Rune OneShot - Shadow Slave fic

Today the street of bastion is more busy than usual. Despite the sun already went down, the sounds of thousands of people rushing along the busy concrete streets can be heard from hundreds of miles away, of course today would be more hectic than usual. After all there was a rumour running among the denizens of False Bastion like a wildfire, that the 'Queen of Humanity', Lady Changing Star is about to get married. Of course, it was still just a rumour, no one could confirm it, and no one knows who or what started it. 

"Come on! Why do you look like that! Look, everything is fiiine" 

A voice of a young woman stood out from the busy crowd. The woman is a beautiful girl with pale skin and distinctive raven-black hair, which she chose to tie up using an onyx pin; She also chose to wear fancy shoe for today special occasion. Her tone was that of annoyance, seemingly against her companion. 

A voice of an older man replied in a neutral deadpan tone, as if he's given up on the current situation, this is further proven as he then put a palm on his forehead.

"Princess, I just can't believe you leaked the information that the boss- I meant your brother is about to get married to Lady Changing Star, now everyone and their mother in both the waking world and the dream realms knows about this."

The young woman then scoffed at him, responded back in a low voice. 

"June, I told you to stop calling me 'princess' when we're together. It's just so weird!" 

She then took a moment of silent, then glances back at June, with both hands placed on her hips, face beaming with a confidence that's brighter than even changing star flame. 

"Please refer to me as 'The Dark Murky Goddess of the Twilight sky', from now on. As i told you 2 days ago!" 

This statement makes June want to physically recoil, crumble down and fall through the floor. Though he didn't show this of course. Keeping a calm and cool manner, he sighs. 

'Damn she's just like her brother!' 

Letting out a small sigh, June then look back at Rain, responding to her in a nonchalant tone.

"Alright, 'Beautiful Dark Murky Goddess of the Twilight Sky' Rain, are we close to our destination yet?" 

Suddenly, the beautiful dark hair girl stopped walking, which made June heart skipped a beat, then turned to the side opposite of the Corsair. 

'Am i imagining it or is her face... Pink? Nah can't be, must be my imagination running hectic. Stop having weird thoughts about your boss younger sister!'

Rain then looked back at him, seemingly calmed down after... Whatever just happened. Although stuttering, she then answered his question, pointing over to a small tailor shop on the distant side of the road. 

"Th- There, that is the tailor shop i was talking to you about yesterday." 

Indeed, a few meters away from the two couple, on the other side of the road, stood a small and cozy, 2 stories tall, wooden hut, around 250 square feet. On the front door of the building stood a sign saying, "Underworld tailoring: For Princes (and princess)". The wooden hut is dark in colour, yet there is dozens of LED lights and signs illuminating in the darkness, creating this strange yet beautiful contrast that stuck out to those whose passing by. 

Awakened June looked around and then let out a sigh.

"So, this is the place then? Seems kind of eerie, isn't it? You know with the whole aesthetic of this place and the name." 

The place did freak out June, he was not sure why, but the place seems off, even when using his dormant he still could not understand what was wrong with the shop, just that from staring at the place, gives June the creeps. 

The beautiful woman beside him then responded in a soft voice. 

"Yeah I supposed so... But Telle did recommend me this place so it must be good!"

As the pair of Awakened entered the front door of the building, they were greeted by a tall man with dark hair and chalk like ashy skin, perhaps even taller than June himself. The man wore a rough black suit and a crimson red tie; his shoes was just as dark as the suit he was wearing. He has extremely dark eyes, perhaps he hasn't slept for a long time? Regardless of his appearance, his voice was rough yet smooth, creating an odd sense of charm for his character. 

"Welcome, welcome to 'The Underworld Tailor' my princes and princesses! My name is Abaddon. So, what brings you both to my shop young ones? What's the occasion? A date perhaps? My you two look like a picture-perfect couple!" 

'Okay why is he referring to us as 'young'? It's not like he's ancient or anything, he looked to be around the same age as me, though people who are awakened and above do age slower.' 

