Single Wish: Rise Of The Omniscient Paragon

Chapter 786: 783: Leaving

The appearance of an eleventh lightning bolt was something he never expected because he was certain that he had seen only ten lightning bolts.

Before invoking the tribulation, he had made so many preparations.

In fact, the number of preparations and planning that had gone into surviving the tribulation was beyond anything one could imagine.

He had simulated up to a million times everything that could occur, and although some might not believe it, he had even simulated the tribulation being this powerful.

The Heaven Lock Array, the Heaven's Remnant Ward, Rhea's defensive skill, and the black hole he created were the most powerful defensive measures he prepared in case the tribulation ever became this powerful.

In fact, he had been doubtful that the tribulation would become this powerful and a part of him had been thinking that he had over prepared.

The black hole was the last and most powerful defensive measure he created, and it had worked just as he planned.

His over planning had saved him... At least, that was what he thought until he saw it.

An eleventh lightning bolt descending towards him with the fury of the heavens.

His eyes were wide open and his body was frozen in place as he stared at the descending black lightning bolt.

Even if he wanted to move, he could not.

A powerful pressure held him in place, preventing him from moving a single muscle. Even his mana flow was forced to stop by the pressure.

However, despite his current state, his mind was working at a speed that had surpassed any speed he had ever accomplished before.

Countless thoughts came and went from his mind, and the light of unwillingness and rage appeared in his eyes.

Veins appeared all over his body as he tried not to move but to circulate his mana.

But... He failed.

The pressure around him was too strong, and for some strange reason, it seemed like the heavens, the tribulation, the world, and the universe knew how powerful he was... Knew that he was a Demi-Paragon.

Even with everything he had, he could not circulate his mana.

'No... I refuse... I refuse!.. I REFUSE!... I REFUSE!'

'I REFUSE!!!'

Just as the eleventh lightning bolt was about to touch Corey, an armor formed around Corey's body.

The eleventh lightning bolt crashed into Corey's body.

BANG!!!

BOOOOM!!!!

SKRREEEEEE!!!!

An explosion and shockwave that was so powerful to the point that it not only leveled every single object in the Trollspire Dungeon, it went beyond it.

The shockwave travelled more than a hundred kilometers beyond the open dungeon, destroying every living and non-living thing.

It was not only the shockwave that was released from the explosion, minute strands of black lightning was contained in the explosion, and any Astral Being or low level Mystic Being that was unlucky to be in the vicinity of the shockwave was either a charred corpse or suffered grievous injuries.

The destruction and shockwave was felt by those who had been observing the lightning tribulation from afar, and every single one of them had extremely solemn expressions.

Fortunately for a lot of people, monsters, and beasts, they had begun running away from the Trollspire Dungeon ever since the tribulation began.

Back in the Trollspire Dungeon.

The Trollspire Dungeon was no more. It had become a charred and desolate land with sparse magma being at several locations.

The Tribulation cloud slowly dispersed, but for those with unique perceptions, they would be able to sense the anger and disbelief that the tribulation cloud was emitting.

Most would be stunned by this emotion of the Tribulation cloud because tribulations were not known to have emotions.

However, the person who was the cause of every single thing was on the floor with a charred body, a severed right arm, and a damn bloody smile on his face.

"I won."

Cough

Corey coughed out a mouthful of burning black blood, and then he released a strained sigh.

He looked at the clear blue sky for some seconds, and he made his mind devoid of any thoughts.

He chose to enjoy the peace for some seconds.

"I almost died."

A light smile appeared on his lips, and then he exhaled softly before calling out.

"Rhea."

Caw

Rhea shot out of his chest in the form of a raven, and Corey smiled when he saw her.

"I would have pet you for saving my life, but as you can see I can't move."

Caw

Rhea tilted her to the side while looking at Corey with a tinge of concern.

Corey chuckled with difficulty when he saw her gaze.

"Why are you still in this form by the way?"

Rhea blinked, and then she spoke.

"Cause being in a humanoid form is still strange for me."

Rhea's voice was like that of a little girl, but a tinge of majesty could also be perceived in her voice at the same time.

Corey's smile remained on his lips.

"Activate the talisman I left on your body and take me out of here. I can't sense anything but I know that some pesky people might be on their way to this place... I can't deal with them in my current state."

"Alright."

Rhea nodded her head, and then she spread out her wings, showing two silver talismans with a formation on them.

Rhea infused her mana into the talismans, causing it to glow with a dark grey light. This dark grey light was Void Force.

The Void Force slowly engulfed Rhea, and Rhea's body enlarged.

She covered Corey with her wings, and then the Void Force also engulfed Corey.

Three seconds later, they vanished.

A few seconds after Corey's departure, the destroyed and barren land of the Trollspire Dungeon remained silent.

The dark smoke that lingered from the destruction slowly began to rise into the air, and the stench of burnt stone, blood, and ashes filled the atmosphere.

Then… space trembled.

Cracks appeared in the air, and within those cracks, several figures began to step out.
