Relinquish (Story Of Sixteen)

Seetha was in absolute confusion regarding whose party she has to attend. Her deep thoughts got interrupted when Ram spoke. He asked "What happened? Why did you become silent suddenly?" Then he paused for a second and warned her by saying "Don't you dare say that you won't come to the party." With that Ram left from there as he got a call in his mobile.

Seetha still don't know what to do. So, she just hugged the couch's pillow and fell on the sofa in a sleeping position. Slowly, she closed her eyes. After closing her eyes, Tarok's face was her first remembrance. She remembered the scenario where she promised to attend his basketball match. Time passed and in between her deep thoughts, she finally felt asleep.

After few minutes, Ram came back to the couch while hanging up the office call that he received. He saw Seetha who was sleeping in the couch. He laughed at her as he saw her sleeping with wide opened mouth. Seeing this, an idea sparked on Ram's mind. He acted according to his idea as he started taking video of her face in his mobile phone which looked extremely funny. When he was taking video, she started yarning too. This made him laugh more. Finally, he successfully completed taking the video by supressing his laughter as giggles. He saved it. So that he can tease her in the morning or whenever he needs.

Then he saw her face again. This time she closed her mouth and started muttering something. Ram couldn't hear it properly. So, he leaned closer to her face.

Seetha in a mumbling tone: mmmm…Dad.

Seetha again in a mumbling tone: mm…dad…I miss you.

Hearing this Ram's gaze softened. He saw her face and voiced out his thoughts.

He said "I think she really miss her dad very much."

He paused for a second and counted something using his fingers. After finished counting, he said "It's been four months already. She never visited her family in between. Even none of her family members came to meet her."

He was in a deep thought and said to himself "Maybe, they might be busy."

It's been few minutes; he is in a kneeling position. Somehow, he felt pain so he sat down on the floor near the couch facing Seetha's head.

He gently caressed her head and said in a soft tone "You are so little to do both part time jobs and managing things at the house. Not only that, you are also studying. I know it must be tiring."

He carefully observed her face and a smile appeared on his face. This reflected how much he was proud just by looking at her.

Then he took his hand away from her head and leaned closer to her ears as he whispered slowly "Sleep well. Good night."

With that he went to her room, took her blanket and came back. He covered her with the blanket. Then he returned back to his room for sleeping.

At the other side, Tarok was hanging out with his friends in the party. Tarok's friends were doing exactly what Seetha's friends do. Yes, they were teasing him. One of Tarok's friends took a glass of alcohol and approached him.

That friend: Hey Tarok, here you go.

He said that while offering the alcohol filled glass to Tarok.

Tarok rejected it by saying "Nah, I don't want to drink tonight."

That same friend whose name is Sunil asked "Why bro? What happened?"

Tarok was in silence and just shook his head as no.

Sunil: Don't act like a good boy. We know you. Come on, enjoy the night

He offered the drink once more and said with an excitement "Let's get wasted."

The other friend whose name is Raj bought the glass from him and drank almost the whole alcohol in one gulp. Then he said "Leave it, he won't be drinking tonight."

Hearing this, Sunil was in extreme shock. Because, the Tarok he knew was always a bad guy who was always ready to get wasted in parties. So, he asked shockingly "Why?"

Raj answered "Love."

Sunil can't believe his own ears now as never saw Tarok falling for any girl so he asked "What?"

Raj: Yes, he is in love.

Sunil was again in shock as everything felt unreal for him so he asked "With whom? And when did this even happen?"

Raj patted Sunil's head and said mockingly "It's Seetha. To know the current affairs about our college or about our friends, you must attend college or you must at least be in contact with us. But you were always busy in hanging out with girls."

Sunil: Why are you talking like I am the only one who does this? You were also like me.

Tarok: That was before meeting her. She is different and she made everything different.

He paused for a second and continued "She has something which is changing me completely."

Sunil: Okay fine. You are in love, so you are changing but why Raj is also changing?

Raj answered sadly: He compels me to attend classes. So that he won't feel lonely.

Sunil: But…

Tarok: One more question. Then you will also end up like Raj.

Sunil in a trembling voice: What?...What is this? It's not at all correct…yes, the saying is true.

Tarok asked in confusion: Which saying?

Sunil shouted the answer at Tarok's face: That love is blind.

With that he ran from there. This made both Tarok and Raju laugh.

After laughing, Raj took a sip from his glass. Then he asked Tarok: I heard that you asked her to come to the weekend match. What is the plan behind it?

Tarok asked shockingly: How do you know?

Raj: Huh, the whole college knows.

Tarok was looking silently at him which made Raj understand that he is asking for a proper answer.

So, Raj answered by saying "Okay, when you were talking with Seetha, the girls who always crave for your attention heard it. Then it got spreaded from them.

Tarok nodded and said "Oh, I see."

Raj: So, tell me now. What are you planning to do.

Tarok smirked while answering as he said "Wait and watch."