June thought to himself as he ponders to himself, yet it was the last comment that shook him. June and Rain both flinch and blush, then stuttered to respond back to Abaddon words. 

"W-We're not a couple!" 

Which was in vain as the weirdly off looking charismatic man in front of them continues to talk. 

"Ah such young love.... I haven't experienced this kind of love ever since... Stormy threw me out...." 

'Is- Is he crying?' Rain and June both thought to themselves with a dead pan expression on their face. 

"This guy is weird... I think we should go-"

Rain voice was suddenly interrupted by an illuminating, tall woman with white hair, who's wearing a Black and White drop waist dress.

"Ah, don't mind my brother child... He can get a bit sentimental at times" 

The charming woman then smiled at both Rain and June, seemingly erase their weariness of the place, somehow. Then with a sudden change in tone, she dropped her smile then glances at her brother, scowling at him in a harsh voice. 

"Geez Abaddon, i told you to get O-V-E-R IT! That relationship of yours and Storm was ages ago! Quit it or else you'll scare potential customers away again, like how you are doing now." 

The woman then glances back at the two awakened, her smile again re-appears on her face, she then introduces herself in a soft and calming tone. 

"Goodness! I haven't introduced myself, haven't I? My name is Elise; I'm the assistant of this shop and the cashier. Over there is my younger brother, Abaddon, he's the tailor. He's the one who create and repair all the suits you see around here." 

'They're siblings?!' Both Rain and June thought to themselves, stunned upon learning this piece of information, as the two couldn't have been anything less than polar opposites. 

'Well maybe one of them is adopted like me.' Rain thought to herself as she started to approach one of the several clothing racks within the shop. 

"Well, my older brother is about to get married! So, me and June here is planning to pick up a few suits and ties for the wedding!" 

The tall and alluring woman, Elise, then smiles back at the Awakened couple, then glances back at Abaddon who is currently wiping away his tears at the counter. 

"Hey Abaddon, since you've finally stop crying, can you try to find these poor awakened some clothing, will you dear?"

Abaddon then lets out a small sigh, standing up from the counter as he walks over to June and Rain direction. Putting his hands together next to his face, he smiles at them and then asked in a smooth voice. 

"Alright so who wants to try out some outfit first?" 

Rain immediately raises her right hand up, then replied in an enthusiastic tone, as if she was a small puppy meeting their humans for the first time.

"Me! I want to try out what ever suit you think would be best for me!" 

Abbadon then let out a curious glance at Rain. 

"Oh? A suit? How daring! You sure you don't want a dress young lady?" 

Rain then responds back at the man in black suit. 

"Well, i think dresses are fine and all, but as a preference I've always preferred a suit" 

Abaddon then let out a small smirk, which honestly creeped out both Rain and June, the man then said softly. 

"Very well then, I think I might just have the perfect suit and tie for you, young one."

The Shadow Clan princess is currently in the dressing room, trying out the outfit Abaddon recommended. This left June waiting outside the changing area, due to the princess insistence of asking him to judge how she looks in a suit. 

'Well, she is sure taking her time' 

Then suddenly, Elise taps his shoulder, which was freaked June out, since beside a couple of people like Ray, no one can or has easily sneak up on him like that during recent years. After a brief initial moment of panic, he calmed himself down, then replied to Elise in a calm tone. 

"What do you want, Ms. Elise?" 

The mysterious woman lets off a small smile. 

"Oh nothing... I just wanted to inform you that my younger brother over there, Abaddon, has managed to pick out an outfit for you."

June then let out a fake smile in response to Elise. He then jokingly responded to Elise.

"Thanks. Oh, now that you've mentioned it, it is hard for us to imagine you two as siblings, since you two seems to be complete opposite in both appearances and mannerisms."

Elise then lifts her hands over her mouth, letting out a few chuckles. 

"Well, if you think that me and Abaddon are so different from each other, just wait till you see the rest of my siblings." 

June then glances at her curiously, asking in a calm and cool tone. 

