Revenge Reincarnation

Chapter 6: Lords of the Sectors; Part 2

'I survived a fall from heaven, a monster attack and got power from a dream. None of it makes sense. Its all either a coincidence or... Someone really wants me alive. But who could it be. Obviously not the goddess, that's for sure. Whoever it is hasn't revealed themselves to me, nor have they tried to stop me. Which means I'm doing exactly what they want.'

'For now, I need to increase my power. As the days go, I meet more and more stronger foes. I'll create a skill for the occasion. Something that will come in handy during a fight. A way to immediately increase my power by about double during a fight. Um... If I remember correctly, Clara once told me if I loose all my mana, it will render me immobile for a while as it regenerates.'

So I'll first create a skill that regenerates my mana instantly. I'll use almost all my mana for this to make it more efficient. Mana Regeneration. Brings back my mana within 1.5 seconds. That's the best I could do. Thanks to full potential, it comes back with ten percent. I can use this to make a way for increasing my power by double during a fight.'

'I know. I'll make a skill that releases all my mana and leaves behind one percent so I won't be immobile. Then, after 1.5 seconds, it regenerates plus 10%. Then, for all the mana I released, I absorb it all back. Within 2 seconds, I'll have over double the mana. This will increase the power of all other skills by double. Then I can call it 'Growth'. I'm probably overthinking but I'll go with it for now. I can't make things too easy.'

"I'm finished." Nirvana came in her dragon form and said. Then she turned back to human sized.

"Good. You can go back for now. I have some things to do." Then I left. I realized that going with them to meet other sector lords makes it too easy and I won't be able to see their power. It'll make it difficult for what's to come.

As I was on my way to Sector C, I decided to try and use the new skill. All I had to do was say the word 'Growth' out loud or in my mind. I said it out loud then all the mana inside me left and covered the surrounding area. It came out with a huge force. Then regenerated almost immediately. Afterwards, all the mana that came out of me returned. I wanted to test it but thought of using it at the next lord.

I arrived. Weirdly without coming across any monster. I went into the cave. Only a very low amount of mana was oozing out. I met the lord. It looked like a giant blue man with long white beard and six arms. Six arms. Standing at around 30 feet with four horns that had branches. A vampire, a dragon and now a... Whatever that was. What was surprising is that he looked like he anticipated my arrival. Now they have telepathy? Great I thought.

"An intruder." He said with a really vibrating voice but at the same time, it sounded smooth and calm. "You must be the one that released all that mana outside my sector. That means your stronger than us."

"What are you?"

"A giant. The giant lord to be precise. Your in the land of lesser giants."

"I see. That's very important information you just gave me but, we'll discuss it later. Now that you know I'm stronger than you, what do you plan to do?"

He was silent for a bit then answered. "I guess I don't have much of a choice but to fight." His voice still sounded calm. None of us flinched. We looked at each other, waiting for the other to make the first move. I decided to be the one.

I charged at him with my fist. But he grabbed it with one arm and, using two other arms, he swung at me. One from the top, the other the bottom with me in between. The shock from that attack stunned me for a little. Then he flung me aside.

"You attack me without a weapon. To make it worse, you only have one arm. How weak do you think I am."

Oh yeah. I thought while coughing out blood. This entire time, I haven't been using a weapon. I'll quickly make one, an unbreakable sword should be good. I'll make it from solidified mana. That way, I can use skills through it.

Then a sword appeared in my hand but it didn't look like metal. It was black and looked like I was holding a black fog inside of a glass case that's shaped like a sword.

'That's solidified mana.' He thought. 'So he had a trick up his sleeve. But so do I'

Then I tried attacking again but those arms. Why the hell does someone have six arms? I can't even land a hit. He said I'm stronger but he has more experience. Plus six arms. So I thought of just using magic attacks. Fire magic, blocked it. Spikes from the ground, dodged it. Dropping the cave ceiling on him, caught it.

I was running out of ideas. But I couldn't loose this fight. I needed him even more after seeing his capabilities. I decided to open my eye but didn't get the chance to do so when I saw him doing something. He brought his two middle and lower arms together and the upper hands stretched out. His horns grew a little. Then between the space of one pair, a light glowed.

Then a golden eye appeared above his head between the horns. The iris of the eye kept switching from normal to a clock, a gear, a magic circle and other unfathomable things. Then he said, "Angel's eye." And it glowed brighter. Then a golden beam of energy, much wider than the eye itself, came from it towards me. Everything around disintegrated and the beam hit me.

The walls of the cave melted as the beam came out and continued going through the forest, burning everything. It stopped. A huge and long trail of burnt earth was left behind. There was a hole in the cave. Dust and smoke slowly cleared. He looked ahead.

"Even something like that didn't kill you, Nerezza Vingar."

"I knew you had telepathy. I didn't say my name yet."

"Sister told me that you seem to be testing our capabilities and told me to go all out."

"And yet I get the feeling you're still holding back."

