Single Wish: Rise Of The Omniscient Paragon

After completely healing his body, Corey summoned the sphere of spirits that contained the ninth tribulation and the black hole that was emitting black lightning sparks.

Before the eleventh bolt fell, he made the black hole he created to absorb the lightning that was around him.

"Let's absorb the energy." Corey muttered softly, and then he closed his eyes.

The sphere of spirits was by his left and the black hole was by his left.

He raised his palms in the direction of the two spheres, and then with a thought, he started absorbing the lightning.

Strands of lightning flowed into his palms, which then flowed throughout his body.

Corey could feel his body getting destroyed the more he absorbed the lightning, but with Dream Healing constantly healing his body, his body was okay.

Usually the energy from the tribulation lightning would have strengthened his body, but because he had maximized his foundation and long reached the limit of his physical stats, he could not strengthen his body.

During the tribulation, he noticed this, and to others it might have been a source of concern for them.

However, it was not a source of concern to Corey because he had anticipated such a thing happening during his training.

In fact, he would have been surprised if his body got stronger because of the energy of the lightning tribulation.

Because of this, he had a very bold and dangerous idea.

Instead of channeling the lightning energy throughout his body, he channeled the lightning energy into his Cosmic Soul.

Doing such a thing was extremely dangerous because the energy from a lightning tribulation was meant to strengthen one's body.

Especially a lightning tribulation that was summoned as a result of one achieving a Transcendent skill proficiency.

The energy from such a lightning tribulation was meant to be used to strengthen one's body to be able to perform the skill one had reached Transcendent skill proficiency in.

But Corey had a Demi-Paragon body, and his body had no issues performing his skills with a Transcendent skill proficiency.

Although Corey had the idea of channelling the energy from the lightning tribulation to his Cosmic Soul, he needed to first analyze the energy from the lightning tribulation to know if it would benefit his Cosmic Soul or harm it.

This was another thing he was doing while the lightning tribulation was going on, and after the sixth bolt, he had analyzed the lightning to a satisfactory degree, and he knew that his bold plan could work.

With a thought, he opened his Mind's Eye which was the gate to his Sea of Consciousness where his Stars of Consciousness, Perceptual Nexus Repository, Rhea, and his Cosmic Soul resided.

Veins of black lightning pulsed across Corey's entire body, and they converged at his glabella.

Corey's expression was calm as he did something that even Immortals would dare not to do.

He appeared in his Sea of Consciousness, and then his gaze was instantly drawn to a cluster of black lightning that kept on trying to expand but azure and violet colored runes would appear, preventing them from expanding or causing any sort of destruction in the slightest.

"Master."

Corey looked to his right, and his gaze landed on Chucky.

He nodded, "You did well?"

"Hmph!" Chucky harrumphed, "Of course it'll work since we're in my domain and it doesn't have any will again."

Corey did not reply, instead, he moved closer to the cluster of black lightning that was trapped in a formation that Chucky created.

Yes, he was bold for having such thoughts, but that does not mean that he was going to go through with his idea without any plans.

During his analysis of the tribulation lightning, he asked Chucky if he could create a formation to trap the lightning tribulation, and his answer was yes.

"Let's see what's going to happen."

Corey muttered softly, and then he touched the formation and pushed softly.

The formation glowed, showing that it was a cube made out of violet and azure runes, and it slowly moved in the direction of his Cosmic Soul.

Some moments later, the azure-violet cube touched his Cosmic Soul, and the moment this happened, Corey trembled.

He could feel his Cosmic Soul rejoicing at the presence of the tribulation lightning, and then the cube along with the cluster of lightning began to get devoured.

The cube slowly sank into his Cosmic Soul like quicksand, and Corey watched as his Cosmic Soul that was like an egg with cracks on it devoured the tribulation lightning.

Corey waited with a calm expression after the tribulation lightning was completely devoured, and then his eyes flashed when he saw that more cracks began to appear on the shell of his Cosmic Soul.

However, the cracks were little and could not be compared to the cracks that appears whenever he ascends to a new Tier.

He turned and looked at Chucky who also had an intrigued expression.

"Since there's no problem, I'll channel more of it here."

"Yeah, yeah, yeah. Whatever. Use me however you want you crazy bastard." Chucky scoffed with a roll of his eyes, and Corey vanished.

His consciousness went back to his physical body, and he continued channeling the tribulation lightning into his Sea of Consciousness, and he could feel that everything well.

It took him three full days to completely absorb all the lightning he captured, and by the end of it, the cracks on his Cosmic Soul was similar to what he would have gotten after he advanced to a higher Tier.

Which meant that his Cosmic Soul would be formed at an earlier stage.

That was not the only thing he gained though. He could feel that the stores of his Dream and Nightmare Essence has doubled after his Cosmic Soul devoured all the tribulation lightning.

"Time to check my status screen."

Corey smiled, and then he summoned his status screen to see the changes that had happened to his skills.