"Wait you have more siblings?" 

Elise then smiles softly, letting out a sigh. 

"Indeed, beside me and Abaddon over there, we also have 5 other siblings. And let me tell you this, we cannot be any more different! Hell, the oldest among us is literally a homeless hermit!" 

After a few moments, Elise then glances back at June, smiles and then commented. 

"You and that girl over there, seem quite close to each other. Say one day, how about you invite me to your own wedding?" 

June blushed at Elise sudden comments, without anytime to calm himself down, he blurted out an answer as fast as he can, stuttering in the process. 

"W-what are you talking about, there's nothing going on betwee-" 

His reply was then cut off short by the voice of the shadow princess, whose finally step out of the changing room. 

"So, June! How do i look!" 

The very moment that June turned around to face Rain, he was mesmerised by the woman Infront of him to say the very least. The suit...complimented her raven-black hair well, and the suit somehow managed to fit around her slender waist too, creating this dark, murky yet alluding atmosphere around her. In his perspective Rain looks like as if a beautiful figure from a renaissance painting suddenly step out of the pictire. To keep it simple, June was having a hard time to turn away from Rain. June then activated his dormant ability, to increase his perception, slowing down his perception of time. 

'Oh spell... Am i blushing? Quick i got to snap out of it and respond fast!' 

"Oh, yes you do Rain. Stunning in fact." 

Hearing that, Rain lets out an even brighter smile that stunned June. 

'So.... Cute'

It was now Corsair turn to change, which meant now Rain is currently waiting outside of the changing room. She walked around in circles for a while to pass the time, in which she then realised that she was in a terrible predicament. She was in fact, bored, like very bored. 

'Oh well, I can't wait to show off this new suit to older brother!' 

Suddenly, as of appearing out of thin air, the menacing woman from the tailor shop, Ms. Elise, appeared right next to her. Smiling, Rain tried to make small talk to the scary woman. 

"So, how is your day going, Ms. Elise?" 

"Oh, nothing much is going on, just the usual you know? Waking up, eating then going to work in this shop... The usual." 

Elise then paused for a moment, a cheeky smirk appearing on her mouth as she then asked Rain. 

"Say, Child, how do you think that boy June is going to look with a suit on?"

'Such a weird question', Rain pondered to herself, what is this question suddenly? I mean it's basically guaranteed that he would look handsome and cool with a suit on- 

Rain train of thoughts was then suddenly stopped, as Elise suddenly started speaking again. 

"What? You think the boy would look better in a dress than a suit?" 

This sudden off hand comment made Rain froze to her very soul core. The image of the tall, handsome, muscular and lean devil with blue eyes suddenly appeared in the back of her mind. It's just that this time, he's wearing a pinkish dress. 

'W-what am i thinking? This feels so wrong...' 

Yet the image of June inside a dress was still stuck in her mind, it felt wrong as she knows that June wouldn't appreciate this if he found out about what is going on in her mind as of right now. But at the same time, it felt right... She was not going to lie to herself and say that she didn't find that image very pleasing. 

'Cute!' 

After a moment, Rain noticed that Elise was staring at her face weirdly. 

"Is there anything on my face?" 

Elise then smirked at her with an eye of a gremlin. 

"No, it's just that, your nose is bleeding."

After a while, the awakened couple finally left the tailor shop, leaving both Abaddon and his sister, Elise, alone in the store. 

Letting out a smile, Abaddon stared at the direction in which June and Rain had left with their newly acquired suit, Abaddon opened his mouth. 

"It seems like Weaver epigone and that Nephilim is finally getting married~"

Elise then looked at her at her younger brother, smiling. 

"It seems so. Took them long enough, though im not sure about you but im more interested in those two young ones that just had left our tailor shop, Nether." 

Abaddon then let out a chuckle, still staring at the same direction as before. 

"What? Their love life? Did their desire for each other, somehow pique your interest, Hope?" 

Elise then scoffed at her youngest brother. 

"So, what if i do? They'll make an amazing couple in the future, just you wait."
