Sarutobi smiled slightly. He glanced at Mizuno, who nodded.

It was just a delaying tactic.

Mu might not have survived the battlefield at all; otherwise, he wouldn't have been easily resurrected in the Fourth Shinobi World War. By diverting the Senju clan's attention to Mu, Mizuno needed to buy Sarutobi more time to secure help.

"I need to leave immediately to find the Daimyo," Mizuno said.

Sarutobi was taken aback. "The Daimyo? Will they... support me?"

Yes, Sarutobi had considered this path, but neither in terms of authority nor status did the Daimyo have any reason to abandon the Senju clan and support him instead.

Mizuno looked at the future White Fang's profile. "I just think he has a lot of potential."

Sarutobi eventually agreed. He kept only Homura Mitokado and Koharu Utatane from his original team, leaving the rest to Mizuno.

That night, a near-fight broke out within the Uchiha clan.

"I know you're angry," Uchiha Untai said, looking at Uchiha Kagami, who had just been restrained by his retainers.
