Chapter 1663: Can you do it?
"Si!"
Everyone took a cold breath when they heard this, but their expressions soon changed.
There were a few people that had looks of doubt on their faces after they recovered from their shock.
It wasn't that they didn't want to believe, it was just that this was a bit hard to believe.
I wasn't surprised to see them look at me like this since I knew that I had sounded suspicious with the way that I said it. Especially since I didn't tell them how I came to this conjecture.
But it wasn't as if I could actually tell them…
Since it was actually just a guess on my part.
I figured that it wouldn't be as simple as them just opening the array to summon the Apostle of Destruction and their forces to invade the Mofu Mofu Kingdom. After all, it would have been a waste of this array if that was all that they were using it for.
But whether it actually had the ability to break the seal or not…
Regardless, it seemed like something that was possible.
As such, it wasn't as if this was a complete lie.
It would certainly light a fire under everyone and would make them more determined to take down that Apostle of Destruction.
Seeing that I didn't look away or say anything, those looks of doubt slowly started to disappear. But it was also clear that there was something else that they were worried about as they looked at me.
It was as if there was something that they wanted to say, but they didn't know how to say.
"Do you think that we can actually do it?"
King Kashou was the one that spoke for everyone in the end.
He didn't even hesitate as he asked this.
But it wasn't because he lacked tact, it was because he knew what had to be asked and didn't shy away from it.
The fact that he asked this was a show of the personality that he had shown during this time.
I didn't say anything at first, which seemed to make them a bit more worried.
But then I said, "I've gained something from being chased down by that Apostle of Destruction. I almost died at their hands, but I can say that I've also become stronger because of it."
"However, are you strong enough to take that Apostle of Destruction down?" King Kashou asked again without any hesitation.
A smile slowly appeared on my face before I said, "Well, I've gained a new power because I almost died at the hands of the Apostle of Destruction. I can't guarantee that it will be enough to take it down, but I can guarantee that it'll be different this time."
Then with a more serious look, I turned to look at the others and said, "Plus with the support of everyone, I'm certain that we'll be able to take down the Apostle of Destruction together."
There was a brief silence that followed after I said this.
But then there were determined looks that appeared on everyone's face.
It was unknown who it started with, but it didn't take long before they all filled with determination.
There was a reason why they had come all this way with me in the first place.
After all, they had gathered to face the corruption energy. They had only come because they wanted to take care of the corruption energy that was here
They knew what letting this corruption energy spread would cause, so it wasn't as if they would back down now.
Once this determined look spread across their faces, they didn't waste any time in taking care of the rest.
They all went off to contact the different races and their leaders.
It would only be a matter of time before the main forces of the racial alliances came to the Mofu Mofu Kingdom.
This couldn't happen before since it would have been considered an invasion of the land of the demi humans. But at this point, there really wasn't any time to consider this now that the Mofu Mofu Kingdom was about to be destroyed.
If they didn't have this support from the racial alliance, then they would be destroyed by the forces of Destruction.
So the only thing that mattered now was bringing everyone in to defeat the forces of Destruction.
Only with the full force of the racial alliance would they be able to take down that Apostle of Destruction and those corruption energy monsters.
Once they were gone, King Kashou's expression changed.
He had forced himself to show that confident look when everyone was here, but now that they were gone…Even though I was still here, it didn't seem like he minded showing me that expression of his.
In fact, it even seemed like he was deliberately showing me this look.
I understood that he trusted me because of this, but I couldn't help feeling a bit worried when I saw him like this.
After all, it almost seemed like he was planning on giving up.
I didn't say anything as I waited for King Kashou to say something, but it didn't seem like he was going to do so with the way that he acted.
Eventually, he said with a sigh, "Do you really think that this will work out?"
I knew exactly what he was thinking about when he said this.
After all, in a way, we were in the same position.
He was a king that was facing the destruction of his country, so I knew that he was feeling worried not for himself, but for his people. He was worried about letting his people down.
While I had never been in the exact same situation, I had felt the same way as him because I was a king that had been forced into his position.
I was someone that just wanted to do the best for his people as well.
Patting him on the shoulder, I said, "We'll do all that we can. I can't guarantee that it'll turn out well, but we will all do our best to help you and the Mofu Mofu Kingdom."
King Kashou still had the same worried look, but at least he gave a nod in response.
