Chapter 134: Chapter 92: A Sorcerer’s Way of Fighting!

Chapter 92: A Sorcerer's Way of Fighting!

As dawn approached, Jane and Dr. Erik Selvig arrived at the temporary research facility to retrieve Thor.

To aid his escape, they had even prepared a fake identity for him.

Despite Agent Coulson's repeated assurances that Thor had stayed voluntarily, the pair remained skeptical. Left with no choice, Phil arranged a meeting between them and Thor.

When they met, Thor explained everything to them.

Both Jane and Dr. Selvig were shocked by his revelations but expressed their understanding, admitting they needed time to process the overwhelming information.

Jane found it unbelievable that she had fallen for a god.

Thor glanced at Jane quietly.

The atmosphere between them grew slightly awkward.

"You haven't seen Mjolnir yet, have you? I can show you," Thor offered, breaking the silence.

As he led them to the area where Mjolnir rested, Thor couldn't resist boasting about the hammer.

"The head of Mjolnir is forged from Uru, a unique Asgardian metal capable of storing massive amounts of energy."

"Its handle is made from a branch of Yggdrasil, which has immense magical affinity."

"The hammer was forged using the core energy of an entire star, and it carries my father's enchantments and divine power."

Thor's voice faltered as he spoke.

Although he knew his father might not have died, the loss of his worthiness still weighed heavily on him.

Soon, Jane and Dr. Selvig stood before the legendary Mjolnir.

Their scientific curiosity got the better of them, and they immediately approached the hammer, studying it intently and momentarily forgetting Chu Yang's presence.

"What a magnificent masterpiece," Jane praised Mjolnir without hesitation, reaching out to touch it.

Dr. Selvig stopped her and turned to Thor. "Is it dangerous to touch it?"

Thor explained, "It's not dangerous. You can even try lifting it, though it's impossible."

Jane, unwilling to believe that, gripped Mjolnir's handle and pulled with all her strength.

Chu Yang watched with interest.

This was the future Lady Thor—what if she actually managed to lift it?

Unfortunately…

Mjolnir didn't budge.

After several minutes of futile effort, Jane gave up, complaining, "It's so heavy! Is this what you fight with? Isn't it exhausting?"

Thor laughed proudly. "Of course not! I am Thor, Asgard's mightiest warrior!"

As their conversation grew flirtatious, Chu Yang decided to leave the two of them some space.

As he exited, Phil Coulson collided with him head-on.

Phil stumbled as though he had hit a steel wall, stars dancing in his vision.

"What's the rush?" Chu Yang asked curiously.

"I was looking for you," Phil said seriously. "A strange figure just flew in, something resembling Tony's armor, and it's causing chaos outside. You'd better check it out."

Phil then led Chu Yang outside the temporary research facility. A hooded agent was using a bow and arrows to fend off the humanoid armor Phil had described. Smoke filled the air, and numerous soldiers and agents lay injured. Even several tanks had been destroyed.

Chu Yang observed the armor hovering mid-air for a few seconds before shaking his head. "That thing isn't Tony's mechanical suit. It's emanating a strong magical presence."

Phil's expression shifted. "Is it something from Asgard?"

Chu Yang smirked. "Clearly. It's here to silence Thor permanently—by killing him."

The Destroyer armor was Asgard's most formidable weapon. Current Earth-based weaponry couldn't effectively damage it.

Seeing this, Phil immediately called for backup.

Chu Yang glanced at the archer holding off the Destroyer and realized it must be Clint Barton, a.k.a. Hawkeye, S.H.I.E.L.D.'s famed marksman on par with Natasha Romanoff.

Hawkeye's custom arrows were impressive but were akin to fireworks against the Destroyer, leaving not even a scratch.

The fact that he could temporarily restrain the Destroyer was a testament to his extraordinary archery skills.

As Phil called for reinforcements, the Destroyer began charging energy beams for an area-wide attack.

Powered by Odin's divine energy, magic, and soul force, the Destroyer had an almost limitless energy supply, allowing it to launch sustained large-scale attacks without any sign of depletion.

Agents and soldiers scrambled for cover.

"What should we do? Reinforcements will take time to arrive," Phil asked anxiously. "Can you hold it off for a bit? At this rate, no one here will survive."

Chu Yang glanced at him. "I'm just a student…"

Phil gave a bitter smile. "I know, but there's no one else who can handle this."

Chu Yang shook his head. "I refuse to be guilt-tripped."

Phil was desperate, his eyes reddening.

Chu Yang finally relented with a smirk. "There'll be extra pay, right?"

Phil froze for a moment before replying, "Yes!"

Satisfied, Chu Yang walked toward the Destroyer.

"Aren't you a sorcerer? Why are you going in person?" Phil called out, alarmed. If anything happened to Chu Yang, it would strain S.H.I.E.L.D.'s relationship with Tony Stark and jeopardize Nick Fury's Avengers Initiative.

