phantom Plague Axe Heart Intent?

Corey gazed at the snake for a few moments before shifting his attention away.

All around him was chaos and destruction, and Corey was a little bit surprised by what he was seeing because he didn't expect to see such a scene.

'From one scene of destruction to another scene of destruction?'

Corey furrowed his brows slightly.

'Well... It can't be compared to what I saw in the trial realm.'

This time around, a massive scorpion with red eyes shot out from the ground beneath him with its serrated maws wide open.

Corey looked down with a calm expression, and he pointed at the scorpion.

He was about to unleash a powerful fireball into the mouth of the scorpion, however, he stopped at the last moment.

BANG!

A man wearing heavy and powerful gauntlets suddenly appeared beside the scorpion in a swinging motion.

He punched the scorpion with so much force that its carapace shattered, and the scorpion flew far away, slamming into an unfortunate building.

Corey landed on the floor with a calm and indifferent expression, and the man quickly approached him.

"Hey. Are you okay?"

Corey looked at him and observed him.

The man was huge and bulky. He was bigger than Corey, and he had an extremely dark skin unlike Corey who had a chocolate skin.

He only had a black singlet on his upper body and a baggy black trousers for his legs.

He was a peak level Tier 4, and Corey could see how powerful the man's body was. It was like it was made out of metal, and he was certain that there were very few Tier 4s in Serithal that would be able to cause damage to this man's body.

'Hmm.'

Corey furrowed his brows as a pondering light flashed in his eyes, and then he finally replied the man.

"I'm good. Thanks."

Corey nodded, and the man nodded back with a solemn expression.

He was about to speak, but the building which the scorpion had crashed into moved and the scorpion slowly walked out of the building.

"Damn it. Go to the back lines. This is no place for a Tier 3. I doubt you'll be so lucky if you keep on staying here."

The man approached the red-eyed scorpion after speaking, and Corey stared at him for a few seconds before nodding.

He moved in the direction which the man had told him to go to.

However, a minute after he left the man behind, he sensed a familiar presence in the sky.

'Death?'
