Haruno couldn't quite believe it, they'd actually been cursed by a bakeneko.

"…Seems like it died."

Now that they had found a way to lift the curse, Yukino breathed a sigh of relief. As long as they could return to being human, it was fine.

Although cats were cute, who would really want to live the rest of their life as one?

Not to mention, cats also had fixed mating seasons...

"Let's go home, Yukino! Dad will definitely recognize us!"

Hearing her sister's words, Haruno fell silent. Shin-chan lived right next door, and honestly, he did seem like their only choice now.

Nanako was living in a university dorm, sneaking in would be tricky. Better to try Shin-chan first. Maybe… maybe he really would recognize Yukino?

And if he could, handing Yukino over to him might not be such a bad idea…

Having settled on going to Shin-chan, Yukino relaxed a little and began enjoying the odd sensations of being a cat. With just a light jump, she leapt down from the bed.

"Don't go running around!"

Haruno wasn't yet used to a cat's body, she walked clumsily and couldn't match Yukino's agility at all.

"Sis, you're so clumsy."

Being able to outdo Haruno for once made Yukino incredibly happy. She jumped up onto the bedroom desk and licked the water in a cup, fully displaying a cat's elegance and cunning.

"Sis, what exactly happened at home?"

Yukino chose this moment to ask the question. Haruno had no way to ignore it, maybe they really would have to live out the rest of their lives as cats together?

The Shinomiya family didn't directly target the Yukinoshita family. They just wanted to expand in Chiba, but even that pressure had left the Yukinoshita house struggling to stay afloat.

"Sigh. Back at the temple, my wish was to solve that issue. What was your wish, Yukino? Don't tell me it was to become a cat?"

"Sis, can we not joke around at a time like this? Come help me open the door."

Yukino's wish had been to understand how Shin-chan viewed her, whether he truly considered her a dear friend.

She hadn't expected that she'd be tested so soon. Would he be able to recognize her?

The apartment's security door required a bit of strength to open. The cat-girl sisters worked hard for a while before they finally got it open.

"Even if Shin-chan can't hear, Shiro definitely can."

The door opened. And it was Shiro who opened it.

"Huh? Are you here to see Shin-chan?"

Seeing two cats at the door, with very familiar scents, Shiro was stunned again. 'What's with all the weird stuff today? Are we doing another movie arc or what?'

The Yukinoshita sisters were just as shocked. So they could understand not only each other's speech, but dog language too?

"Shiro, you can understand what I'm saying?"

"Aren't you Miss Yukinoshita from next door? Why are you a cat now?"

"Can we come in to talk? We need Shin-chan's help."

Shiro nodded and stepped aside. The Yukinoshita sisters, now two cats, successfully entered the room.

"Master's still watching TV. I just finished cleaning and happened to hear you banging the door. I thought it was a false alarm, but luckily I came to check."

'Cleaning? Is the world this crazy now?' Haruno widened her eyes. Could this dog have been cursed too, like them? A dog demon's curse?

"With a master like that… it must be hard on you."

The last time she saw Shiro running errands for Shin-chan, Yukino already thought his master was a bit much. Now to learn he even had Shiro cleaning the house?

The strange thing was, Yukino, who had always been scared of dogs, wasn't scared of Shiro anymore now that she was a cat.

Maybe a free-spirited cat naturally looks down on loyal dogs?
