Single Wish: Rise Of The Omniscient Paragon

Chapter 464: 463: A Little Mistake and Oversight

Despite the fact that Pamela erased the traces of the battle between Gunnarr, and both Corey and her, to a near perfect state, there was something which she overlooked.

Gunnar's blood that was under Selene's shoes.

After Corey cut off Gunnarr's head, the head rolled towards Selene, and his blood flowed underneath her shoes. Although Corey had taken the head, and Pamela had destroyed all the blood with runes, what she and Corey did not account for was the blood underneath Selene's shoes.

However, to be fair, there was no way Pamela and Corey would suddenly realize and remember that Selene's shoes were stained with Gunnarr's blood despite their insanely high mental faculties.

Unfortunately for the trio, this little mistake and oversight would cause them to encounter Raegar Anacletus.

-----

As Raegar gazed at the sand mixed with Gunnarr's blood that was on his fingers, the ground behind him trembled and the sound of organized footsteps could be heard.

Some seconds later, the sound stopped, and the ground stopped trembling.

Step

Step

Calm and light footsteps broke the silence, and a pair of brown boots could be seen approaching the crouching Raegar.

Approximately half a meter away from Raegar, the brown boots stopped, and then a second later, a voice rang out.

"Sir Raegar… were you able to find anything?"

Surprisingly, the voice was that of a female!

Raegar rubbed the sand in his fingers for a few seconds, and then he stood while dusting his fingers. He turned and his eyes reflected the image of the female who spoke.

Standing in front of him was a woman with a deep scarlet hair that flowed like rivers of blood down to her waist. Her skin was so pale that it almost seemed translucent, and her eyes were a piercing, molten gold, each glance was as sharp as a blade.

Unlike the traditional armor or regular armor that was usually worn by warriors, she wore an armor-like gown woven from enchanted silk and thorny vines, blood-red in color and it flowed with her movements like liquid shadow.

Her partially exposed legs and arms revealed runes tattoos that resembled blooming flowers that were burning at the same time. On her head was a crown of crimson feathers and silver thorns that increased her beauty.

Raegar glanced, and then he shifted his gaze to her back.

Behind her was an army of men in leather armors and clothing. Their numbers were more than a thousand, two thousand three hundred and thirty five men to be exact, and the person in charge of these men was a lone woman.

This woman was Aethara Anacletus, a Dreadkeeper.

"Bring the mutts."

Raegar spoke with a calm expression, and Aethara tilted her head to the side for a second before she nodded.

She glanced at one of the men, and then she gestured with two of her fingers. The man nodded, and then he went into the sea of warriors.

Approximately five seconds later, he walked out of the army with another man. In their hands were two chains, and at the end of the chains were extremely strange abominations.

These abominations had six legs. Four resembled that of a dog's leg, while the other two resembled that of a human's legs.

The abominations had three heads, and these heads were different from one another.

The left head was that of a black wolf with deep crimson eyes. The middle head was that of a dog with gray eyes, and the last head was that of a white wolf with pure black eyes.

Although these heads looked normal, one just had to look at the back of the three heads to realize that the three heads were anything but normal.

Behind the three heads were human faces with three different expressions.

The face on the black wolf was that of an adult male with an expression of immense hate.

The face on the dog was that of a crying child with tears.

And the face on the white wolf was that of a woman smiling in madness.

These abominations were called Scentchasers, and just like the name, they were used to track people through their scent.

There were four of these abominations, and the two Tainteds holding the chains that bound the Scentchasers stood in front of Raegar with their head hung low.

Raegar gazed at the two Tainteds, and then he gestured towards the blood stained ground.

"Track the scent over there."

The Tainteds nodded, and without wasting a single second, they brought the Scentchasers to where Selene stood. Just like dogs, they sniffed the ground for a few seconds, and then they started barking while trying to run in a certain direction.

However, the Tainteds stopped them by pulling hard on the chains. They turned toward Raegar and Aethara, and when they saw Raegar nod, they instantly let go of the chains.

Instantly, the Scentchasers bolted at a speed that would put most tier 3s to dust.

'So they went to the Raging Sky… I wonder what they plan on doing there.'

Raegar shifted his gaze away from the Scentchasers, and then he took a step forward. His body vanished and in the next instant, he appeared above the Scentchasers and he effortlessly followed the abominations.

As Raegar followed the abominations, Aethera turned toward the army, and then she spoke.

"Make sure to keep up while being orderly."

Although she spoke softly, every single warrior heard her voice clearly, and they immediately stomped their feet on the ground.

BANG!

"Sir! Yes Sir!"

The ground rumbled and the air shook, but Aethera's expression remained unchanged, one of indifference and calmness. Without giving a response, she turned and started floating in the air.

A second later, her body moved and she started flying at a seemingly slow speed. However, although it seemed like she was slow, the distance she was covering was mind boggling for such a speed.

The army took a step forward, and then they started sprinting in order.

As all of these was happening, Corey, Pamela, and Selene had reached the Raging Sky.
