Sign-in System: Starting With Light Holy Dragon (Douluo Dalu Fan-fic)

Chapter 6: SS - 6

Chapter 6 Potential to Absorb Millennium Soul Ring

"Hey! Where are these two beggars from?" Wang Sheng, a burly boy, stood up from his bed and walked toward Su Xiao and Tang San. "My name is Wang Sheng, and I'm the boss of this dormitory! If you two don't agree, fight me for it!"

Su Xiao casually tossed his luggage onto an empty bed and waved his hand dismissively. "I'm not interested. You can keep your boss title."

Wang Sheng's expression stiffened, but he quickly shifted his attention to Tang San. "What about you?"

"I don't want to fight either," Tang San replied calmly, walking toward another empty bed.

But before he could settle in, Wang Sheng grabbed his shoulder. "Well, I want to fight!"

Tang San's grip tightened slightly, and Wang Sheng's face immediately flushed as his body trembled. Tang San's strength was akin to an adult's, far surpassing Wang Sheng's.

"If you win, will you be the boss?" A sweet voice suddenly interrupted from the doorway.

"Of course!" Wang Sheng managed to growl, still struggling under Tang San's grip. "Whoever's strongest is the boss!"

The girl stepped into the dorm with an air of confidence. "No need to make it complicated. Why don't the three of you fight me together?"

Without waiting for an answer, she leapt forward and kicked Wang Sheng in the head. Tang San released him, and Wang Sheng went flying, crashing onto Su Xiao's bed.

"Don't you dare!" Su Xiao shouted, but it was too late.

Crack!

The already fragile wooden bed gave way under Wang Sheng's weight, collapsing entirely.

Su Xiao clenched his fists, glaring at the girl and Wang Sheng. "You little troublemakers have gone too far!"

"Who are you calling troublemakers?" The girl immediately turned her attention to Su Xiao, her face defiant.

She lunged at him, aiming a kick at his lower body. Su Xiao's hands glowed faintly as he used Controlling Crane, Capturing Dragon to redirect her momentum while the subtle strength of Mysterious Jade Hand ensured he didn't take the full brunt of her strike.

The girl pushed off the ground with her hands and launched herself back at him, her movements more aggressive this time. Su Xiao crossed his arms to block, lifting them slightly to deflect her kick and push her away. The two quickly distanced themselves.

"Enough!" Su Xiao raised a hand. "You win. You're the boss of this dormitory."

"Hmph, at least you know your place," the girl said smugly before turning to Tang San. "And you?"

"I have no problem with it either," Tang San replied, uninterested in continuing the fight.

"Good! From now on, I'll take care of all of you in dorm seven!" She clapped her hands in satisfaction. "My name is Xiao Wu, and you'll call me Sister Xiao Wu!"

Su Xiao didn't bother with her antics. The system had chimed in at that moment when Wang Sheng flew into his bed, so he didn't have time to react.

Now, he could focus on the system.

[Sign-in location refreshed: Dorm Seven, Nuoding Junior Soul Master Academy.]

[You have reached the sign-in location. Do you want to sign in?]

'Sign in,' Su Xiao thought silently.

[Congratulations on obtaining a one-star reward. The upper limit for absorbing soul rings has been increased by six hundred years.]

'One-star reward?' Su Xiao frowned slightly. 'Does the system categorize rewards by stars?'

[Yes, rewards range from one to ten stars, with ten being the highest.]

'And the Light Holy Dragon Martial Soul?'

[Eight stars.]

Su Xiao nodded in understanding. Even a one-star reward seemed remarkable. The system had extended his soul ring absorption limit by six hundred years, allowing him to absorb a thousand-year soul ring for his first ring—a feat unheard of in the Soul Master world.

"Xiao San, get some rest. Teacher will likely take us to get our soul rings tomorrow," Su Xiao reminded, glancing at the broken remains of his bed.

"Ah Xiao, your bed..." Tang San hesitated. "Why don't you share mine?"

Su Xiao grinned mischievously. "Whoever broke my bed should take responsibility, don't you think? Classmate Wang Sheng?"

Wang Sheng, who had just regained consciousness, shivered under Su Xiao's gaze. He muttered a quiet apology and began gathering the broken planks.

Meanwhile, Xiao Wu and Tang San set up their beds, which ended up side by side, subtly hinting at a budding camaraderie among the three new students.
