Single Wish: Rise Of The Omniscient Paragon

Chapter 462: 461: Old Man

"Poison?!"

Corey nodded after hearing Pamela and Selene's exclamation. He shifted his gaze from the poisons in his hand to both girls.

"This is a colorless and odorless poison that causes paralysis. It also causes deterioration of the mind and if one inhales it for too long, the person would either hallucinate or fall into a coma. Unfortunately, the odor of the poison can only affect average tier 3s and below. To affect a tier 4, the tier 4 has to consume the poison."

Corey brought the vial of colorless liquid close to his face and stared at it with a pondering light in his eyes.

A few seconds later, he looked at Pamela and Selene who had wary expressions as their gazes alternated from his face to the poisons in his hands. He smiled when he saw this.

"Although this cannot affect tier 4s and above... If I do this…"

To Selene and Pamela's disbelief, they saw Corey open the vial and then he poured the colorless liquid on the ground.

They both instinctively took a step back. It was a natural instinctive fear of something as dangerous and lethal as poisons.

Meanwhile, without caring about Selene and Pamela's reactions, Corey continued speaking.

"If I do this, the poison would spread faster, however, it's still not enough to harm a tier 4… This is where this comes in…"

Corey raised the dark green bead, and then he crushed it to fine powder.

"When the two poisons come in contact with one another, they neutralize themselves and they become inert poisons. They become so subtle to the point that not even tier 5s would be able to notice the presence of the poison… If a tier 6 does not actively search for it, then he or she would not notice it."

"The combination of the two poisons does no harm to those that have inhaled it, however, I can change this at a whim."

Corey smiled, and Selene and Pamela had wary expressions on their face as they gazed at Corey's smiling face.

"Uhmm… So are we also poisoned?"

Selene with an unsure tone while gazing at her hands with a tinge of wariness and fear. Although she had checked her body multiple times, she found nothing wrong with her body.

There was not a single sign of poison in her system, however, she did not dare to lower her guard since this could also be a unique ability of Corey's poison combination.

Who knew if the poisons could hide themselves so well to the point that she'd not be able to sense it?

"Don't worry about the poisons, you guys would not be harmed by it."

Corey said with a smile, and then he blew the crushed dark green bead into the air. The wind carried the powdery dark green poison, and Corey dusted his hands with a light smile.

'Old Man Poison would be happy seeing me fight like a poison expert for the first time since I became his disciple… I'm a Poison Warlock with a Poison Infinity Crystal in me, I should fight more with my poisons.'

Although Corey wished to utilize poisons in his future battles, he knew that it was wholly dependent on the enemy or enemies he faced in the future.

For instance, if he ever fought a being like the Capra King or Gunnarr, none of his poisons would be effective in battle.

The best poisons he could currently make could kill tier 4s and harm tier 5s. His most dangerous poisons could not kill tier 5s, only harm them, and Corey was genuinely unsatisfied with such a thing.

His combat power without using poisons was high enough to kill most tier 4s and he could also fight some tier 5s. In instances where his skills and abilities were not enough for him to win a fight, he wanted his poisons to be able to make a difference.

For example, in his fight against the Capra King, if he had a poison that could affect the Capra King, the fight would have been much easier for him.

Unfortunately, creating poisons that were powerful enough to affect the Capra King was out of his league. His major obstacles were handling the mystic energy that the poison would contain and his insufficient poison resistance.

His control over mystic energy was extremely poor because he was just a tier 2 which made the concoction of poisons that could affect mystic beings extremely difficult for him to make.

Also, the poison would definitely kill him while concocting it because his poison resistance is not high enough to ignore such a powerful poison.

'Well, I'll find a way to make more use of my poisons in the future.'

After having this thought, Corey turned towards Pamela and Selene.

"Let's go."

Pamela and Selene nodded. Although they knew that they had wasted some precious minutes, they were not bothered because they knew that they'd most likely still have to face the army of the Anacletus clan.

They had just killed a Dreadkeeper of their family, and they were certain that the Anacletus clan would not take it lightly.

"So, how are we escaping?"

Pamela asked with a calm tone, and Corey approached Selene. He grabbed her waist and Pamela raised her brows slightly. She glanced at Selene and she noticed that Selene was slightly taken aback by Corey's actions.

"We teleport close to the Raging Sky, and then we either run or walk so that we can recover our mana and energy. It'll be faster."

Pamela blinked in surprise, and then she nodded.

Corey turned to his left and gazed into the distance. Reflecting in his pupils were dark clouds that constantly flashed with different colors of lightning.

'Why do I feel like things are going to turn out shitty this time around?'

Just as Corey had this thought, he glanced at Pamela, and then he circulated the mana in his mana veins and teleported both him and Selene.

A second later, Pamela also teleported away.

Approximately four minutes later, an old man appeared in their previous positions. He looked around with a deep frown, and then he mumbled.

"Gunnarr died?"
