Chapter 183: Cordelia Will Fall Today!
"How are things here?"
Phoenix looked up as Sunny slowly descended from the sky, landing gracefully before her and Xing.
"At the moment, stable," Xing reported, her gaze sweeping across the battlefield. "We're pushing them back. The other kings, with the five masters, are also deep in the city."
"You mean Leon and his group?" Sunny raised an eyebrow.
"Yep! They're in the city," Phoenix confirmed with a nod.
Sunny turned his attention to the barricade, where a fresh wave of undead was rushing toward them.
"Something isn't right!" He began walking toward the barricade, his sudden movement stunning both Xing and Phoenix.
"What are those?" a soldier asked in horror.
"Those aren't zombies... they're undead," Sunny stated, his eyes fixed on the horde of skeletons charging forward.
"This proves our guess; someone is here, controlling everything."
"They plan to destroy Cordelia from the inside out," Xing exclaimed, her voice laced with panic.
"Half the city is already destroyed. If they take down the other half, Cordelia will fall!"
"No! That mustn't happen!" Sunny's voice was cold and resolute. "No matter what, we must hold Cordelia. This is our master's home!"
"Sir Sunny!" a soldier rushed toward them.
"What happened now?!" Sunny turned to face the man.
"This... Cordelia's fifth and fourth master tamers have been killed!"
"WHAT?!"
The three of them exclaimed in shock. In that same moment, the skeletons lunged forward.

[The Center of the Chaos.]
"You guys are the master tamers? How pathetic!" Darkness Spirit sneered, throwing the lifeless body of Isabella onto the ground.
"Fourth Master!" Leon groaned in pain, clutching his bleeding chest where a massive wound could be seen.
"This!" Electra muttered in horror, her eyes wide as they scanned the two lifeless bodies of the masters.
"What level are you on?!" she yelled at Darkness.
Darkness chuckled. Behind him, Leon—now known as Extinction—strode forward, followed by the Golden Organization's four kings: Death Flames, Eagle Eye, Earth-Fist, and Windy. All of them had been enhanced by the experiment.
"I am here to destroy Cordelia," Darkness declared, his gaze falling on Leon, Electra, and Alex, the last surviving master tamers.
"None of you will survive."
"You!"
Alex was enraged, but he didn't dare move forward. The five people standing with Darkness were all master tamers, and he knew that Dracula, Lincoln, Shadow, and more were still lurking in the shadows.
"We need to retreat... they are all master awakeners," Leon whispered, his voice barely audible.
"We will die if we stay behind."
"You!" Alex pointed at Leon.
"I remember you from the academy competition! You were a tamer! How did you turn into an Awakener?!"
"All thanks to the master's grace," Extinction answered, and lunged forward.
"None of you are leaving here alive!" He infused his fist with dark life force energy and sent out a punch.
"Go! I will hold them back!" Leon channeled his energy, ignoring the searing pain, and sent a punch of his own forward.
BAM!
The two fists collided, sending shockwaves rippling across the area and pushing both Leon and Extinction backward.
"You... I am a supreme tamer. I should be able to defeat you with one punch... How are you still standing?!" Leon yelled.
Extinction lowered his gaze to his hand, which had been broken from the collision. He looked back up at Leon and smirked.
"All your beasts are dead, and their cores have been devoured... Resisting is futile."
As everyone watched in stunned silence, his broken hand cracked and mended itself before their eyes.
"...?!"
"...This?"
"...?!"
The three were stunned into silence.
"Do... do you guys think the master could defeat them?" Electra suddenly asked, her voice trembling. She had lost all hope. Extinction alone could face them all, let alone the five Golden Organization kings.
"What Master?!" Leon yelled, looking at her over his shoulder.
"You know who I'm referring to!" she yelled back.
Leon gritted his teeth. "We all killed him together, why are you remembering him now?!" he hissed at her.
"I know we did... But if he was here, he..."
"Stop it! Although we regret our past actions now, it's already too late! We fight or we die!" Alex spat out, clenching his fists.
"Oh?" Darkness floated forward, his body enveloped in a shadowy aura.
"Are you fools talking about the late Supreme Tamer? So you killed him and announced to the whole world that he died in the war... I thought I was evil, but it seems you guys are—"
"Shut Up!" Electra screamed at him. "We know what we did! Although we can't go back in time and fix things, we will die fighting!" she yelled.