What made you say that? Even after that final attack just now you say that I'm holding back."

"I can see it clearly. Your aura. Its different from the others. It seems that your hiding it from them. You must have your own reasons. I won't interfere. That is, if your not with the goddess. Then that'll make you my enemy."

"Its incredible that you can see it at first glance even though I've hidden it for thousands of years. You've earned my respect, Lord Nerezza."

"Lord?"

"I can tell what you plan to do. This will make it easier for you. I'll inform the rest."

"Alright then. If you say so. I'm gonna head to sector D now. We're running out of time."

"I'll wait for your instructions."

I nodded then left thinking to myself. First the entire Crinelis Kingdom, the the capital of Havvothj'air. Its only a matter of time before other kingdoms begin making their move. I need to hurry and complete this before that. They are four siblings. So Sector D will be the last for now. Later on I'll check out Sector F and why its different.

Sector D, it was relatively smaller compared to the others. So it didn't take long to come across the lord, even though it was nighttime. I heard noise, close to a fire in an opening. When I got there, I saw clearly. It was a party. A group of monsters, that looked like giant evolved pigs, were dancing around, drinking wine and singing. This feels wrong in so many ways.

One that was surrounded by others and significantly larger than the rest saw me. Then he pushed others aside and came to me. He picked me up and placed me on his shoulder as he laughed. From there I could see everyone clearly. They were like muscly humans with the face of a pig. Some were really huge while others were human size. That's when I realized they were orcs.

The one that was holding me whistled. Everyone fell silent and began to listen.

"Everyone. Our hero has arrived just in time for the party. Lets welcome him." He said. Everyone cheered in response and celebrated happily.

"Hey, what's going on?" I didn't understand what was happening and asked the one holding me.

"Brother already informed me of your plan to unite the sectors and fight back against the humans. Sister also told me how you've already started by destroying the capital of a nearby kingdom. I don't know what you call that but to me that sounds like the work of a hero. So we were celebrating your arrival. Then we can depart early tomorrow."

He didn't even give me a chance to speak and took me to the middle of the crowd and they gave me a wooden mug of wine and cheered. I decided to play along thinking how that went easier than I thought.

When I learnt that the sectors were lands uninhabited by humans, I decided to learn more about them. That's when I discovered the sector lords and got an idea. If each sector lord ruled one sector that was filled with monsters, why don't I unite them to make them stronger. That way, both them and I could become stronger and strike fear into the humans, our common enemy. But I didn't think it would be easy since they've been separated for hundreds of years. It turns out I was wrong.

Morning came. I told the orc, that was apparently the orc lord, to inform the others that we'll meet at Sector B, and together, we went back with all the orcs and other nearby monsters. After quite sometime, we arrived and met the others who also came with the monsters from their sectors. A huge number of small monsters like goblins, spider-looking things and most importantly, demi humans were there. There were also orcs, minotaurs among other monsters I didn't know names of.

I looked at the giant lord and called him, "Nephilim. That will be your name, unless, of course, you have your own."

"I don't. I shall gladly accept it." I nodded then looked at the orc lord.

"Your name shall be Grendel. How about it?"

"I am thankful for the name you've given me."

Then together, the four of them knelt on one knee and said in unison, "We are most gracious for the gift of names that our master has given us." Then all the other monsters present also fell on one knee.

"Huh? W...W...What's going on?" I fumbled.

"We, the sector lords, are now at your command. We shall gladly fulfil any request you have of us."

Why did they just say that?

"In this world," Clara started, "when one is given a name, its either from their parents or their master. Names act as a form of blessing bestowed to a person, giving them identity as one of your own. This is done because of the mana that s given out to them. In this case, you gave them your mana and they now, therefore, identify as one of your own. The mana you give them can also be seen through their aura, meaning that others will see your aura in them."

Well... That wasn't part of the plan. But still this works out for me. The other monsters must follow the sector lords. That's the only logical reason for them to also get on a knee.

"You all must have been living in fear." I said to everyone. "In fear of the humans. Yet here you are, bowing down to one." Some had worrying faces and wondered if they may have made the wrong choice. "I shall, therefore, uphold your trust. Lets build a nation." Surprised faces appeared. "A nation that covers all the sectors, running from west to east." The surprised faces kept increasing.

"We'll build a nation like none other, one that will have an ever growing city where everyone lives and infinite resources from the lands will belong to us. Resources for making weapons and gadgets for easy living. A nation so powerful that the humans will fear it. That they will be scared that even uniting all countries won't do a single thing to us."

They all cheered happily, understanding now that they made the right choice and that there is hope for them but not all were happy. Beast folk, elves, and dwarves weren't as cheerful as the rest. I understood the reason and continued talking.

"The first order of business, will be to free the slaves captured by the humans." Everyone looked at me in shock. Even the sector lords. "This I shall do by myself to make it end quicker. I promise that everyone who's still alive and is currently a slave will be brought back here and reunited with those they hold dear. Then together, we can build a safe nation for your kind. A Haven for all."

