Reincarnation: Road to rebuild a lost home

Chapter 14: The healer and her daughter

Gonten and Gabriel had returned to the three waiting but saw only two to be there at the scene, and Sensus was nowhere there. When it was asked about his whereabouts, Zely and Sion told the two he stepped away doing some personal business in private, being number one around the area.

It is at the next second that Sensus appears having to seem he was done with the two just down telling them. When now all together, the group moves out and back to their rebuilt home.

The walk back took the time amount of a few minutes to come out of the woods and next into an open area with a big clear eye view and pure green on the ground.

Their Village came to be reborn again in these lands which were mostly unclaimed by any living being. It is a perfect place for a small village to live and grow as they are; thankfully, there are woods to do some hunting on any prey they can spot for food to bring back to the village to feed the people there.

Right now, the population of the were-tiger was about sixty left, not the main number of the race, just the number of those alive in these lands of the west. There are to be a few more groups scattered within the parts, and they will need to be brought back together again by the one deemed to do so.

Yet hunting must be done safely in numbers. Monsters do live around the area as well, just like any other place in this world.

When catching sight of the village view, there can be two people standing in front of the village. One was a were-tiger female around her forties with long hair that was tied up into a big ball of a bun on the back of the head and brown-like skin as she was the villager healer Xyma.

The other standing beside her is another in her early twenties with long brown hair covering just about the right eye and the same skin color. This was Xyma's daughter Mota, one who aims as well to be a healer just like her mother.

“Ah, there is our healer, and from the look on that woman's face, I’m going to get a nice fist to the face from her,” Gabriel says with a smile on his face, having already known it to be, and accepts the outcome.

“Surely you don’t think that would happen; I mean, there is no doubt she is not going to be happy with our condition. I know Xyma kept on telling you to not push us in our training too much, but it can’t be helped since it's how our people train.”

“Boy, you don’t know Xyma; she can heal you up and beat you badly and heal you again to do so more if she feels like it.”

Gonten does feel a bit uncomfortable with the thought of Xyma using her skills as a healer on someone just to hurt them again.

“At least we won’t be getting some of that fire, only you, Gabriel. Sorry, but I'd rather not be me and you alone instead. Well, you are older and have more experience with fights, so getting beat by the women shouldn't be much to you.” Sensus took the chance to say something like that as a joke, no one was laughing beside him alone.

“Oh, how kind of you, Sensus. That would be something I will remember for the next time training. Be ready to feel some real ass pain till then.”

“Shit should have kept my shut from saying anything, but the opening was there for the talking, so it was a bit worth it.”

The small group makes it to Xyma and her daughter Mota before Gabriel has any chance to get a world in; the women have already taken action popping the poor man right in the face, and she didn't show to be holding back as everyone witnessed a worrier like him get knocked back to the ground easy.

It does make those around the question if the lady Xyma was a full-time healer at all or became one later on in her life. Then again, they think it can be just how their people are. No matter what one is taught, that person will always have such a nature.

Gonten had to step in fast to stop any more harm that could be done to his teacher.

“Xyam, please, Gabriel was just doing his part with our training as always. There doesn’t have to be a need for you to go any further on hurting, please.” Gonten asked the women.

“I know, but I still want to kick his ass for heeding my words; I mean, look at you, well, not you, Gonten seems you don’t get much of a bad look. Compared to those three who look worse.”

Xyma took the moment to think about something important as it was just the thing, he and Gabriel talked about some time ago. She believes well that the blood of the tiger god is awakening. No doubt any healing Xyma was to have done on him wouldn’t matter with a better healer being that blood of his.

“Mother please, should we not pay attention to those who are wounded? As healers,” Mota brought up a good point that Xyma, as a healer herself, a kind code for one that works in the way of healing must care for those in need of it.

Then again, looking at her daughter, witnessing with her eye that she was not serious about healing but more wanting to have a feel for the one the girl had a crush on.

“Mota why are you touching Gonten in such a way?” Zely asked with a hastily in her voice as if talking to the enemy.

“Why Zely, my friend, see you with your eyes? I am just checking his physical condition to see if there are any broken bones.”

“Oh, is that so.”

Zely warps her arm around Gonten's arm by the left side, pulling him closer to her and away from Mota, noticing what she did, and calmly speaking to her.

“Well, since he doesn’t look to be badly hurt and no bones were broken, why don’t you take care of the other two who look to need your help,” Zely tells her, wanting nothing more for this person to get away from him.

“How can you say that my dear friend? I’m much more knowledgeable with the arts of healing best to leave it to me who can give the right answer on his well-being.” Mota took the other arm for herself pulling him a bit towards her.

“Again, he is fine. You can go take care of those two that need you more, Mota.”

Their air at the moment was starting to get a bit heavy with how much hastily was being thrown at each other while the poor Gonten happened to be trapped in the middle of this.

Looking to his friends to give aid to his help, but such a thing wasn’t going to happen as the twin brothers and Gabriel were together talking with one another.

“I envy him even when having two females fighting over Gonten, but there's no way, I’m going to get involved in stopping those two. I most likely wouldn’t come out of it alive; forgive me, Brother Gonten, you are on your own.” Sensus says doing a little prayer for him

“Sadly, there is nothing we can do to help him. We do not have the power to go up against such strong-willed females.”

“No matter what kind of race, a female is the deadliest creature to face head-on. Be brave, Gonten. Be brave and keep on looking forward.”

“Well, you three shut up, and you girls enough with the childish fight, ng, or Gonten will come to an end up worse.”

The girls heard Xyma and quickly let go of him, yet still kept an eye on each other, making sure none were trying to make a secret move on Gonten.

The woman shakes her head and then turns around, waving a hand that tells them to follow her so the healer can get started at her hut to use the medicines Xyma had created from what was gathered from the woods.

When inside the village they are greeted warmly by the rest of their kind.

/Later on, nighttime/

The village was sound asleep; they were-tiger people were enjoying their bed during the night. Yet there was one of their own who wasn't in the mood yet to close their eyes.

Feeling the need to stay up a bit to make sure his new home is safe for another night after these past twelve years.

“Gonten, I don't think you should be staying up late any longer; you need your rest,” Xyma tells him, knowing that he would be up this night just like all the other times.

“I do this to make sure that the safety of our village is not threatened by whatever dare

“I can understand, but we have been fine this long, not wrong to take it easy once in a while. You are still in your young prime before coming to take such things seriously.”

“Xyma, tell me how much you happen to know about my bloodline being the second person who knows about the truth behind it.”

Gonten changed the talk into that topic he wanted to talk about with this woman, a healer who was someone close to him in caring for who happens to know about what makes his blood different from the rest of his kind and Gonten wants to gather more information from Xyma.