"You're only remembering him because you're about to die," Darkness spat.
"You would never regret your past if this situation hadn't occurred... You are all fools!" He raised a single finger into the air.
"Come out, my friend."
BOOOOOOM!
A red light shot out from the ring on his finger and took the form of a long serpentine dragon. Its red scales glittered under the flames of the burning city.
"A... a celestial stage beast?!" The three's eyes widened in sheer terror.
"This guy was sealed away with two of my other beasts! With his help, I can rescue the two, and then... I will rule this world! You can't change the fate of your world... Even if you die, nothing will change... So just go, knowing what will befall your city!"
'Fuck! This beast is even stronger than the Crocodile, which is on its way! How can we fight such a beast?!' Leon thought, staring at the 20-meter-tall creature.
"All our beasts are killed... We have nothing to fight them with," Electra sighed, her shoulders slumping in defeat.
"That doesn't mean we won't try!" Alex channeled all his energy into his fists, ready to give it his all.
"So annoying... Wipe them out!" Darkness said with a bored expression.
GRAAAAAAA!
The serpentine dragon opened its huge jaws, and a crimson energy began to form within. Before it could unleash the attack, however...
BOOOM!
An attack smashed into its face, knocking the dragon to the ground.
"This?!"
Darkness, his group, and the three master tamers all turned toward the source of the attack, seeing two figures flying toward them—both supreme-level awakeners.
"The fourth and fifth Beast Kings! Sir Garrett and Sir Ragnarok!" Electra exclaimed with a surge of joy.
The two figures landed before the three, their eyes fixed on Darkness and his group.
"You guys... I haven't forgotten you," Darkness said with a smirk, walking toward them with his hands folded behind his back.
BAM!
The dragon stood back up, not even a scratch visible on its face.
"Let me tell you guys a secret," Darkness said with a smirk:
"You, and you," he gestured to the two Beast Kings.
"What would you do if you knew these three are the ones who killed your Master?"
"...?!"
All five of them were stunned.
"Hahaha! Look at you fools! You don't know," Darkness chuckled, continuing:
"These three killed their master, who is the late Supreme Tamer, and that Supreme Tamer is also you two master."
"You! Our Master is alive!" Garrett yelled at Darkness.
"Yes! Sunny also told us he is alive!" Ragnarok added.
"Yes," Darkness nodded. "He is indeed alive... because he came back as someone else."
".....?!"
The three master tamers were completely stunned.
"Forget all this... I am here to take Cordelia, not to explain some personal matters." Darkness turned around and walked away. "Attack... Ultimate attack."
GRRAAAAA!
The celestial stage beast let out a roar, its body beginning to glow with an ominous red light. Extinction, Death-flames, and the rest of the group leaped backward, creating distance between themselves and the dragon.
Garrett looked up at the still-falling life force tide and sighed:
"We need to go, the life force tide will power up the blast. We should go now!"
"No! You guys go! I will stay and hold it back!" Leon said.
"Leon!"
"Go!" Leon yelled, turning to Alex.
"If their master is truly our former Master... tell him... I caused everything. I made you guys go against him! He should be angry with me alone!"
Alex looked at him as tears streamed down Electra's cheeks.
"Let's go!" Garrett and Ragnarok grabbed them and shot into the air, flying away.
The beast raised its head to the four and released the blast toward them.
"I don't think so!" Leon shot into the air, blocking the attack with his life force.
"Hahaha!! The life force tide is enhancing both our powers! I won't let you get to them!" he yelled, adding more life force to his shield.
"Should we—"
"No," Darkness cut off Extinction. "Let him die."
Extinction pointed at the fleeing group. "I mean the four."
"They are heading to the barricade... After taking care of this, we are heading there," Darkness said coldly.
"Once we destroy the barricade and pass the bridge, we can enter the other half of Cordelia, wipe everyone out, and take over..."
"What about the Crocodile?" Death-flames asked.
"I will take care of it when the time comes," Darkness muttered.
"AHHHHHHH!"
The group turned to Leon, watching as the blast destroyed his shield and incinerated him into ashes in a matter of seconds.
"Cordelia's Supreme Tamer is dead... We just need to kill more." Darkness leaped into the air, landing on the serpentine dragon's head. "To the barricade!"
The dragon let out a roar as two huge wings shot out from its back. With one flap, it soared into the air, chasing after the four.