There was silence for a while. The demi humans were first to cheer. Then all shouted merrily. It felt good to see that I made someone happy again. During the night, others celebrated the birth of a new kingdom as I discussed plans with the four. That's when a familiar face appeared. The elf girl with purple hair from a while ago.

"Well long time no see." I begun.

"What do you hope to gain by doing this. Your obviously using us for something else. They don't know you but I do. When you destroyed Crinelis, I saw you. The way you looked at the people dying. The way you smiled. I know how evil you are." She said. Those who heard were silently listening.

I was quiet for a while then I answered. "That's right. I am using all of you." Those close by were shocked. "But does that make me evil?"

"Of course it does."

"Then doesn't that mean everyone is evil?"

"What are you talking about?"

"If what your saying is true, then everyone is evil all their lives. When you're in your mother's womb, don't you use her for a free and secure space to grow? After your born, don't you stay with your family as they give you free food, free clothes and a free house, then once you grow old enough, you leave them?"

"Well I..."

"When you marry someone, aren't you just using them to satisfy your love or lust? When you die, aren't you just using death as an excuse to eternally rest?" No one said a thing. "In life, everyone uses something or someone to get what they want. What do I want? My true motive is the goddess. I want to take revenge on her, even if it takes a lifetime or ten, I will take down the goddess and everyone who gets in my way. That's the humans, the humans who worship her. They are my enemy. I need to either get rid of them or make them change who they worship.

No one still answered. "Don't you want the same thing? To get rid of the humans. Then is there a problem with that?"

No response. I sighed. "I'll take my leave tomorrow and target all remaining cities in Havvothj'air. Then I'll release all the slaves from them." I stood and left everyone there.

"Looks like you made him angry." Cassius said jokingly.

"Shut up." Nirvana responded. The elf girl looked at me as I walked away.

The next day, I left. And was walking towards one of the cities when I heard someone calling to me.

"Wait." It was a woman's voice. I turned around and saw the elf girl running towards me. "I'll go with you." I didn't talk and continued walking. "Giselle. That's my name." She said as she walked along.

"Nerezza Vingar."

"I know." And we walked together to our target as we continued to know each other.

Elsewhere in the forest, adventurers were called to investigate an abnormal flow of mana in sector C. It was a party of four, an A class mage, a B class healer, an A class tank and a S class rank E leader. They walked around killing any small monsters that they came across. To the point where there were no more.

"Hey boss," The tank said. "Aren't there too little monsters?"

"He's right." The mage said.

"Even I felt it too, although its my first time going to a sector." The healer said. "There are no strong monsters."

"Sounds like your hoping for there to be a challenge." Their leader answered. "Don't forget that S class adventurers have died trying to explore this lands."

"Right." They all said in unison and continued walking until they got to a clearing.

With shocked faces, they all wondered, "What's going on? What happened here." They saw a long trail of burnt forest and a hole in the cave where the sector lord should be. They were to scared and ran back.

Meanwhile, in a meeting in the palace of the emperor. The nobles looked at each other silently, with shocked faces as they saw the report. At the end of the table, there was a middle aged man with great physique, wearing a purple robe and white attire. He looked at the nobles' reaction closely then he spoke.

"First the military kingdom destroyed by a heaven's tower, then the capital of Havvothj'air destroyed by the frost god, and now this. The report of what looks like a battlefield left behind by two powerful monsters."

"Announcing the arrival of the High Priest of the Holy Kingdom." The door opened. An old man wearing white robes with a golden cross on his chest and necklace walked in. The cross had two horizontal lines that met on one end. The symbol of the worshippers of the goddess.

"I believe you understand the seriousness of the situation." He said as he went to his seat.

"You're the one that doesn't understand it. New reports just came in of the situation in sector C. It seems there was a fight. Not your average one. It must've been between the sector lord and some intruder. An intruder powerful enough to give the lord a run for his money."

"What should we do?"

"The situation is getting out of hand. No heroes have appeared for quite a while. So its not a demon lord. We have no other choice. Before things get worse, we need to call her."

"Your not serious."

"Do you have another proposal. I say we let them kill each other. Two very powerful birds with one stone." Before he could continue, the guards outside the door were heard struggling to stop someone from going in. Then slashes were heard and they fell silent. The doors opened.

"Let them kill each other? Seriously? That's the best you could come up with?" A woman said as she walked in. Red short hair bounced as she walked. Her earring on her right ear shook from side to side as she walked, making a clicking sound. "Long time no see, emperor."

"What do you want, rogue hero?"

She didn't answer, but only had a horrific smile on her face as she stared at the emperor with dead black eyes.

"What are you plotting?"

She didn't change her face as she said, "Don't interfere with them. I want to see what they'll do next. Then afterwards... I'll go and destroy all that they build."

'You're finally making your move, followers of the monarch beast.' She thought. ' What do you plan to do next? Don't worry about me. I'll be there soon.