In the next instant, lightning surged around Chu Yang.

Strange symbols appeared on his face like a mask. Invisible layers of Haki enveloped his entire body.

With a deep breath, his heart raced, body temperature rose, and the world seemed to slow around him.

Activating Lightning Armor, Sage Mode, Armament Haki, and Origin Breathing, Chu Yang combined four powerful techniques at once.

Facing the Destroyer, Chu Yang was as cautious as he had been against Gin Ichimaru.

Seizing the moment when the Destroyer was targeting Hawkeye and the agents, Chu Yang charged forward with twin wooden swords, unleashing his blade techniques.

His recent training in the Demon Slayer world had significantly advanced his swordsmanship. Combining the Sun and Moon Breathing Techniques, Chu Yang created an entirely new style.

This was its debut: Origin Breathing – First Form: Sun-Moon Rotation.

A dazzling light surged toward the Destroyer, forcing it to shift into a defensive stance. A golden barrier shimmered into existence.

With one sword ablaze with golden flames, Chu Yang struck the barrier.

Ripples spread across the surface, cracks forming but not breaking through.

Twisting his waist, Chu Yang followed with his other blade, imbued with dark energy, like tranquil moonlight.

The combined powers of sun and moon created an unimaginable force.

The Destroyer's barrier shattered with a deafening explosion, the impact sending vehicles and people flying like a storm had hit.

Phil and Hawkeye stared, dumbfounded.

"Is that how sorcerers fight?" Phil muttered.

The commotion startled Thor and Jane, who rushed out just in time to see the Destroyer sent flying through a cloud of dust.

Hovering mid-air, Chu Yang shone with the light of lightning, the sun, and the moon. To Thor, Chu Yang seemed more like a god than himself.

Swallowing hard, Thor asked Phil, "Is he really a sorcerer?"

Phil looked just as puzzled. "Don't ask me. It's my first time seeing this too."

As they spoke, the Destroyer stood again, its armor showing only minor scratches.

Locking onto Thor for a brief moment, the Destroyer then shifted its attention to Chu Yang, deeming him the greatest threat.

Even Loki, controlling the Destroyer remotely, was momentarily taken aback by Chu Yang's display. Deciding to eliminate this human first, he sent the Destroyer soaring into the air to resume its battle with Chu Yang.

Phil took the opportunity to evacuate the remaining personnel, while Thor stared at the ongoing battle, his frustration and anger boiling over.

"This Destroyer was sent to kill me," he muttered.

"I know, but what can you do?" Jane asked urgently.

"I am Thor, son of Odin, heir to the throne of Asgard. As the God of Thunder, I cannot flee in cowardice, nor shirk my responsibilities onto others!" Thor declared, his emotions erupting.

"You're absolutely right, Thor!"

A familiar voice called from behind him. Thor turned around, his eyes lighting up with unconcealed joy.

His closest friends and comrades had suddenly appeared.

Sif, Fandral, Hogun, and Volstagg.

The latter three, known as the Warriors Three of Asgard, were Thor's trusted companions.

Sif, the sole female member of their group, was also a renowned Asgardian warrior in her own right.

Seeing them rekindled Thor's hope and strength.

The four of them stepped forward to explain the current state of Asgard to Thor.

Odin had fallen into the Odinsleep, and Loki's odd behavior mirrored the suspicions that Chu Yang had previously voiced.

"He was right about everything!"

Thor turned to look at Chu Yang, his eyes filled with a mix of shock and newfound respect.

Thor made a silent resolution.

After understanding the situation, Thor's friends immediately stepped up to assist Chu Yang in holding off the Destroyer.

Ignoring Jane's pleas, Thor returned to the research lab, reaching out for Mjolnir.

"Mjolnir, recognize me again. Allow me to fight as the God of Thunder, to stand beside them and protect everyone here..."

Thor softly prayed.

Meanwhile, despite the combined efforts of Chu Yang and the four Asgardian warriors, they could only suppress the Destroyer's movements—they couldn't defeat it outright.

After all, Chu Yang's dual blades, crafted from wood using his Wood Release ability, struggled to penetrate the Destroyer's impenetrable armor.

The Destroyer, as Asgard's ultimate weapon, was crafted from the same material as Mjolnir.

It had even battled alongside Odin against Celestial-level enemies in the distant past.

"My mastery of Conqueror's Haki isn't strong enough. Otherwise, even with wooden blades, I could have damaged it," Chu Yang calculated silently. By now, the God of Thunder should have reclaimed Mjolnir, no matter how rusty he was.

The thought flashed through his mind. The next moment, a deafening thunder erupted from the research lab.

Chu Yang exhaled in relief, while the other four warriors beamed with joy.
